Recompilación de datos entregados a mí por don Valentín Marichalar Torres, con los cuales adjuntaba una carta diciendo, que tanto lo escrito por él, como lo escrito por otras personas (de toda su confianza) podia tenerse por cierto.

This is a collection of facts given to me by don Valentín Marichalar Torres, enclosed with a letter that says that everything written here by him or others is a true statement of the facts. 

Cuaderno Primero

Día 18 de junio del 1961: (lo que sigue está escrito por Conchita)

            Después del Rosario a las 9 íbamos a coger manzanas a “pelar” y estuvimos sentadas en el camino y después se quitaron las ganas de cogerlas y estuvimos jugando a las canicas y después decíamos que a la mano derecha estaba el Angelín y a la izquierda el Demonín y después le tiramos con piedras al Demonín y al Angelín le decíamos que se estuviera con nosotras y después se nos apareció y yo que levanter la cabeza y di un grito y después las otras que me vieron a mí en éxtasis miraron para arriba y dijeron que “hay el Angel,” y después bajamos al pueblo y nos fuimos a la Iglesia y tropezamos a una niña y nos dijo que de donde veníamos que muy asustadas steams muy plaids y cuando entremos en la Iglesia fueron unas niñas y se lo dijeron a nuestra señorita y la señorita nos dijo que fuéramos allá tres días y después hasta el viernes no le volvimos a ver y no vimos nadamos que un cuadro.  El Angel hara como un niño pequeño y el vestido azul y las alas color garvanzo y la raya el medio y el lunes nos preguntó don Valentín que había pasado y nos preguntó por separado y le dijimos todos lo que habíamos visto, el lunes no hemos visto nada fuimos toda la semana allí.

First Notebook

June 18, 1961 (The following was written by Conchita)

            After the 9 o'clock rosary we went to pick apples.  We were sitting in the path and then we didn't want to pick apples anymore.  We played marbles and we were saying that the Angel was on our right side and the Devil on our left.  We threw stones at the Devil and asked the Angel to stay with us, and then we saw this thing appear.  I lifted my head up and yelled; the others saw me in ecstasy and said, "Oh, it's an Angel."  Then we went down to the village and to the church.  On our way there, we saw a little girl who asked us where we were coming from looking so scared and pale.  When we entered the church, some girls went to tell the teacher.  The teacher told us to return to the same spot for three days.  We went back there, but we didn't see anything more until Friday.  The Angel looked like a small boy with blue robes, pink wings, brown hair, and a smiling face with light skin.  On Monday, Fr. Valentín questioned us each separately, and we told him what we had seen.  We didn't see anything on Monday, but we went there all week.

            El 26 de lunes vimos al Angelín el 27 subió don Valentín y nos preguntó que había pasado y le dijimos que le habíamos visto como el día 18 levimos.  El 28, 29, y 30 de julio y el 2 domingo, nos dijo el secreto que no se lo podemos decir, ni a Lucía ni al Papa ni al Obispo ni a los sacerdotes.  No volvimos a verle hasta el sábado día 8 de julio que nos besó en las mejillas y en el frente y nos dijo que hasta mañana y el domingo día 9 le volvimos a ver y nos dijo que a ver como teníamos los dientes y él nos los enseñó a nosotros y nos besó según estábamos en fila.

            On Monday the 26th, we saw the Angel.  On the 27th, don Valentín went up and asked us what had happened and we told him, just as on the 18th.  The 28th, 29th, 30th, and July 1st and 2nd (Sunday), the Angel told us the secret that we are not allowed to tell anyone, not even Lucia or the Pope, or the Bishop, or the priests.  We did not see him again until Saturday, July 8th.  He kissed us on both cheeks and on the forehead and said, "until tomorrow."  We saw him again on Sunday the 9th, and he asked us how our teeth were and he showed us his teeth.  He kissed us one by one in a line.

            Sigue relatando don Valentín: Dice la Virgen que no puede ir nadie allí.  Anoche os dijo que fueráis en ayunas cuando estaban en éxtasis a comulgar de los ángeles, fueron Conchita, Mari Cruz, a las 8 comulgan las dos y dicen que hizo igual que hago yo, cuando doy la comunión

            Las otras dos Loli y Jacinta, fueron como a las 12 y comulgaron en la campuca más arriba de otras veces y despues el Angel les señaló donde estaba la Virgen y la Virgen las llamó con la mano.  La Virgen tenía 18 años y el Angel 9 años.

            Fr. Valentín continues:  The Virgin says that nobody can go there.  Last night she told them not to eat when they were in ecstasy so that they could receive Communion from the angels.  Conchita and Mari Cruz received Communion at 8 and they said the angel gave Communion the same way I did.

            The other two, Loli and Jacinta received Communion higher up in the campuca at 12.  Afterwards, the Angel showed them where the Virgin was, and the Virgin motioned to them with her hand.  The Virgin was about 18 years old, and the Angel was about 9 years old. 

            Según las niñas se les apareció los días 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, y siempre que ha dicho el día con tiempo siempre se ha cumplido.  El martes 11 vinieron el doctor Morales y el doctor Piñal.  No sé la opinión científica de los doctores, lo que si sé es que el doctor Morales dijo que el martes no sucedería nada, pues si las niñas estaban sugestionadas él las desgtionaria; cuando subían las niñas él estaba en el camino, pasaron las niñas sin hacerle caso y estuvieron en el mismo estados unos 7 minutos.  Al otro día, me dijeron: "No decía el carmelita que hoy no veríamos al Angel?" (El doctor Morales les había dicho que él era un carmelita).  Cuando llegue el día 9 a San Sebastián acompañdo de don Gilberto y don Liborio y un estudiante de Comillas, nos encontramos con las niñas acompañadas de otras cerca del pueblo, vi a las niñas muy contentas había mucha gente los sacerdotes les hicieron muchas preguntas, y el pueblo, a las 8 y media llegaron las niñas al sitio de costumbre y después de hacer la señal de la cruz las vi en el estado de siempre, pero esta vez muy contentas, las vi sonreír a todas, decir con la mano adios varias veces, se las veía mover los labios como si estuvieron hablando y para besar, duró 10 minutos, después las llevamos a la Iglesia, yo les pregunté una por una, me dijeron que el Angel les decía a ver que dientes más guapos tenéis?  Y que él también les enseñaba los suyos.  Después mandé a los sacerdotes y a los padres que pasasen a la sacristia y coincidían en lo mismo con ellos.  Supongo que habría cerca de 1,000 personas, me dijeron las había besado en la frente en las mejillas y ellas le habían besado a él.  El día 10 en la iglesia a las 4 me dijeron que tenían que decir el secreto ellas en la iglesia, después que las llame.  Los días 11, 12, y 13 dijeron que comulgaron.

            According to the girls, the Virgin appeared on the 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, and each day she told them the time before it happened.  On Tuesday the 11th, Dr. Morales and Dr. Piñal came.  I don't know the scientific opinions of these doctors, but I do know that Dr. Morales said that nothing would happen on Tuesday, that the girls were imagining things, and that he would take care of it.  When the girls were going up, he was in the way, but the girls didn't pay any attention to him and stayed in that state for about 7 minutes.  The other day they told me that the Carmelite told them that they would not see the Angel (Dr. Morales had told them that he was a Carmelite).  When I arrived in San Sebastián with Mr. Gilberto, Mr. Liborio, and a student from Comillas, we saw the visionaries with other girls from the village.  I saw that the girls were very happy.  There were many people and the priests asked them a lot of questions.  At about 8:30, the girls came to the usual place and after making the sign of the cross, they fell into ecstasy like always, but this time they were very happy.  They smiled at everyone and waved goodbye several times.  I saw that they moved their lips as though they were speaking and kissing.  This lasted for about 10 minutes.  Afterwards we took them to the Church where I questioned them one by one.  They all told me that the Angel told them that they had beautiful teeth and that he showed them his teeth as well.  I told the other priests and the parents to question them in the sacristy and they said the same thing.  I suppose there were about 1,000 people there.  They told me that the Angel kissed them on their cheeks and forehead and that they kissed him back.  On the 10th, at 4 o'clock, in the church, they told me that they had to tell me the secret after the calls.  They said that they received Communion on the 11th, 12th, and 13th.

            14 de julio: Estaban los 3 sacerdotes en la casa de Conchita don Pedro, el cura de Guernizo y yo entreteniéndolas con idea de que no se pusieran de acuerdo pero cuando llegó la hora de las 9 se nos escaparon ylos sacerdotes salieron corriendo detrás llegando al sitio de costumbre y quedando más o menos como siempre, les pregunté si habían comulgado me dijeron que sí a las 4.  Les pregunté si habían hablado con el Angel me dijeron que si, era secreto, me dijeron que no, pero que dijo el Angel que no lo dijera.  Les pregunté si volviera dijeron que sí.  Sacerdotes eran Salvador Anguio, Pedro Llanes, José Luís Gomez, Lizaso, José Gabriel Peña, José A. Cabada, Cosuso, Oceja, y don Pedro.

            On the 14th of July, there were three priests in Conchita's house.  Fr. Pedro, the pastor from Guarnizo and I were trying to keep them busy so that they would agree on the same story.  At 9 o'clock they got away and ran to the place where the apparitions usually occurred.  The girls went into ecstasy as always.  I asked them if they had received Communion and the four girls said yes.  I asked them if they'd talked to the Angel and they said yes.  I asked if it was a secret, and they said no but that the Angel said not to tell anyone.  I asked them if the Angel was going to return and they said yes.  The priests were Salvador Anguio, Pedro Llanes, José Luís Gómez, Lizaso, José Gabriel Peña, José A. Cabada, Cosuso, Oceja, and Fr. Pedro.

            Este día hice una prueba, conté con 2 sacerdotes las formas del Sagradario antes de la aparición les pregunté si habían comulgado me dijeron que si y mandé bajar a los dos sacerdotes, volvimos a contar las formas estaban completas, les exigí secreto de confesión.  Fui prudente no lo sé.  Pero bien sabe Dios que lo hice de buena fe.  Me dijeron que les dijo el Angel que subieron más despacio pues otro días subían corriendo, llevan de apariciones seguidas el sábado 8, domingo 9, lunes 10, martes 11, miércoles 12, jueves 13, viernes 14. 

            That day I tested them.  I was with two other priests counting all of the consecrated hosts.  After the apparition, I asked the girls if they went to Communion, and they said yes.  I counted all of the consecrated hosts again, and none were missing.  I made the girls go to confession.  I don't know whether this was prudent, but God knows I did it in good faith.  They told me that the Angel said that some days they went up slowly and other days they ran.  There were apparitions on Saturday the 8th, Sunday the 9th, Monday the 10th, Tuesday the 11th, Wednesday the 12th, Thursday the 13th, and Friday the 14th.

            Día 15.  Fueron como a las 9 menos cuarto estuvieron unos 7 minutos en el estado de siempre, comenzaron luego a hablar bajo, yo me acerqué y les entendí lo siguiente: "Haznos un milagro que la noche se convierta en día" (lo dijo Mari Cruz).  Conchita decía: "Haznos un milagro aunque sea chiquitín.  Después decían el cura del secreto no ha vuelto, bien sabe que la hizo.  Vino también un cura que tenía una visera y otro que tenía un cordón encarnado, (Este era Lago) y el otro (Oceja) también hablaba del carmelita (Morales).  Después contaron las cosas que habían hecho estos días, que les dice su madre que coman más, estuvieron así hasta las 9 y media.  Después rezaron el rosario, me dijeron habían comulgado y visto a la Virgen del Carmen que volviera mañana.

