The Apparitions of the Virgin Mary in
San Sebastián de Garabandal
307 Jaime
Fomperosa Aparicio
My life changed in front of the Virgin’s Pine.
I felt like I was going to die, but Our Lady came to help me and my life changed completely.
“Vengo por todos mis hijos.”
“I come for all of my children.”

¿Milagros,
alucinaciones, sugestiones?
Nada

Miracles, hallucinations, suggestions?
None of this! The events that I am going to relate are true and the greatest guarantee of their veracity is the testament of the life of the person who benefited from these events. In the time that has passed, he has given an example of Christian life and edifies all who know him and deal with him. It has been more than 35 years since these events happened and he has not blasphemed since. To respect his wish not to reveal his name, I will refer to him as ‘X.’
We find ourselves at the end of the year 1970.
We find X in a garage in Reinosa. According to habit, he blasphemed like a “truck driver.” Suddenly, he feels that he is taken by the arm by hands that do not seem human because of their delicacy and smoothness, and they lead him to a car that is parked in the garage. This car has a sticker of Our Lady of Garabandal on the back glass. When he felt himself taken by the arm, he turned his head, but HE DIDN’T SEE ANYONE.
dice: "GARABANDAL, GARABANDAL, GARABANDAL".
As the first fruit of this action, he immediately stopped blaspheming. The sticker had the following prayer: “Virgin of Garabandal, pray for us,” which X prayed with devotion. As soon as he recited this prayer, he received a locution which said: “GARABANDAL, GARABANDAL, GARABANDAL.”
After this extraordinary experience, X wanted to know more
about this Virgin. The owner of the car informed him that the Virgin had
appeared to some girls in the
After this unforgettable day, the word GARABANDAL resounded in X’s ears.
In order to visit this unusual village, on January 17, 1971, X travelled to Garabandal. He went around the small village and then asked if they celebrated Holy Mass in the village; he received an affirmative answer. After attending the celebration, on the way out he encountered (coincidence, providence?) the owner of the car from Reinosa, with whom he conversed. He began the ascent toward the Pines, stopping in the place where the angel had appeared to pray.
Lugar de la primera Aparición del
Ángel.
The place of the Angel’s first Apparition.
Once he ascended and knelt at the place in the Pines, he had a dramatic experience: he felt the presence of death as though his life was coming to an end. Seeing that the end was near, he prayed to the Virgin and told her that he didn’t care that the end was near if he could go with Her, but that he was in mortal sin.
Recibe
hombre nuevo".
He received a locution from the Virgin which said:
“YOU HAVE TO CONFESS THIS WEEK, YOU HAVE TO CONFESS THIS WEEK, YOU HAVE TO CONFESS THIS WEEK.” The mortal anxiety left him and he felt that “his life had changed, nothing was the same, he was a new man.”
Since back in those days he used to live in “Los Corrales de Buelna”, he began to attend the parish church beginning the next day, which was Monday, with the intention of confessing. The first day it was impossible: he was embarrassed and tormented; this continued on Tuesday, Wednesday, etc. until the situation remained the same on Saturday. On Saturday, he knelt in the Church and prayed to the Lord that since he had so many sins, how could he do an examination of conscience? He promised not to offend the Lord anymore. Then he felt an interior force that liberated him from all that hindered him from going to confession. With all normality, just like the rest of the faithful, he went to a confessor and confessed himself. Once he received absolution of his sins, he also received the Lord in Holy Communion and he experienced joy, happiness, peace, etc. at that moment. It cannot be expressed in human words, because it is an indescribable experience of mystical phenomenon.
The year 1971 came and he would attend Holy Mass and would receive Communion on his knees. During this year, the Communion rails were taken away and he began to receive on his feet. After Communion, he received the following locution from the Lord: “YOU HAVE TO RECEIVE ME ON YOUR KNEES, ON THE TONGUE, AS AN OFFERING.” The years passed and we met in Cóbreces, in a monastery of Trappist priests. It was August 20, the feast of St. Bernard. It is an important day and a day of solemnity for the Trappists, and for this reason the bishop was visiting. The celebration of the Holy Mass is also a great solemnity and the Communion is given in both forms. X thought to himself that he should not receive Communion on his knees because he was afraid that a drop of the Precious Blood might fall. He told the Lord in his mind that because of this fear, he would genuflect and then receive on his feet. The moment to receive Communion arrived, and he made a simple genuflection and when he was going to stand up, HE COULDN’T DO IT! As a result, he knelt and the priest leaned over toward him very carefully so not a single drop of the Precious Blood would spill, and he gave him Communion.
Primera:
¡¡¡QUE LA SANTÍSIMA VIRGEN SÍ ESTUVO EN GARABANDAL!!!
Segunda:
¡¡¡QUE EL SEÑOR DESEA QUE LOS FIELES QUE COMULGUEN LE RECIBAN DE RODILLAS Y EN
LA LENGUA!!!
JAIME FOMPEROSA APARICIO.
Before the events of supernatural character which I have narrated in this report, which were unknown, I understand that they should be an object of study for the Catholic Church. Any reader can see through this text that every Catholic has to have a spirit of conversion and receive the sacrament of Penance frequently, which is the habitual doctrine of the church. Above all, two important conclusions are deduced that do not admit any room for doubt given the clarity of the events.
First: THAT THE MOST HOLY VIRGIN WAS IN GARABANDAL!
Second: THAT THE LORD WANTS THE FAITHFUL WHO RECEIVE THE SACRAMENT TO DO SO ON THEIR KNEES AND ON THEIR TONGUE!
