091 Don Félix Gallego. The Sacred Host has its own light and emits LIGHT.

D. Alejandro Damians consiguió sacar, de noche, algunos fotogramas de los últimos instantes de la Comunión visible de Conchita. De uno de estos fotogramas es esta fotografía.

Don Alejandro Damians took some photographs in the last instants of Conchita’s visible Communion.  This is one of the photographs.

El Sr. Obispo de Santander, D. Eugenio Beitia Aldazabal, se interesó por este film y escribió a D. Alejandro Damians solicitando una copia del mismo ya que "podía ser de gran interés y servicio para la Iglesia".

Se puede ver que la Sagrada Forma tiene LUZ propia y un halo de luz alrededor. Según el testimonio de Pepe Díez apareció de repente y como una Forma normal pero viva y fue creciendo en espesor y circunferencia, con vida propia en su interior.

The Bishop of Santander, Fr. Eugenio Beitia Aldazabal was interested by this film and wrote to Don Alejandro Damians asking for copies because “it could be of great interest and service to the Church.”

You can see that the Sacred Host has its own LIGHT and a halo of light around it.  According to the testimony of Pepe Díez it appeared suddenly and was like a normal Host, but seemed to be alive, and its thickness grew as did its circumference, because of the life from within.

Según el testimonio de Benjamín Gómez la LUZ que desprendía era una LUZ muy agradable, como todo lo divino, y de un blanco muy brillante que sin embargo no cansaba nada la vista.

También dijo Benjamín que el blanco de la Sagrada Forma no se parecía a ningún otro de la tierra, es decir, que no puede verse toda su blancura ni su brillo en una foto por las limitaciones de esta.

Dios, en su inmenso Amor, ha querido darnos este obsequio de su Amor, una prueba visible de que Él está "real y verdaderamente" presente en la Santísima Eucaristía.

According to Benjamín Gómez the LIGHT that it emitted was very pleasant, like all things divine, and it was a very brilliant white, but it did not tire the eyes.

Benjamín also said that the white of the Sacred Host did not seem like any white on earth, that is to say, in a photo with its limitations, all of its whiteness and brilliance could not be seen.

God, in His immense Love, has wanted to give us this gift of his Love, a visible proof that He is “really and truly” present in the Holy Eucharist.

Don Félix Gallego fue testigo de esta LUZ.

Don Félix Gallego, médico de Requejada-Polanco, cerca de Torrelavega, cuenta cómo él mismo, después del milagro de la Comunión visible de Conchita y yendo la niña hacia la iglesia, vio perfectamente en derredor de su boca entreabierta una aureola de luz.

Don Félix Gallego was a witness of this LIGHT.

Don Félix Gallego, a doctor from Requejada-Polanco, near Torrelavega, tells how after the Miracle of Conchita’s visible Communion he saw a halo of light perfectly in the area surrounding her half opened mouth while the girl was going toward the Church.

El día 18 de julio de 1962, día en el que estaba anunciado el Milagro de la Forma, de la Comunión de Conchita, estaba yo con Faito Fontaneda en frente de la casa esperando el momento en que se produjese el milagro.

Como yo soy muy poco partidario de las masas le propuse a este amigo que nos fuéramos por atrás que así lo íbamos a ver mejor. Le propuse dar la vuelta a la casa y cogerla a la salida del camino. El no aceptó, total que al poco rato me fui yo solo dando vuelta a la esquina y me planté en el camino de la salida de Conchita precisamente en el sitio por donde ella luego iba a pasar.

Unos instantes después y a unos quince metros de distancia veo que viene Conchita con toda la masa de gente detrás. Después oí a la gente gritar:

-- Ya tiene la Forma ... ¡milagro, milagro! ... Conchita tiene la Forma en la lengua...

Don Félix said:

July 18, 1962, the day of the announced Miracle of the Host —of Conchita’s Communion— I was with Faito Fontaneda in front of the house waiting for the moment in which the Miracle would take place.

Since I am not very fond of crowds, I proposed to this friend that we go around the back so we could see better.  I proposed to go around the house and meet the girl on her way out to the road.  He did not accept, so after a little while, I went around the corner alone and planted myself in the path of Conchita’s way up, precisely in the place where she was going to pass.

A few moments later, and about fifteen meters away, I could see that Conchita was coming with a crowd of people behind her.  Afterward, I heard the people scream:

─ “She already has the Host… Miracle!  Miracle!... Conchita already has the Host on her tongue…”

Yo estaba a cierta distancia y lo que yo pude observar, cuando ya ella pasó de delante de mí, después de recibir la Comunión, fue un halo luminoso alrededor de su boca cerrada pero algo entreabierta.

Al ver este halo luminoso es cuando me convencí de que lo que decía la gente era verdad, que Conchita había Comulgado.

Con ello se elimina la sugestión, el que yo me sugestionara, ya que me encontraba solo, en un sitio de lo mejor para verla pasar de frente y no estaba inducido a pensar ninguna cosa antes de ver esto.

I was a certain distance away and what I could observe when she passed in front of me after receiving Communion, was a luminous halo around of her half-open mouth.

When I saw this luminous halo I was convinced that what the people said was true, and that Conchita had received Communion.

This eliminates the possibility of being affected by the power of suggestion since I was by myself in a spot where I could better see her pass by, I not in a position where I could be induced to think anything.

Esto se lo comenté a algunos amigos. Toda la vida he tenido este recuerdo de haber visto a Conchita llevando esta luminosidad, esta fluorescencia en la boca que me confirmó que había sucedido el Milagro cuando la gente gritó ¡milagro! y que los que estaban cerca lo vieron.

Este halo de luz fue para mí prueba suficiente de que el Milagro se había realizado. Por mi profesión de médico no le di entonces mucha publicidad pero si que lo comenté a mis amigos como prueba de la veracidad del mismo.

Aquella misma noche, ya de regreso en su casa de Polanco, D. Félix redactó un informe que días después entregó a don Valentín el párroco para que lo hiciera llegar, si le parecía conveniente, a sus superiores.

I commented on this with some friends.  All of my life, I have had this memory of having seen Conchita carrying this luminosity, this fluorescence in her mouth and this confirmed for me that the Miracle had happened when the people yelled, Miracle!  That which all those who were near saw.

This halo of light was sufficient proof for me that the Miracle had happened.  I didn’t give much publicity in my profession as a doctor, but I shared it with my friends as a proof of the veracity of it.

That same night, when he had already returned to his house in Polanco, don Félix wrote a report that he gave to Fr. Valentín, the pastor several days later so that he could deliver it to his superiors if it seemed convenient.