            On the 15th the apparition was at 8:45.  They were in ecstasy for 7 minutes and were talking very softly.  I approached them and I heard the following: (Mari Cruz) "Perform a miracle--make night turn into day" (Conchita) "Perform a miracle, even if it is a little one"  There were some priests there (Lago and Oceja) who were talking about the Carmelite (Morales).  The girls talked about what they did that day.  They were like this until 9:30.  They prayed the rosary, and they told me that they received Ccommunion and had seen the Virgin and that she would return tomorrow.

           Día 16, vimos al Angel como sonriente, cuando le preguntamos que nos da una señal se pone serio pero en seguida se le pasa y nos dice que iban ver al Angel y a la Virgen del Carmen.  El día 17 y 18.  Cuando subían ya notaban algo más fuerte que otras veces, les dijeron al Angel que tenían un pecadín, dijo que juro como hay Dios (efectivamente lo habían dicho por el día) y le dijimos que estaba enfadado con nosotras porque estaban muy serio y se echó a reír.  Me dicen que también comulgaron y el copón era amarillo, más pequeño y dice toma y trae, se lo sice a Conchita y cuando Conchita dice trae se ríe y las otras no dicen trae.  También me dice que comulga él, hasta ahora no me lo habían dicho (hasta aquí lo que me han dicho ellas).

            On the 16th, they saw the Angel smiling.  When they asked him to perform a miracle, he became serious, but then he smiled again and said that they would see him and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel on the 17th and 18th.  When they went up this time, I noticed something different from other times; they told the Angel that they had committed a small sin.  He said that God will judge and looked angry, but then he started to laugh.  They said that they received Communion and that the ciborium was yellow and smaller than mine.  The Angel told Conchita to take and bring it.  When Conchita said to bring it, he laughed, and the other girls didn't say to bring it.  They also told me that the Angel received the sacrament, which they hadn't told me before this time.

            Cuando yo subí a las 5 me las encontré con 4 o 5 cadenas y medallas, 2 o 3 rosarios, un reloj de pulsera, me enfadé un poco con Conchita y Loli, les quité todo y les deje nada más un rosario y una cadena de escapulario, les dije que tenían que obedecer al cura y los padres y después me dijeron que les había dicho el Angel que podían llevar las medallas pero tenían que obedecer al cura y a los padres y hacer vida de niñas como siempre.  Hoy comenzó un examen de las niñas por el doctor Piñal y don Francisco.  Me parece que bien.  No así me pareció el día que vino el señor Morales.

            When I went up, at 5 o'clock I found them with 4 or 5 chains and medals, 2 or 3 rosaries, and a wristwatch.  I was a little angry with Conchita and Loli, and I took everything away from them but one rosary and a chain with a scapular.  I told them that they had to obey the priest and their parents and they told me that the Angel said that they could bring the medals, but that they should obey the priest and their parents and live like children always.  Today, Dr. Piñal and Mr. Francisco began to examine the girls.  It seemed like they were doing well.  It wasn't the same way when Dr. Morales came.

            También cuando subí y les quité las medallas les dije algo enfadado que no sabía si iba a ser cosa del demonio y la madre de Conchita decía, "Estoy con usted; es cosa del espíritu maligno."  Después se lo preguntaron al Angel y él se reía.

            When I went up I took away the medals and I told them angrily that I didn't know whether or not this was from the Devil and Conchita's mother said, "I'm with you; this is from an evil spirit."  After this the girls asked the Angel and laughed.

            Día 17 de julio.  Vieron al Angel y a la Virgen del Carmen.  Las separaron como siempre, Jacinta y Loli en casa de Ceferino, Mari Cruz y Conchita en casa de Conchita.  Les preguntamos si el cura nos sacó el secreto, dijo el Angel que no, y me dijeron que constaba de 6 palabras y 33 letras.  Me dijeron que habían visto alrededor de la Virgen el secreto con letras muy grandes y mayúsculas todas, preguntaron, "Por qué les dejó escribir los palotes?" Contestó el Angel que para probarlas, asistieron unos 8 sacerdotes, dos doctores y 600 personas fuera, todos los días no han bajado, pero ha habido días que había cerca de 3,000 personas en domingo, muchos vienen por curiosidad, después que ven a las niñas cambian, he visto a hombre llorar.

            July 17th.  They saw the Angel and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.  They separated as always; Jacinta and Loli were in Ceferino's house, Mari Cruz and Conchita were in Conchita's house.  We asked them if the priest made them tell the secret, and the Angel said no, and that the secret was 6 words and 33 letters.  They told me that they had seen the secret next to the Virgin in very large, capital letters.  They asked, "Why is it written in script?"  The Angel answered that it was to test us.  8 priests, 2 doctors, and 600 people were present.  They didn't go down every day and by Sunday there were about 3,000 people.  Many people came out of curiosity.  After they saw the children, they changed; I have seen men cry.

De lo que se oyó el primer día de los pinos.

"No, no he desayunado...parecía que me traían arrastrando, no supe donde hasta llegar aquí, por qué no trajiste al niño?...Hay que chiquitín, cuántos años tiene?  Lo mismo que un primo que tengo yo.  Tú, cuántos tienes?...Como un hermano mío, yo tengo 12, como se llama el Angel?  Si ya me lo dijo él, pero por si acaso te lo pregunto a tí...Entonces el Arcángel San Miguel lo mismo que un hermano mío, mi hermano solo se llama Miguel sin San...Cómo llevas el vestido?  No, no puedo verlo me tapa tu manto, qué lindo!  Hay que corona...yo no sé como es... qué lindo déjamelo un poquitín, solo un poquitín para llevarlo al pueblo, luego te lo vuelvo aquí entonces esta tarde aquí y las otras abajo...y por qué no quieres que nos veía la gente...entonces la capilla ha de ser aquí...pero, si ahí no se tiene, yo no sé cómo puedes tenerte ahí...el secreto que nos diste no podemos decirselo a nadie, a Lucía no?...Entonces a Mari Cruz te la llevas contigo?  Por qué no me llevas también a mí?  Sufrir es lo de menos, lo mismo da, pero yo quisiera más que me llevases contigo.  Aquí no se puede entender un nombre que va seguido de esta frase...Se va carmelita?  Va a ir vestida como tú?  Tú no vistes como la otra, no, no, que no le vaya mal a Mari Cruz.  Entonces la agarro, para octubre el rosario?  Un día no pude verte no me dejaron subir...si tenemos que obedecer, pero primero a tí...bueno, pero a ti también tenemos que obedecerte...por qué ayer no nos llamaste como a las otras?...Tú me mandabas correr correr y yo no podía más y quería tener alas para correr mucho...sí, no, bueno, como tú quieras, entonces que hacemos y se repetían estas frases.

            What we heard the first day at the pines.

            "No, I haven't had breakfast... I felt like something was pushing me, I didn't know where until I got here, why didn't you bring the Infant?  Oh, he is so small, how old is he?  That's the same as one of my cousins.  How old are you?  Just like one of my brothers.  I am 12, what is the Angel's name?  Yes, he told me before, but I thought I'd ask you just the same... then the Archangel St. Michael, just like one of my brothers, but my brother is only Michael without the Saint... how do you wear your dresses? I can't see since your cape covers it.  How beautiful!  Oh, what a nice crown... I don't know... how beautiful, let me wear it for a little while, I just want to take it to the village, then I will return it here... why don't you want the people to see you too?  So you want the chapel to be built here... but if we can't build it here, I don't know how you can have one there... the secret you told us, we can't tell anyone, not even Lucia?  Well then will you take Mari Cruz with you?  Why don't you take me with you too?  I don't want to suffer, to me it is the same, but I want to go with you.  Here you can't understand a name if it doesn't follow your last name... a carmelite is leaving?  Is she going to dress like you?  You are not dressed like that one, no, no, I don't want anything to happen to Mari Cruz.  Then he took her.  The rosary in October?  One day I couldn't see you, they wouldn't let me... yes, we have to obey, but you first... why didn't you call us yesterday like the other times?  You made me run and run and I couldn't run anymore.  I would like to have wings so that I could run a lot.  Yes, no, well, as you wish, what should we do, and they repeated the sentences.

            En otra ocasión subíamos con Conchita y dijimos , "Mira, que si se cae el coche, " Dijo Conchita, "Igual me da."  Después al llegar las niñas estuvieron en éxtasis y decían a la Virgen, estate más solo llevas un minutito...que llevamos media hora?  Si solo llevamos dos minutos (se miró el reloj comprobando que era exactamente media hora lo que llevaban y siguieron hasta una hora y 5 minutos) y siguieron cantando y rezando.  Y le decía Conchita a la Virgen que se fuera a dormir a su cama y que ella se iría al pajar y le preguntó Conchita donde estaba el padre de niño, no sabemos la contestación pero la niña se puso a saltar de contenta, las niñas siempre decían a menudo no te vayas, otro poquitín, ay no te vayas! Quieres que cantemos o recemos más, que quieres que hagamos para que no te vayas, luego rezaron de broma la litanía y decía Santa Conchita, Santa Loli, total que no puedo describir el contento extraordinario de aquellas niñas aunque puede ser que fuera engaño y puede ser que hablasen con el niño y con la Virgen y fuera verdad los ademanes que hacían de colocarse la corona que la de la Virgen les estaba grande y no así la del niño que parecía solo les ocupaba un cuarto de la cabeza.  De este último relato no se puede precisar la fecha aunque parece que fue sobre los últimos días de julio de 1961.

            On another occasion we went up with Conchita, and we told her to look, that a car was falling, but Conchita said that she didn't care, and after the other girls arrived they were in ecstasy and told the Virgin, "Stay longer, you've only been here for a minute... it has been a half an hour?  It feels like two minutes" (I looked at my watch to see if the time was correct, and it had been exactly a half hour and the ecstasy continued until the total time was an hour and five minutes).  They were singing and praying.  Conchita told the Virgin to go to sleep in her bed and Conchita asked where the Infant's father was.  We don't know the answer but Conchita leapt with pleasure when she heard it.  The girls always said from time to time, "Don't go, a little longer, don't go! Do you want us to sing or pray more?  What do you want us to do so that you don't go?"  Later they said the litany in jest, saying St. Conchita, St. Loli; I cannot describe the happiness on their faces even though this wasn't true.  Or maybe they talked to the Infant and the Virgin and the things they did like trying on the Virgin's crown and acting like it was too big and acting like the Infant's was too small.  I don't remember the exact date that this happened, but I think it was in the last days of July 1961.

            Julio 23.  Loli dice que sintió la llamada hacia las 9.  Estaba en casa, que fueras hacia los pinos el Angel, y la viste a la Virgen del Carmen, le preguntamos si estaban las otras dos viendo al Angel y a la Virgen del Carmen y dijeron que sí, y dicen que vieron unas estrellas grandes con un rabo grande.  Dice Jacinta que les dijo Ceferino que cuando sintiesen la llamada se fuesen por el Fontañó dice que vieron las estrellas grandes con una cola y le preguntan si las veía las otras y dijo que sí, duró como unos 8 minutos.  Conchita vió al Angel y a la Virgen del Carmen, el vestido es blanco con flores blancas y el manto azul muy claro, nariz como la de la Virgen de la Iglesia, los ojos negros y las manos como las de aquí, estuvieron como 30 minutos y dice que la Virgen tenía el pelo hacia atrás, suelto, no comulgaron, Mari Cruz dice lo mismo.  Dice lo de las estrellas abajo.  Dicen que los martes a los pinos y que vaya Lucía y que vayan todos.  Me dicen que el segundo secreto son 18 palabras y el primero 6.  Desde ayer se aparece en sitios distinctos y separados hoy fue en los pinos, Loli y Jacinta, y Conchita y Mari Cruz en Prado de la fuente.

            July 23rd.  Loli says that she felt the call at 9.  She was in the house, and she went to the pines and saw Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.  We asked her if the other two were there seeing the Angel and the Virgin, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, and they said yes, and they said that they saw large stars with long tails.  Jacinta says that Ceferino told them that when they felt the call they should go to the fountain.  They then went to the pines, saw Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and the Angel and said that they saw large stars with tails.  Loli asked if the others were seeing the same thing, and they said yes, and that it lasted about 8 minutes.  Conchita saw the Angel and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.  The Virgin's dress is white with white flowers with a pale blue mantle.  Her nose was like the nose on the statue of the Virgin in the church, her eyes were black, and her hands were like ours.  They were there with her for about 30 minutes.  Loli says that the Virgin wore her black hair loose down her back.  They did not go to Communion; Mari Cruz says the same thing.  She said that they came down from the stars.  They said that everyone, including Lucia, should go to the pines on Tuesday.  They told me that the second secret is 18 words long and that the first secret is 6 words long.  Since yesterday, the Virgin has appeared in different places; today she appeared to Loli and Jacinta in the pines, and to Conchita and Mari Cruz near the fountain.

            Día 24 de julio.  Me dice Jacinta que le preguntaron si venía al otro día por la mañana, al mediodía y a la tarde, y dijo él que a la tarde y estaban el ángel y la Virgen  y dijo que a la tarde nada más, y le dijo otras cosas que me dice no puede decir, no comulgó, comulgó en la misa.  Dice Conchita que le preguntó al Angel y a la Virgen, si venía por la mañana al mediodía o a la tarde.  Y dijo la Virgen que a la tarde a los pinos y que llevaséis a Lucía.  Dice que a su parecer la Virgen tiene como más mandó más fuerza, dicen que la Virgen les dice cosas importantes, y me aseguran que el mensaje o secreto del Angel ya no lo dicen, que les dio otro la Virgen que es más importante, la mitad más, el 18 de octubre no saben donde ni quien, le preguntaban si vendráa toda la semana.  Dicen que les decían que iban a venir un día si y otro no, pero ellas le decían que viniera todos los días y dijeron que sí.  Estando un día en los pinos les dijo la Virgen y el Angel que iban a venir solo cada diez días y ellas les dijeron que viniese todos los días que solo un día era poco.  Comulgaron en la Iglesia y el Angel no les dio la comunión.

            July 24th.  Jacinta told me that they asked her if the Virgin would come the next day in the morning, afternoon, or at night.  She said in the afternoon, and the Angel and the Virgin said only in the afternoon.  Jacinta said that the Virgin told her other things that she couldn't tell me.  Jacinta didn't receive Communion because she'd received Communion at mass.  Conchita says that she asked the Angel and the Virgin if they were coming in the morning, afternoon, or at night.  The Virgin answered that they would come to the pines during the afternoon, and that the girls should bring Lucia.  The girls said that it seemed the Virgin was more determined, and stronger, and told them more important things, twice as important.  They didn't know who would come or what would happen on the 18th of October, but they asked the Virgin if she would come the rest of the week.  They said she used to tell them that she would come every other day, but then they would ask her to come every day and she would say yes.  One day, in the pines, the Virgin and the Angel said that they were only going to come every ten days.  The girls asked them to come every day, since waiting one day was long enough.  They received Communion in church, so they did not receive it from the Angel.

            Día 25 les apareció en la Fuente, estuvieron como 15 minutos, ayer vieron al Angel y a la Virgen del Carmen con el niño y cantaron el Himno de San Miguel y el Ave María, dicen que llevaban el compás con la cabeza y con la mano.  Este día hubo bastante confusión pues unos iban a los pinos, otros a la Calleja, y otros a la Fuente y por fin sucedió en la Fuente.

            On the 25th, the Virgin appeared to them at the Fountain.  They were there about 15 minutes.  Yesterday they saw the Angel and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel with the Infant, and they sang the Hymn of St. Michael and the Hail Mary.  They follow the rythmn with their heads and hands.  This day there was a lot of confusion because some people went to the pines, others to the Calleja, and others to the fountain.  It the end, the apparition took place at the fountain.

            Día 26 de julio (1961), Loli y Jacinta a las 12 estaban en la Calleja y sintieron una llamada como siempre y fuistéis al estucado y comulgaron y vieron a la Virgen del Carmen y al niño y al Angel, dicen que otras veces no traerá al niño que os dejó el niño, primero a Jacinta y de ella a Loli, el niño tiene corona y el niño es como de carne y tiene corona, envuelto con un manto estuvieron como 18 minutos, rezaron una estación, cuando comenzaron a rezar le vieron otra vez.  Dicen que el manto es azul y el vestido blanco con flores blancas.  les dijo que esta tarde fueron allí mismo a la campuca, cantaron el Himno de San Miguel y el Ave María.  Primero fueron Loli y Jacinta estuveron en la Calleja me dijeron que habían visto a la Virgen del Carmen y al Angel, al principio estuvieron serias, se les vio algunas lágrimas, después comenzaron a hablar, hacían que se ponían las coronas de la Virgen y del niño, también parecía que tenían a veces al niño y hacían el ademán de (mearle) esa es la palabra que ellas dijeron.  Duró como una hora y estuvieron hablando alto mucho tiempo, la conversación parecía de niñas, sin cosa transcendental.  Me dicen las niñas que a la Virgen parecía que no le gustaba alguna cosa.  Comulgaron Conchita y Mari Cruz en los pinos, por la tarde no comulgaron las otras dos.  Conchita y Mari Cruz subieron a los pinos, estuvieron como unos 30 minutos muy serias, a veces se les vio lágrimas y después cuando bajaron se volvieron a poner en el mismo estado abajo en la Calleja y cuando las otras dos estaban hablando entre si [mismos].

            On July 26, 1961, Loli and Jacinta were at the Calleja at 12 o'clock and they felt the call as always.  They received Communion and they saw the Virgin, the Infant, and the Angel.  They said that sometimes the Virgin didn't bring the Infant, and other times she would let them hold him: first Jacinta and then Loli.  The Infant wears a crown and feels like a human child; he is wrapped in a blanket.  They were there for about 18 minutes, and they prayed a station.  When they prayed, they saw the Infant once again.  They said that he was covered with a blue blanket and that his robe was white with white flowers.  The Angel told them to go there that afternoon, and they sang St. Michael's Hymn and the Hail Mary.  First Jacinta and Loli were in the Calleja and they told me that they had seen Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and the Angel.  First they were serious, and I saw them crying.  Then they started talking, and it looked like they were trying on the Virgin's and Infant's crowns.  Sometimes it also looked like they were carrying the Infant.  This lasted for about an hour, and they were talking during most of this time; it was children's talk, about very simple things.  The girls told me that it seemed like the Virgin didn't like something.  Conchita and Mari Cruz received Communion at the pines, but the other two didn't receive Communion in the afternoon.  Conchita and Mari Cruz went up to the pines, where they were very serious for about 30 minutes.  Sometimes I could see some tears and later, when they descended, they became the same way again.  In the Calleja, where the other two were talking, we couldn't hear what they were saying because they only talk amongst themselves.

            Día 27, después de la misa me dijeron que al mediodía les llamaba y al mediodía fueron a la Calleja y estuvieron como una hora, le preguntaron a la Virgen como traía el vestido color marrón (esta pregunta la oí yo y dicen que la Virgen contestó que podía traer los vestidos de cualquier color.  Aun ahora Conchita estaba como rígida y con los brazos hacia adelante y le decía Loli, "pon los brazos para abajo" y Conchita dijo, "ponme tu." y Loli le bajó un brazo, entonces yo hice ademán de bajarle el otro estaba totalmente rígida y al momento le bajó Loli el otro.  Pusieron la corona de la Virgen, hoy no trajo el niño y le preguntaban por él; comulgaron en la misa y en la Calleja no.  Hoy al mediodía duró una hora.  Por la tarde a las 8 y media fueron al sitio de costumbre.  Dicen que se quedaron como metros más abajo, dicen que vieron a la Virgen del Carmen y al Angel.  Estaba allí un dominico a quien ellas no habían visto y preguntaban a la Virgen quien era aquel cura, como se llamaba..."Anda dime como se llama ah! Sí?...es dominico?" Otra vez le decía: "Estate un poquitín más que no llevas nada más que un minuto."  Parece ser que entonces la Virgen le contestaba que llevaba una hora y cuarto (y ese tiempo es exacto). Me dijeron que por la tarde le veían otra vez comulgaron en la misa y no comulgaron en la Calleja.

            On the 27th, I said mass at noon and after that they were called to the Calleja and they stayed there for about an hour.  They asked the Virgin why she was wearing a brown dress (I heard them ask this and they told me that the Virgin replied that she could wear any color she wanted).  Conchita was rigid, with her arms in front of her; Loli told her to lower her arms.  Conchita told Loli to do it, and Loli put one of her arms down and I tried to put the other arm down.  Conchita was completely rigid, but Loli did it.  They tried on the Virgin's crown.  The Virgin didn't bring the Infant that day, and they asked about him.  They had received Communion at mass, so they didn't receive it in the Calleja.  They were there for about an hour.  In the afternoon, at about 8:30, they went to the usual place.  They were a few meters lower than usual, and they say that they saw Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and the Angel.  There was a Dominican priest there that the girls hadn't seen and they asked the Virgin who the priest was..."Come on, tell me what his name is! Yes? He's a Dominican?"  Another time they said, "Stay a little longer, since you have only been here a minute."  Then it seems the Virgin told them that she had been there for an hour and fifteen minutes (this was the exact amount of time).  They told me that they saw her again in the afternoon.  They received Communion at mass, not in the Calleja.

            Día 28 se marchó Conchita a Santander de acuerdo con el Señor Obispo.  Ella dijo que quería más quedarse pero si la llevaban se iba tranquila.  Por la mañana en misa comulgaron las 3 y Mari Cruz se fue al prado, las otras dos a eso de la 1, fueron a los pinos y estuvieron en ese estado como 3 o 4 minutos y preguntaron si las estaba viendo Conchita, primero ya habían dicho a la Virgen que si ella también la veía y ellas dijeron, "Ay, que gusto!"  Después rezaron el rosario y mandaron marcharse a todo y que los padres y sacerdotes estuvieran a distancia, yo las vi como minuto en ese estado y después cuando nos acercábamos estaban tristes como si hubiesen llorado, dijeron que tenían que llevar a dos hermanas más pequeñas.  Por la tarde subieron a los pinos y dijeron que no se acercase nadie, pero alejamos a la gente a una distancia prudente y después nos acercamos y dijeron que habían visto a la Virgen y al Angel y por la tarde a las 6 y media le preguntaban si lo veían Conchita, y la Virgen dijo que si.  Durómla cosa como una hora.

            On the 28th, Conchita went to Santander as the Bishop instructed.  She said that she wanted to stay in the village, but that if they were going to take her away, she would leave peacefully.  During the morning mass, the other three girls received Communion.  Afterwards, Mari Cruz went to the garden.  The other two went to the pines at about 1 o'clock.  They were in ecstasy for about 3 or 4 minutes and they asked the Virgin if Conchita was seeing her as well, but first they told the Virgin that Conchita was in Santander.  They said, "Oh, good!"  They prayed the rosary and they asked everyone to leave, but said that the priests and their parents were to stay at a distance.  They stayed in this state for several minutes and then when we came closer we saw that they were sad, and looked like they had been crying.  They said that they had to bring two of their younger sisters with them.  That afternoon, they went up to the pines and they said that no one could come near them, but that the people could watch from a distance.  They said that they saw the Virgin and the Angel at 6:30 in the afternoon and they asked if the Virgin and the Angel could see Conchita, and the Virgin said yes.  This lasted about an hour.

            Día 29.  No estuve por la mañana y me dicen a las 11 y media fueron a los pinos y Mari Cruz se quedó un poco más abajo.  El Angel la Virgen de Carmen con el niño comulgaron de manos del Angel dicen que les dio en la mejilla con su mano.  Cuando bajaron Loli and Jacinta estuvieron en éxtasis en la Calleja, dicen que vieron a la Virgen del Carmen.  Mari Cruz se marchó con su madre al Acebal desde los pinos.  Por la tarde a las 8 salieron de casa de Ceferino Loli y Jacinta y quedaron en éxtasis junto a la misma casa como unos 8 minutos y después dijeron que había dicho a Virgen que fuesen a los pinos y que no subieron nada más que los padres y sacerdotes.  Lo hicimos así, nosotros estábamos a una distancia como 30 metros, las veíamos pero no las oíamos, estuvieron en éxtasis como 20 minutos después nos acercamos para rezar el rosario y el segundo misterio se volvieron a quedar en éxtasis y les oíamos preguntar por Conchita parece que les entendí que Conchita le estaba viendo en Santander, estuvieron una hora y en un momento Loli se quedó natural, un minuto mientras la otra seguía en el mismo estado, cuando volvió al éxtasis le otra a la Virgen porque Loli se habí marchado y parece que le entendió para que lo veía la gente y creía, dicen que comulgaron por la mañana, dicen que vieron al Angel y a la Virgen del Carmen con el niño (este día al correr partir Loli una piedra aunque estaba en éxtasis se hizo daño).  Hicieron ademán de tener al niño en los brazos de besarle varias veces, así como la Virgen a ellas se pusieron la corona, le pidieron varias veces que no se fuera, desde hace unos días me dicen que dijo la Virgen que se les aparecerá donde quiera que estén.  Ayer dijeron que Conchita lo vio otra vez.  A Mari Cruz se le apareció junto a la casa, estuvo como 25 minutos.

            On the 29th, I wasn't there in the morning but they told me that at 11:30 Mari Cruz and the others went to the pines and stayed there, a little longer than usual.  The Angel, the Virgin, and the baby Jesus were there.  The girls received Communion from the hands of the Angel.  They said that the Angel touched their cheeks with his hand.  When Loli and Jacinta descended, they remained in ecstasy and went to the Calleja.  They said that they saw Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.  Mari Cruz went with her mother from the pines towards Acebal.  In the afternoon, at about 8, Lol, and Jacinta left Ceferino's house and fell into ecstasy outside of that same house for about 8 minutes.  Afterward, they said that the Virgin told them to go up to the pines and that only their parents and the priests should follow them.  We did as she said, and stayed about 30 meters away.  We saw them but we couldn't hear them.  They were in ecstasy for about 20 minutes; after it ended, we approached to say the rosary.  During the second mystery, they fell into ecstasy again and we heard them ask about Conchita.  I understood them to say that Conchita was seeing the Virgin in Santander.  They were like this for an hour, and then all of a sudden, Loli returned to her natural state for a minute, but the others continued in a state of ecstasy.  Then Loli fell into ecstasy again and asked the Virgin why she had fallen out of ecstasy.  It seems the Virgin answered that it was so the people would see and believe.  They said that they went to Communion in the morning; they said that they saw the Angel and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel with the Infant (this day Loli was running and hurt herself on a stone although she was in ecstasy).  They made movements indicating that they held a baby in their arms and kissed it several times.  They also put on the Virgin's crown and asked her not to leave several times.  A few days ago they told me that the Virgin said that she would appear to them wherever they were.  They said that Conchita saw the Virgin again yesterday.  The Virgin appears to Mari Cruz close to her house.  She saw the Virgin for about 25 minutes.

            Día 30 después de misa se les apareció junto a la escuela, estuvieron 30 minutos menos Mari Cruz que estuvo 15, le pedían un milagro aunque fuese pequeño, parece que le decía la Virgen ahora no porque ellas preguntaban, "Por qué no lo haces ahora?" Dicen que vieron a la Virgen del Carmen con el niño y el Angel.  También les entendí que la comunión se la había dado yo como así fue en la misa, también preguntaban si Conchita la veía y después me dijeron que no lo podían decir.  Por la tarde a las 7 y duró 30 minutos, después otra vez en el mismo balcón duró 15 minutos no asistió ningún sacerdote, después fueron a la iglesia, rezaron el rosario muy bien, duró 15 minutos.  Mari Cruz por la tarde, a las 7 y media en el balcón, duró 30 minutos.

            On the 30th, after mass, the Virgin appeared to them next to the school.  Loli and Jacinta were in ecstasy for about 30 minutes, and Mari Cruz was in ecstasy for about 15.  They asked for a miracle, even a little one.  It seems that the Virgin said not right now, because the girls asked, "Why don't you do it now?"  They said that they saw Our Lady of Mt. Carmel with the Infant and the Angel.  I also understood that the Communion that the Angel gave them was just like the Communion that I gave them.  I asked them if Conchita was also seeing the Virgin and later they told me that they didn't know.  That afternoon at 7, there was another ecstasy that lasted about 30 minutes and then another on the balcony that lasted about 15 minutes.  There was not a priest at either ecstasy.  Later they went to the church where they prayed the rosary very well, which lasted about 15 minutes.  Mari Cruz had another ecstasy in the afternoon at about 7:30 on the balcony which lasted for about 30 minutes.

            Día 31 de julio, después de la misa y comulgar en ella estuvieron Loli y Jacinta en ese estado dentro de la iglesia junto a la puerta rezando una estación y la litanía, estuvieron un rato serias tambié besaban cosas otras veces.  Después cuando Mari Cruz llegó de casa quedó en el mismo estado 7 minutos, se santiguó y me dijo que habí visto a la Virgen a al Angel.  Por la tarde a las 9 tuvieron la aparición las 3 junto a la casa de Ceferino, duró hora y 20 minutos, Mari Cruz estuvo menos tiempo se cogieron datos los padres jesuitas el profesor de Oña de Teología Elemental y un hermano de él y don Cipriano, dijeron rezó la Virgen delante.

            On July 31st, after receiving Communion during mass Loli and Jacinta fell into ecstasy inside of the church near the door while they were praying a station and a litany.  They were serious for awhile, and sometimes they kissed things.  Afterwards, when Mari Cruz went to her house, she fell into ecstasy for about 7 minutes.  She made the sign of the cross  and told me that she had seen the Virgin and the Angel.  That afternoon around 9, the three girls had an apparition near Ceferino's house.  It lasted about 20 minutes, but Mari Cruz was in ecstasy for less time.  This ecstasy was attended by Jesuit priests, a professor of  theology from Ona and his brother, and Fr. Cipriano, all of whom prayed to the Virgin.

            Día 1 de agosto, hubo una aparición a las 12:16-1:13 rezaron el rosario, dieron varias piedras a besar a la Virgen, a las 3:43-4:20 hubo otra rezaron una estació y dieron a besar medallas y piedras (las dos en los pinos y no estuvo Mari Cruz) y le enseñaron unas cuartillas donde estaba la estrofa de San Miguel.  Loli al enseñar el papel bajó los ojos para ver si estaba el papel bien frente a la Virgen (sería como segundo) cuando terminó dijo que así fue.  Esto de los datos se tomaron nota ante los jesuitas y don Cipriano.  Dijeron las niñas que vieron a la Virgen del Carmen y al Angel.  Por la tarde a las 9-2 se apareció en la Campuca, reazaron la estación y la Salve, a las 9 y 10 minutos rezaron el credo, se queda sola Loli en éxtasis, pregunta Jacinta donde se fue, duró hasta las 9:17 después dijo la Virgen que viniese a rezar el rosario a la iglesia vinerion las 2, al comulgar quedaron en éxtasis hasta terminar, cuando terminaron preguntaban que cuantas niñas había y ahora ninguno, después que se marchó la gente se quedó un sacerdote de paisano y me dijo se llamaba don José Sendino (Palencia).  Rezaba la Virgen delante dicen las niñas Mari Cruz estuvo todo el día en el prado con sus padres, no vino a misa, por la tarde tuvo aparición a las 9 en el corredor; dice que vio al Angel y a la Virgen del Carmen y comulgó y preguntaba a la Virgen, "Por qué no voy a los pinos?" Y decía, "Entonces, donde quiere que esté?"  Decía la Virgen  los coloños que había llevado, dijo que seis y su padre también había llevado total que estuvo contando lo que había hecho durante el día, estuvo presente Juanito.

            On August 1st, there was an apparition from 12:16-1:13.  They prayed the rosary and gave stones to the Virgin to kiss.  There was another apparition from 3:43-4:20.  They prayed and gave the Virgin some medals and stones to kiss (the two girls were at the pines; Mari Cruz wasn't there).  They showed her some papers that had verses about St. Michael.  When Loli showed the Virgin the paper, she lowered her eyes to make sure that the paper was in front of the Virgin (she was serious like this for a second) and when she was finished she told me how it happened.  This was noted by the Jesuits and Fr. Cipriano.  The girls said that they saw Our Lady of Mount Carmel and the Angel.  The Virgin appeared in the Campuca in the afternoon from 9-2.  The girls prayed a station and the Salve.  They prayed the Creed at 9:10.  Then Loli was the only one in ecstasy, and she asked Jacinta where she went.  This lasted until 9:17.  After this, the Virgin told them to pray the rosary in the church, and the two girls went.  After they received Communion, both of them fell into ecstasy until it ended.  When it ended they asked how many children were there.  I was there alone, and I looked around several times because they kept asking the same question.  Jacinta said that as many as there were, there were not any children there now.  Then all of the people left except a priest who told me that his name was Fr. José Sendino (Palencia).  The girls said that the Virgin prayed in front of them.  Mari Cruz spent the whole day in the garden with her parents, and she didn't go to mass.  She had an apparition at about 9 in the hall; she said that she saw Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and the Angel and that she received Communion.  The Virgin asked why she didn't go to the pines, and Mari Cruz asked where the Virgin wanted her to be.  The Virgin told Mari Cruz everything she'd done that day; Juanito witnessed this.

            De otro relato se sabe que fueron Loli y Jacinta después de misa a los pinos, comenzando la aparición a las 11:16 y terminando como una hora después.  Rezaron una estación la Virgen delante, dieron a besar piedras, nada más que esta, dieron a besar unas 6, más tarde Loli y Jacinta en los  pinos, a la 1 y diez dijeron, "Don Valentín está durmiendo" (era cierto) cuando estaban rezando la estación dicen que vino la Reina de los angeles a traer la comida, decía Jacinta al niño: "Que poco comes."  A la tarde volvió preguntaron por Conchita que estaba en Santander, se acordaba mucho de ella y tuvieron visita del sacerdote de Requejo (Reinosa).  Mari Cruz estuvo en el balcón 20 minutos decía: "Por qué, sí, sí, no sé, no sé, sí (se reía)."  Me dijo un sacerdote que pidiese por los sacerdotes y seminaristas (esto era cierto)..."No lo sé, rezó la estación, y el credo y la Salve."

            Another time, Loli and Jacinta went to the pines after mass and had an apparition that started at 11:16 and ended about an hour later.  They prayed a station in front of the Virgin and gave her about 6 stones to kiss.  Later, at 1:10 Loli and Jacinta were at the pines, and they said that Fr. Valentín was sleeping (which was true).  While they were praying a station, they said that the Queen of Angels brought food.  Jacinta told the Infant, "How little you eat."  In the afternoon they asked about Conchita again, and said that she was in Santander, that they thought about her a lot, and that she had been visited by a priest from Requejo (Reinosa).  Mari Cruz was on the balcony for 20 minutes saying, "Why, yes, yes, I don't know, I don't know, yes," while laughing, "A priest told me to pray for the priests and seminarians (this was true) I don't know..."  She prayed a station, the Creed, and a Salve.

            2 de agosto, fueron a los pinos duró un cuarto de hora, no comulgaron, decía la Virgen que vendría a la una y decía Jacinta no a las 10 porque tengo que ir a llevar la comida, esto se repitió varias veces, al darle una piedra a Jacinta dice que le dijo la Virgen, esta para don y ella añadió Juan y le dijeron a la Virgen que don Juan estaba en unas piedras más abajo, rezaron una estación, la Virgen delante, Mari Cruz estuvo sola en un balcón, rezó una estación en público, Credo y Salve.  Estuvieron varios sacerdotes y unas 200 personas.

            On August 2nd, they went to the pines and the ecstasy lasted a quarter of an hour, they didn't receive Communion, and the Virgin said that she would come back at 1 o'clock.  Jacinta told the Virgin that 10 would be better since she had to bring the food to the workers.  Jacinta repeated this several times.  The Virgin gave Jacinta a stone and said that it was for Mr. and then she added Juan.   They told the Virgin that Mr. Juan was around some stones a little lower.  They prayed a station with the Virgin in front of them.  Mari Cruz was by herself on the balcony.  She said a station in front of the people, as well as the Creed and the Salve.  There were several priests and about 200 people there.

            Día 3 a la 1:07 subieron a los pinos Loli y Jacinta, rezaron la estación la Virgen delante, dan a besar rosarios, ponen coronas, dan a besar rosarios, le dicen vuelve pronto, a qué hora, cuando nos llames, terminó a la 1:17.   Por la tarde comenzó a las 9:05, rezaron el rosario, al primer Padre Nuestro se extasiaron, hablaron con el Angel, le cantan a San Miguel, sucedió unas cosa extraña, las niñas cayeron de espaldas, a Jacinta la cogió su madre y a Loli el Director General de Seguridad, estuvieron como 10 minutos, luego les preguntaron quien las tumbó, terminó a las 10:20, dijeron que había que ir a rezar a la iglesia, al primer Padre Nuestro cayeron de espaldas en la iglesia, estuverion de rodillas en la primera grada del altar como 12 minutos, preguntan por Conchita, está en casa, llegó entonces, después que terminaron decían que quien las había tumbado, Jacinta tenía un pequeño cardenal en el brazo y en el codo, volvieron a rezar el rosario, les mandé que rezaran como siempre en la alfombra, se reían, les pregunté por qué no se habían puesto en la alfombra, me dijeron que “La Virgen les había dicho que aquel era el sitio de don Valentín y que se pusieran a los lados.” Mari Cruz no fue a misa, por la tarde no vio nada, esto es la primera vez que pasa, aunque ella había dicho la noche anterior que si la tendría, hoy vino Conchita de Santander (todo esto lo escribe don Juan por encarde de don Valentín).

            On the 3rd, at 1:07 Loli and Jacinta went up to the pines and prayed a station with the Virgin in front of them.  They gave rosaries to be kissed, put on the crowns, gave rosaries to be kissed again, told the Virgin to return soon, asked what time she would be calling them.  This ecstasy ended at 1:17.  In the afternoon, at 9:05, they prayed the rosary; during the first Our Father they went into ecstasy, talked to the Angel, sang to St. Michael.  Something unusual happened.  The girls fell backwards.  Jacinta's mother held her daughter, and the Director of the Heath Department held Loli.  They stayed like this for 10 minutes, then they asked why they fell down.  It ended at 10:20 when they said that they had to go and pray in the church.  During the first Our Father, they fell backwards in the church.  They were on their knees on the first step of the altar for about 12 minutes.  They asked for Conchita, and she was in her house.  She came then, and prayed the rosary.  After it ended, they said that they had fallen down.  Jacinta had a little mark on her arm and her elbow.  They began to pray the rosary again, and I told them to pray it on the carpet like always.  They laughed, and I asked them why they did not go onto the carpet.  They told me that the Virgin had told them that this was Fr. Valentín's place, to stand on one side.  Mari Cruz didn't go to mass, and she didn't see anything during the afternoon.  This was the first time that it happened, even though she said that she had an apparition last night.  Conchita returned from Santander today (this was written by Mr. Juan at the request of Fr. Valentín).

Día 4 de agosto: Fueron Conchita y Dolores.  Duró 33 minutos.  Cuando llegaron se quedaron en éxtasis y comenzaron a mostrar rosarios y medallas.  Hacían como que ponían la corona y besaban al niño.  Luego se cayeron de rodillas para atrás, primero Jacinta y luego María Dolores.  A los 3 minutos se pusieron de rodillas otra vez.  Jacinta le decía a la Virgen de Conchita: “ya vino” y que le quitaron las trenzas y que está muy guapa como tú y morena porque iba a la playa.  A los 24 minutos María Dolores se puso natural y contemplaba riéndose a Jacinta.  De pronto se puso en éxtasis se puso la corona del niño, a la media hora desapareció el éxtasis y como había un Director de Manicomio de Salamanca que tenía un magnetofón comenzó a preguntarles qué habían visto, dijeron que la Virgen del Carmen y el Angel.  Estando así entendando con el micro volvieron a caer el éxtasis y María Dolores decía con mucho interés señalando al micro, anda habla tú para que la gente crea, porque no, anda si habla... “Por la tarde fueron a los pinos las mismas, a las 8 dieron a besar rosarios, medallas, después cayeron hacia atrás, estuverion 5 minutos, se levantaron, dieron unos pasos a otro pino de la derecha, dijeron que la Virgen se había pasado al otro pino y que las llamaba y ellas decían que no podían pero fueron andando sin caerse en ese estado.  Terminó.  Bajaron a la iglesia naturales, al llegar al altar mayor cayeron de rodillas en éxtasis, se levantaron y retrocedieron de espaldas hasta el altar del rosario rezando un rosario muy despacio y claro litanía, Salve, Credo, parece que alguien las acompañaba pues solo rezaban una parte, le pregunté dijeron que la Virgen.  Esta tarde Conchita dijo que habí oído una voz que la llamaba y su madre Maximina dijeron que les contó todo lo que le pase en los pinos y en la iglesia (part cut off at the bottom of page 15).  Estuverion en misa y comulgaron, Conchita también pero sin ir a los pinos.

On the 4th of August, Jacinta and María Dolores had an ecstasy.  It lasted 33 minutes.  When they arrived they went into ecstasy and they started showing rosaries and medals.  They acted like they were putting on the crown and kissing the Infant.  Later they fell backwards on their knees, first Jacinta, and later María Dolores.  After several minutes they knelt again.  Jacinta told the Virgin about Conchita, saying, "She's already here" and told her that they had cut off Conchita's braids and that she was very beautiful like the Virgin and tanned from the beach.  After 24 minutes, María Dolores became normal and watched Jacinta laughing.  Suddenly, she fell into ecstasy again, and she put on the Infant's crown.  After half an hour the ecstasy stopped.  The Director of a Mental Asylum in Salamanca was there, and he asked them what they had seen.  They responded that they had seen Our Lady of Mt. Carmel and the Angel.  He was standing with a microphone in his hand when they fell into ecstasy again.  María Dolores motioned toward the microphone and said, "Speak so that the people will believe. Why not... go ahead and speak..."  During the afternoon the same girls went to the pines.  At 8 o'clock they began to give rosaries and medals to be kissed.  Then they fell backwards, and they were like that for 5 minutes.  They got up, walked between the two pines, and they said that the Virgin had passed to the other pine and called them.  The girls said that they could not but they walked without falling while in ecstasy.  It ended.  They descended to the church in a natural state.  When they arrived at the main altar they fell on their knees in ecstasy and they got up and walked backwards to the rosary altar.  They prayed the rosary very slowly and they prayed a very clear litany, Salve, and Creed.  It seemed like someone was praying with them because they only prayed one part.  When I asked them, they answered that the Virgin was praying with them.  That afternoon Conchita said that she had heard a voice that called her and her mother. Maximina said that she told them everything that had happened.  They were at mass, and went to Communion, Conchita as well, but she didn't go to the pines.

Día 5 de agosto, a las 2 de la tarde llegaron más arriba de los pinos, se arrodillan Loli, Conchita, y Jacinta, preguntan: ¿Nos vamos a donde, a la Iglesia? Y bajaron desde allí hasta la Iglesia en éxtasis, fueron al altar mayor, estuvieron unos minutos, pasaron por detrás cogidas y fueron al altar de la Imaculada.  Cayeron para atrás, las tuvieron las madres, le levantaron rezaron el rosario en ese estado muy bien, Conchita delante, las otras contestaban, después una estación normal, duró hora y media.  Por la tarde llegaron a la Iglesia a las 9 y media hasta las 10 y cuarto.  Estaba en el portal cuando llegaron, quise pasarlas y no pude, llegaron al altar mayor se pusieron de rodillas en éxtasis y comenzaron a decir algunas palabras.  Conchita pedía perdón por haber ido a la playa, al cine y hacían mucho hincapié para que hiciera un milagro y así 15 minutos.  Después cayeron hacia atrás estuvieron 12 minutos, se pusieron de pie, retrocedieron al altar del rosario, rezaron el rosario Conchita delante las otras detrás, Conchita lloraba, las otras menos, terminó el éxtasis y rezaron una estación con la gente.  Preguntaban que por qué Mari Cruz no la veía.

On August 5th, at 2 in the afternoon, they arrived higher up in the pines, and Loli, Conchita, and Jacinta knelt and asked, "We go where? To the church?"  And they descended to the church in ecstasy.  They went to the main altar and stayed there for several minutes.  Then they went to the altar of the Immaculata.  They fell backwards and their mothers held them.  Then they stood and prayed the rosary very well in this state.  Conchita led and the others answered; then they prayed a station.  This lasted for an hour and a half.  In the afternoon they went to the church from 9:30 until 10:15.  I was in the entrance when they came; I wanted to pass them, but I couldn't.  They went up to the main altar and fell on their knees in ecstasy and they began to speak.  Conchita asked forgiveness for going to the beach and the movie theater, and then asked the Virgin to perform a miracle.  This went on for 15 minutes.  After this they fell backwards and stayed like that for 12 minutes.  Then they stood up and went back to the rosary altar.  Conchita led the rosary and the others answered.  Conchita cried, but the others did not cry as much.  The ecstasy ended and they prayed a station with the people.  They asked why Mari Cruz didn't see her.

Día 6, fueron a misa comulgaron, le pregunté a Conchita que por donde había salido de su casa el día anterior, ella dice que por la puerta, su madre Maximina dice que no la vieron y estaban en la puerta.  Por la tarde a las 9 y cuarto llegó Conchita con un minuto de adelanto de Loli y Jacinta, estaba cada una en su casa, nada más llegar se pusieron en éxtasis, a las 9 y media cayó Conchita a los 15 segundos Loli, y al momento Jacinta.  A los 3 minutos se ponen de rodillas las 3 y enseñan rosarios y medallas, se ponen de pie, van hacia el altar del rosario, lo rezan, una delante las otras detrás y al terminar termina el éxtasis a las 10:12.  Después una estación en estado natural, ¡Qué diferencia en el rezo!

On the 6th, they went to mass and received the sacrament.  I asked Conchita where she had gone when she'd left her house the day before.  She said that she'd been by the door, even though her mother and Maximina said that they didn't see her there.  In the afternoon, at 9:15, Conchita came a minute before Loli and Jacinta.  Each girl was in her own house, and when they arrived there, they fell into ecstasy immediately.  Conchita fell into ecstasy at 9:30, Loli 15 seconds later, and then Jacinta.  After 3 minutes they fell on their knees and the three girls began to show the Virgin rosaries and medals.  They stood up and went towards the rosary altar and prayed a rosary, one girl leading and the others responding.  When they finished, the ecstasy ended at 10:12.  After this, they prayed a station in the natural state.  What a difference between the prayers!

Día 7 agosto 1961.  Fueron las 4 a la Iglesia, a las dos (Mari Cruz hacia tres días que no veía nada, y vino una tía de Madrid y la llevaba al Prado y le decían a la madre que estaba enferma, y las otras también).  Vieron a la Virgen del Carmen.  Llegaron al altar mayor, estuvieron derribadas en el suelo, se levantaron y retrocedieron al altar del Rosario y estuvieron derribadas hacia al lado de Conchita.  Rezaron el Rosario terminó a las tres y cuarto.  Después la Estación.

On the 7th of August, the four girls went to the church at 2 o'clock.  Mari Cruz hadn't seen anything for 3 days.  One of her aunts came from Madrid and said that Mari Cruz and the others were sick.  They saw Our Lady of Mt. Carmel when they arrived at the main altar.  They were prostrate on the ground.  Then they stood up and went backwards to the rosary altar.  They prostrated themselves there and prayed the rosary.  It ended at 3:15.  After that, they prayed a station.

            Les dijo la Virgen que estuviesen en las casas separadas.  A las 7 y media fueron a la Iglesia, salieron todas de casa de Conchita, esta se quedó junto a la pila del agua bendita, al comenzar a satinguarse se hacia donde estaban las otras salieron todas en éxtasis.  Era noche oscura, al llegar a casa de Conchita se arrodillaron unos minutos, donde atrás tuvieron aparición.  Después fueron al mazanar, se arrodillaron unos segundos, desde allí a la calleja en la estacada, salieron y fueron a los pinos, se arrodillaron unos minutos, regresaron a la Iglesia rezando, rosario, estación y escapulario, terminó el éxtasis de hora y media.  Volvieron a rezar otro rosario y estación, les pregunté y me dijeron que durante su recorrido veían como si fuese de día.  Loli perdió un rosario, les buscaron mucho y al otro día la Virgen le dijo a Loli donde estaba, y lo encontró.

            The Virgin told them to stay separated in their houses.  At 7:30 they went to the church.  They all left from Conchita's house, and Conchita stood next to the baptismal fount.  When they blessed themselves, they fell into ecstasy.  It was a dark night, and when they arrived at Conchita's house they knelt for a few minutes and they had the apparition.  Later they went to the apple tree where they knelt down for a few minutes.  From there they went to the Calleja, and then they went toward the pines where they knelt for a few minutes.  They returned to the church and prayed a rosary and a station.  The ecstasy ended after an hour and a half.  They prayed another rosary and another station.  I questioned them and they told me that they saw as though it had been day time while they had been running.  Loli lost a rosary, and we looked for it everywhere.  The next day the Virgin told Loli where it was, and she found it.

            Día 8 de agosto 1961.  Estuvo el Padre Royo Marin y dijo en público: “Yo no soy infalible, pero si especialistaen estas materias y he visto 4 puntos importantísimos y crio que esto es sobrenatural...” (Pone que lo afirma, pero esto dijo el Padre no era cierto).  Estuvo también el Padre Andreu, el teólogo, y dijo algo parecido; el padre Rodrigo dijo que el haber llevado a Conchita a la playa era una gran imprudencia.  Hablé con el Padre Andreu en Cosío, a la una, estaba preocupado, le llamé estando en el coche y le pregunté si estaba dormido, bajo del coche, me dijo poco más o menos lo de arriba,  y que para él, era cosa sobrenatural, pero que todavía no podía ni convenía decirlo, porque toda cautela será poca en estas cosas por parte de la Iglesia.

            August 8, 1961.  Fr. Royo Marin was here and he told the people: "I'm not infallible, but I specialize in these matters and I have seen the 4 important characteristics and I believe that this is supernatural" (He wrote that he believed it, but that he wasn't certain.)  Fr. Andreu, the theologian, was there as well, and he said something similar.  Fr. Rodrigo said that taking Conchita to the beach had been most imprudent.   I spoke with Fr. Andreu in Cosío at 1 o'clock and he was worried.  I called him from the car and I asked him if he was tired.  He came down from the car and told me more or less the same thing that had been said above.  He said that for him it was supernatural but that he could not state it officially because one had to be careful about these things in the Church.

            Día 10 de agosto.  Llegó uno de Aguilar y me dio la noticia de la muerte del Padre Andreu.  Me impresionó mucho y entonces me enteré que había perdido un rosario que le había dejado a Loli y él le dijo a Loli que no se apurara que si él no volvía que se lo diese a su hermano, cuando parecía Día 9 de agosto.  (Viene así en la relación).  Llegaron las niñas a la Iglesia a las 10:20, se arrodillaron, estuvieron unos momentos ante el altar mayor, después retrocedieron de espalda hasta la puerta e hicieron el recorrido por todas las partes donde habían tenido aparición; tardaron en regresar media hora y después llegaron a la Iglesia, comenzando un rosario en este estado.  Así rezaron un misterio y después se incorpora las tres siguieron rezando el rosario de rodillas, las cuatro luego una estación y terminó el éxtasis.

            August 10th.  Someone from Aguilar came and gave me the notice announcing the death of Fr. Andreu.  This impressed me, and I knew that he had lost a rosary and had told Loli to give it to his brother if he didn't come back for it.  August 9th (the story goes out of order).  The girls arrived at the church at 10:20 and knelt down.   They were like that for a few minutes in front of the main altar, and then they walked backwards until they reached the door.  They ran through all of the parts of the village where the apparitions had occurred.  This lasted for half an hour.  They returned to the church and prayed a rosary in this state.  They prayed a mystery like this and then the three continued to pray the rosary, but on their knees.  Then the four prayed a station and the ecstasy ended.

            Día 10 de agosto otra vez.  Dije la Santa Misa, comulgaron las 3 menos Mari Cruz que no vino, por la tarde a las 8 y media recé el rosario como de costumbre en la parroquía, a las 9:20 llegaron a la iglesia, estaba cerrada y se quedaron a la puerta, había mucha gente, apenas podían pasar cayeron de rodillas junto a la puerta, estuvieron un minuto, regresaron en éxtasis recorriendo los sitios del día anterior, llegaron a los pinos.  Al llegar a la campuca Loli se adelantó y como las otras se hincaron unos segundos donde había habido otra aparición días atrás, Loli, casi totalmente doblada hacia atrás, pues me dijo luego que si no veía a la Virgen, y después regresaron a la iglesia a las 10 y cuarto rezando el rosario, el Padre Nuestro por que Padre tan bueno que murió, terminó a las 10.  Después otro rosario en estado natural, luego les pregunté a quien habían visto dijeron las 4 que la Virgen del Carmen, la iglesia estaba llena de forasteros había 4 sacerdotes.

            August 10th again.  I said the Holy Mass, and the three girls received the sacrament.  Mari Cruz did not come.  I prayed the rosary in the afternoon at 8:30 as always.  At 9:20 they arrived at the church, but it was closed.  They stayed at the door, and there were many people there with them.  They fell to their knees at the church door and they were like that for a minute in ecstasy.  Then they began to run in ecstasy to all of the places from the previous day.  When they arrived at the pines, Loli was almost completely bent backwards.  They stayed for a few seconds where there had been an apparition a few days before.  Loli, who was almost completely bent backwards, told me that in order to see the Virgin, they had to go back to the church at 10:15 praying the rosary.  They prayed an Our Father for the good priest (Fr. Andreu) who had died, and it finished at 10.  After that, they prayed another rosary in the normal state.  I asked them who they had seen and they said that they had seen Our Lady of Mt. Carmel; the church was full of people from other places and there were four priests.

            Día 11 de agosto.  Dije la Misa a las 8 y media.  Comulgaron las 3, Mari Cruz no vino, llegaron a la iglesia a las 10 y cuarto, Loli y Jacinta estuvieron dos minutos, salieron paseando por el pueblo, y al minuto de salir llegó Conchita que estuvo un minuto en éxtasis en el altar mayor luego salió andando de espaldas y fue a la Calleja donde se arrodilló, subió hacia arriba, antes del llegar a la Campuca regresó hacia el pueblo y junto a la casa de Cándido se encontró con Loli y Jacinta que subían del pueblo, se abrazaron y subieron hasta los pinos, volvieron a la iglesia siempre en éxtasis, llegaron a las 11, preguntaron por el padre muerto, quel padre tan bueno, que donde estaba (yo les pregunté después y me dijeron que ya se lo diría a ellas la Virgen), después estuvieron hablando hasta las 10:20, Jacinta tenía un crucifijo que le dio un señor...no sé como se llama—decía—venía con don Valentín, es dominico?  Después estuvo hablando de cuando Conchita estuvo en Santander, que don Francisco era muy bueno, que don Luís le decía, “¡hala, hala!” a la playa, que Piñal era muy serio, que le mandaba mirar a la nariz y que ella no se atrevía a reírse para que no se enfadase el señor Piñal.  Después decía hablando de la playa, pero yo fui porque me mandaban, por aquí han pasado sacerdotes, carmelitas, dominico, jesuitas, religiosas.  Que todos los sacerdotes son muy buenos, que quiere tener confianza como con don Valentín, aunque a veces se pone muy serio.  Rezaron un rosario en ese estado y 6 Padres Nuestros por el Padre muerto, como siempre no se confundieron y luego Salve y Credo.  Terminó a las 12:20, después rezaron otro rosario en estado natural por el Padre.

            On August 11th, I celebrated mass at 8:30.  The three girls received Communion, but Mari Cruz did not come.  They arrived at the church at 10:15; Loli and Jacinta were there for two minutes before they went through the town.  As they left, Conchita went into ecstasy for a minute near the main altar.  Then she left and walked backwards to the Calleja, where she fell on her knees.  She went through the village, and then to Candido's house, where she met Loli and Jacinta.  They all linked arms and went up to the pines.  They returned to the church, still in ecstasy, at 11.  They asked about the dead priest, who was so good, and where he was (afterwards when I asked them about this they said that the Virgin had answered them).  They talked until 11:20.  Jacinta had a crucifix and she gave it to a man.  She said that she didn't know his name, that he had come with Fr. Valentín, and asked if he was a Dominican.  After that, Conchita talked about when she was in Santander, and said that Fr. Francisco was very good, that Fr. Luís would say, "hala, hala!" at the beach, that Dr. Piñal was very serious and he had asked her to look at his nose and she didn't dare laugh and anger Dr. Piñal.  Then she talked about the beach, saying she went because they ordered her to go (the priests, seminarians, and nuns that had been there).  She said that all of the priests were very good, and that she wanted to trust them, as she trusted Fr. Valentín, even though he was very serious sometimes.  While in this state, they prayed a rosary and 6 Our Fathers for Fr. Andreu.  Then they prayed the Salve and the Creed.  They finished at 12:20 and then they prayed another rosary for Fr. Andreu in the natural state.

            Día 12, llegaron a la iglesia a las 10, Jacinta y Loli estuvieron dos minutos, en en altar mayor, al minuto llegaron Mari Cruz y Conchita, salieron todas de la iglesia fueron por el pueblo estuvieron en los sitios done ha habido aparición, volvieron a la iglesia y al entrar estuvieron unos segundos, desde allí fueron a la Calleja donde está la estacada, entraron, se arrodillaron unos minutos, se levantaron, regresaron a la iglesia, rezaron el rosario.  Volvieron a salir, en varios lugares lloran dicen que vieron estrellas con rasgos muy grandes, 7 estrellas con esos rasgos.

            On August 12th, they arrived at the church at 10.  Jacinta and Loli were there for 2 minutes at the main altar, and then at that moment Mari Cruz and Conchita arrived.  They all left the church and went through the village, going to all of the places where there had been apparitions.  They returned to the church and stayed there for a few moments.  From there they went to the Calleja where they built a little altar.  They knelt for a few minutes, then they got up, went back to the church, and prayed the rosary.  They went back out, and they cried in several places saying that they saw stars with streaks of light, seven stars with these streaks.

            Día 13.  En éxtasis después del rosario a las 9, rezaron otro rosario en éxtasis y salieron así al pueblo, entraron y salieron muchas veces a la iglesia, cuando se juntaban se abrazaban y se alegraban mucho, duró hasta las 10 y media.

            August 13th.  After the rosary at 9 o'clock, they had an ecstasy and they prayed the rosary again while in ecstasty.  They left like this and went through the village, entering and exiting the church various times.  They came together and linked arms, and they seemed very happy.  This lasted until 10:30.

            Día 14.  Salieron del rosario en estado normal 9 y cuarto.  Después salieron y Conchita se puso en éxtasis junto a la fuente y Loli en su casa, así como Mari Cruz y Jacinta, dieron vueltas por el pueblo cuando se juntaban se abrazaban, se separaron, a una hora llegó Jacinta sola a la iglesia preguntando donde se encontraban, salió hasta que se encontraron.  Al principio salieron juntas y se separaron, al terminar se iban quedando cada una en su casa y al llegar al umbral de la puerta quedaban en estado normal.  Terminó cerca de las 11 y media.  Estuvieron Martín Artajo, el Padre Rodrigo y mucha gente.  Me fui a la cama a las 12.  El Padre Andreu se quedó hasta las 3, las niñas salieron de casa de Conchita, Loli, y Jacinta.  Mari Cruz se acostó, fueron hasta casa de Mari Cruz cantando el rosario y al llegar a casa de Mari Cruz parece que decían a la Virgen, “A ver, a ver, repitalo otra vez.” Y luego le cantaron lo que sigue: “Levántate Mari Cruz que viene la Virgen buena con un ramito de flores para la niña pequeña.” “Recoge las azucenas que te trae la Virgen para que seas buena, niña hermosa, niña santa, eres muy cariñosa, pero no te levantas” (en estas dos falta un verso en cada una).  Dos veces repitieron, “Mari Cruz no te levantas? Ni aunque te cante?”  El día 14 vino el Padre Andreu, estuvo con ellas casi todo el día, el 15 dijo la misa, habló al pueblo y el 16 a las 3, después de comer, se marchó.  Dicen las niñas que hablaron con el Padre muerto y que le dijeron a su hermano que hiciera sacraficios.  Yo fui a Santander el 15 por la tarde, estuve con la comisión y con Pajares, al que encontré ecuánime como siempre, no así Piñal que parecía un superdotado, me dio unos cuantos consejos y como me parecía que se sobrepasaba de su misión le contesté que haría solamente lo que me mandase el señor Obispo.  Dijo frases de las niñas que no me gustaron, como que mentían, que cuando se ponían en trance se ponían como una perra, etc.  Me leyó la de Fontaneda el diálogo que tuvieron con el Padre Andreu, decían, “Oigo una voz que no se dé quien es, ah sí! Del Padre Andreu, es tu voz, pero más fina, ah si ya hay otro señor Luís Gonzaga y ahora señor Luís Andreu.  Yo creo que Andreu era como Andrés o Andrea nombre.  Aun ahora parece que les decía que la Señora de la Fontenada estaba allí con ellas, pues primero había dicho ella que se marchaba, también le decían, tu hermano trae un impermeable que le está muy corto y preguntaron ‘Qué le decimos a tu hermano?’ Ah si, que haga sacrificios.”

            August 14th.  They left the rosary in the normal state at 9:15.  Afterwards, Conchita fell into ecstasy next to the fountain, and Loli, Mari Cruz, and Jacinta in their houses.  They went around the village and when they met each other, they linked arms and then separated.  One time, Jacinta came by herself to the church and asked where the others met.  She left until she found them.  At first they left separately and then came together, but at the end, they were all separate in their houses, and when they reached the doorways, they went back to the normal state.  It ended around 11:30.  Martín Atajo, Fr. Andreu came and was with the girls the whole day.  On the 15th, he said mass and talked to the village.  On the 16th, he left after eating.  The girls said that they spoke with the deceased priest and he told them to tell his brother to make sacrifices.  I went to Santander on the 15th during the afternoon.  I was with the Comission and with Pajares, who was the same as always.  Fr. Piñal seemed super talented.  He gave me a few pieces of advice, and when I thought he was going too far, I told him that I would only do what the Bishop instructed.  He said some things about the girls that I didn't like, for example that they lied, and that when they were in a trance they were like dogs, etc.  I read a dialogue that they had with Fr. Andreu.  It said, "I hear a voice, and I don't know who it is.  Oh yes! It is the voice of Fr.             15 de agosto.  No hubo nada.  Dijo el Padre la misa.  Habló de como tenía el público que tratar a las niñas (comentarios de la gente sobre este día dicen que acudieron el plan de juerga y borrachera mucha gente).

            August 15th.  Nothing happened.  The priest said mass.  He spoke to the people about how they should treat the girls (people commented that this was only for having a party and drinking).

            Día 16.  Viniendo de misa quedaron en éxtasis, hablaron con el Padre que murió.  Por la noche a las 10 se pusieron en éxtasis, subieron al coro, se ponían en la reja del presbiterio y saltaban abajo.  Oyeron la voz de que hacia unos días habían sabido que oirían.  Preguntaban quien era, Mari Cruz lloraba, decía, “Si no me dices quien eres me voy a casa.”  Saltaron en el coro de un banco a otro y en el altar mayor y en el de enfrente. 

            August 16th.  While coming from mass they fell into ecstasy and they spoke with the deceased priest.  During the night at 10 o'clock they fell into ecstasy, went up to the choir loft, stood next to the net, and jumped down.  They heard the voice that they had been hearing for a few days, but they didn't know who it was.  They asked who it was, and Mari Cruz cried and said, "If you don't tell me who you are, I'm going home."  They jumped in the choir loft from pew to pew and in the main altar and in front of it.

            Día 17.  Llegué a las 3.  Estaban en éxtasis Loli y Jacinta, subieron a los pinos por separado, subían y bajaban ligeras, a Loli no la podía seguir su padre, cuando yo llegué estaban en el pueblo, Jacinta de rodillas junto a la casa de Granda, Loli iban y venía hacia la iglesia, anduvo de rodillas, después estuvo Jacinta derribada unos 15 minutos seria, después llegó Loli, estuvo derribada otros minutos, cuando llegaron Loli y Jacinta se reía, duró hasta las 5, al terminar estaban como si nadie hubiese pasado.  Por la noche a las 9 después del rosario, las 4 éxtasis Loli y Jacinta y Conchita y Mari Cruz.  Vi a las 2 primeras saltar a la puerta de la iglesia de rodillas, como elevarse y dar salto de 2 metros, oyeron la voz de hace 3 días y contestaban a ella muy fuerte, rezaron la estación, el final del rosario, otra estación con oración y Credo, Salve, 3 Padre Nuestros.  Loli decía la litanía, esperando la contestación del Ora ProNobis.  A las 11 terminaron y como si nada hubiera pasado.

            August 17th.  I arrived at 3.  Loli and Jacinta were in ecstasy.  They went up to the pines separately, and went up and down easily.  Loli's father could not follow her.  When I arrived, they were in the village.  Jacinta was on her knees near Granda's house, and Loli was coming and going to and from the church.  She walked on her knees.  After that, Jacinta was prostrate for about 15 minutes, and was very serious.  Loli came later and prostrated herself for a few minutes.  When Loli came, Jacinta laughed.  It lasted until 5, and when it ended it was as though nothing had happened.  At 9 at night, after the rosary, the four girls were in ecstasy: Loli and Jacinta, Conchita and Mari Cruz.  I saw the first two jump at the door of the church on their knees.  They went up in the air, and jumped about 2 meters.  They heard the same voice that they had heard three days before, and they answered it very forcefully.  They prayed a station, the last part of the rosary, another station, the Creed, the Salve, and 3 Our Fathers.  Loli said the litany and awaited the answer of Ora Pro Nobis.  It ended at 11 and when it ended, it was as though nothing had happened.

            Día 18.  Fueron a la misa y comulgaron las 3, Mari Cruz no fue, la llevó su madre al Prado.  A las 8 fue el rosario con mucho público de fuera, a las 9 en éxtasis las 4.  Venían Conchita y Mari Cruz juntas y Loli y Jacinta, estuvieron así hasta las 11, después quedó sola Conchita, aseguran que a trozos iban en el aire, ella también lo asegura.  Desde casa de Chón hasta casa de Maximina elevada como medio metro.  Estaba Loli cenando y lavando los platos cuando de repentente salió como una flecha, comenzó una carrera extática y dicen que fue en el aire desde casa de Catalina hasta casa de Conchita; aun ahora la vi yo que venía a todo correr, los muchachos no podían seguirla, se paró en seco sin moverse, luego salió Jacinta, dio unas cuantas vueltas en éxtasis y dice que fue en el aire desde la Socarrena hasta casa  de Aniceta.  Yo oí a mucha gente que lo vio y decían impresionados que Conchita junto a su casa se elevó casi medio metro y lo mismo al pasar el puente hacia la iglesia.

            August 18th.  They went to mass, and the three girls received Communion; Mari Cruz did not go because her mother took her to the field.  We said the rosary at 8, and many people came.  At 9 o'clock the 4 girls fell into ecstasy.  Conchita and Mari Cruz came together and Loli and Jacinta were together.  They were like this until 11.  After that time, only Conchita remained.  The people assure me that little by little Conchita rose up into the air, and Conchita assures me that this happened as well.  From Chon's house to Maximina's house, Conchita was elevated about half a meter.  Loli was eating dinner and washing dishes when suddenly she left as fast as an arrow, and began an ecstatic run.  She says that she was in the air from Catalina's house to Conchita's house.  I saw her and she was in a hurry; the boys couldn't follow her.  Then she stopped all of a sudden and Jacinta went out around the village in ecstasy.  She was in the air from Socarrena's house to Aniceta's house.  I heard many people who saw this and they said that it was impressive the way Conchita rose in the air about half a meter near her house, and again to pass over the little bridge near the church.

            Día 19.  Dije misa a las 11, me encontraba mal, vinieron las niñas comulgaron Jacinta y Loli, las otras 2 creían que estaba yo en Cosío y habían ya desayunado, bajé a Cosío después de comer, se quedó allí un seminarista, después del rosario se quedaron en éxtasis las 4, rezaron dos rosarios, uno cantando por el pueblo.  También entraron en la iglesia y fueron a ratos separadas. Duró dos horas y media.  Parece que se les oyó algo de 3 mensajes para 3 años.

            August 19th.  I said mass at 11.  I was sick.  Jacinta and Loli received Communion, but the other two girls thought that I was in Cosío, so they had already eaten breakfast.  I went down to Cosío after eating, a seminarian was staying there.  After the rosary, the four girls fell into ecstasy and prayed two rosaries, one of which they sang throughout the village.  They also entered the church.  Sometimes they were together, and sometimes they were separated.  This lasted for two and a half hours.  It seems that they heard something about three messages for three years.

            Día 20.  Llegó el Padre Andreu, recé el rosario a las 7 y media, comulgaron después del rosario, éxtasis a las 9:10 hasta las 11, rezaron rosarios, cantados, estuvieron en la entrada de la iglesia derribadas casi media hora.  Hablaron de cosas pasadas en el día, salieron sobre las 11 del éxtasis, volviendo Conchita en seguida.  Dicen que estuvo hablando alemán y francés, lo dijo el padre y  un Fontaneda.  Terminó a la 1, también estuvieron así Jacinta y Loli.  Me fui a la cama a las 2.  Fueron a llamarme para que les diera la llave, pues volvió Loli al éxtasis hasta las 5 de la mañana.  Me dice el Padre Andreu que Loli habló francés, alemán, y latín con su hermano el muerto.  Él lo tenía anotado.  Anoche vio al Angel, al niño y a la Virgen del Carmen.

            August 20th.  Fr. Andreu arrived.  I said the rosary at 7:30, and they received Communion after the rosary.  They went into ecstasy from 9:10-11:00.  They prayed rosaries, sang songs, and they prostrated themselves at the entrance of the church for about half an hour.  They talked about things that had happened during the day.  They returned to the normal state at about 11, and Conchita fell back into ecstasy once again.  A priest and one of the Fontenadas said that she was speaking German and French.  It ended at 1, and Jacinta and Loli were in the same state.  I went to bed at 2.  They went to call me so that I could give them the key because Loli stayed in ecstasy until 5 o'clock in the morning.  Fr. Andreu told me that Loli spoke French, German, and Latin with his deceased brother.  He noted this.  She saw Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, the Angel, and the Infant.

            Día 21.  Dije la misa a las 9.  A las 11 el Padre.  Vinieron Loli y Jacinta sin comulgar por haber desayunado.  Comulgaron en la del Padre.  A la 1 y media salen de casa de Ceferino en éxtasis Loli y Jacinta, vienen a la iglesia, cantan la estación, el Ave María, entran salen del pie dos veces hasta terminar la estación.  Rezan Salve y Credo, se persiguan, enseñan los rosarios, saltan de rodillas desde la puerta hacia dentro, hacia el altar mayor, se levantan, se echan hacia atrás casi topando la cabeza con el suelo, una aguanta a la otra, se cae para atrás acostada Jacinta, Loli sigue de pie, Jacinta pregunta por qué no me llamaste anoche?  Se levanta, va hacia atrás hasta la puerta, sale corriendo, vuelve Loli le pone una sandalia en el altar mayor a Jacinta, regresa Loli andando y Jacinta de rodillas, a las dos, Jacinta sale del éxtasis, Loli sigue 15 minutos más y hablaba del Padre Ramón que tenía una máquina de escribir, él lo anotó, terminó a las 2 y media.  Al caer Conchita a la entrada de la iglesia cogió por el vestido a Mercedes y después al subir siguió con el vestido cogido hasta el puente, donde dijo, “La traigo cogida ah! Es Mercedes! Qué habrá dicho, Mercedes?” Y la soltó.

            August 21.  I said mass at 9 o'clock.  At 11 o'clock the other priest celebrated mass.  Loli and Jacinta came to my mass but did not receive Communion because they had already eaten breakfast.  They received Communion at the priest's mass.  At 1 o'clock Loli and Jacinta left Ceferino's house in ecstasy.  They came to the church and sang a station and the Hail Mary.  They came in and out twice before finishing the station.  They prayed the Salve and the Creed, they made the Sign of the Cross, they showed the rosaries, they went from the door to the altar on their knees, they got up, they fell backwards so that their heads were almost hitting the floor, and they supported each other.  Jacinta fell backwards, but Loli continued on foot.  Jacinta asked, "Why didn't you call me yesterday?"  She got up and went backwards until she reached the door and then left running.  Loli gave a sandal to Jacinta on the main altar.  Loli returned and Jacinta was on her knees.  Jacinta left in ecstasy.  Loli continued for another fifteen minutes; she talked about how Fr. Ramón had a writing machine, and he noted what she said.  It finished at 2:30.  Upon falling into ecstasy at the entrance of the church, Conchita grabbed Mercedes' dress.  She continued to hold onto Mercedes' dress all the way to the bridge where she said, "I've brought her by holding her! What did Mercedes say?"  Then she let go.

            Día 22, después del rosario quedaron las 4 en éxtasis cogidas del brazo anduvieron por la calle bastante rato del mismo modo, después separaron, Conchita entra en la iglesia quedándose en medio de pie, levantó un rosario y dijo, “Bésamelo bien, la cadena...” Salió y repitió la señal de la cruz.  Vuelve a entrar, dice, “Salve María, esto...” Se ríe, “Enseñame más.” Dijo palabras en francés, “Oui, oui,” y se ríe.  Entran Jacinta y Loli, se arrodillan en el vano, entran de un salto y de rodillas, oscillan y caen, dice Jacinta que se llamaba Andrés... ese es el que yo quiero que cures, al entrar en la iglesia las 4 cayeron formando una figura preciosa, en la segunda entrada cuando Jacinta se estaba santiguando volvió hacia mí los ojos dos veces consecutivas, creo que sin verme, entraron luego en la iglesia por tercera vez solo el tiempo de persignse, entran Jacinta y Loli por cuarta vez, se arrodillan en la puerta,  sentan dentro y se arrodillan ante el altar saliendo en seguida.  A las 11 salga Conchita sola y se vuelve a ir hacia atrás, a los 6 minutos hace lo mismo, se arrodilla de golpe y se vuelve a levantar, estuvo 10 minutos hace la señal de la cruz y se va.  A las 11:17 entran Loli y Jacinta.   Un padre echa agua bendita a Jacinta, ésta no se mueve.  Luego se ríe.  Loli estaba con los brazos al aire y las dos caídas, Conchita de pie en el atrio, Jacinta se levanta de pronto y Loli quedaron las 2 de rodillas.  Jacinta le dice a Loli “esperate” y en seguida las dos salieron.  A las 11, entran Jacinta y Loli, se arrodillan y caen en medio, Jacinta se sorbe los mocos, Loli quedó con una mano encima del pecho sin tocarlo, Jacinta se sonríe y se ríe a veces a carcajadas.  Loli lo más se sonríe, tumbadas hacen la señal de la cruz y se levantan luego, Jacinta vuleve a caer, y Loli queda de rodillas.  Al poco rato Loli cayó hacia adelante quedando las dos en postura muy bonita.  Jacinta hace la señal de la cruz, suspirando, acomoda la cabeza, se levanta de rodillas y después de pies.  Loli se arrodilla, Jacinta oscila de pie, Loli cae de nuevo y Jacinta sale andando, Loli queda tumbada a lo largo con los brazos levantados, se pone de rodillas oscila, se ríe, y cae de nuevo en la misma postura, con las manos enlazadas a la altura de la cintura y se ríe, se arrodilla, y asillega hasta el altar.  Cae hacia atrás, ríe, se levanta, en este momento entra Jacinta y le dice creí que todavía estabas tumbada, se cogen de la mano y salen, a las 11:49.  Al poco vuelven a entrar y se tumban ante el altar, Loli se arrodilla y quita sonriendo un pie de Jacinta que había quedado sobre su pierna, Jacinta se levanta y sale, Loli vuelve a caer con la cabeza fuera el escalón, apoyada en las manos de su padre que dijo da igual.  Se levantó y dio a besar lo que llevaba, anduvo hacia atrás y salió a las 11:57.  A las 11:59 entra Loli de nuevo, se para en medio, se santigua y sale.  Entra de prisa Jacinta, se arrodilla en medio, cae hacia adelante, se levanta enseguida se santigua y sale.  En frente de la casa de Loli, Jacinta comenzó a andar hacia la suya, hablando... cuéntame los pasos, cuantos 43? No es verdad son muchísimos, pero cuéntamelos ahora que antes eran muchos, cuántos?  Cuántos dices? Ah 100! Ahora los cuento yo, contó hasta 21, habló más pero no le pude oír, dijo más no los cuento ahora así que sean menos.  Comenzó a andar arrastrando los pies y riéndose.  A la puerta de su casa se rió y quedó repentinamente normal.  Era las 12:22.  Las otras 3 ya estaban normales.

            On August 22nd, after the rosary the four girls fell into ecstasy, linked arms and walked through the street for awhile.  Then they separated and Conchita entered the church and stayed in the middle.  She picked up a rosary and said, "Kiss the chain well."  She left and repeated the Sign of the Cross.  She entered once again and said, "Salve María, this..."  She laughed and said, "Teach me more."  She said words in French, "Oui, oui," and laughed.  Jacinta and Loli entered and jumped to their knees.  They oscillated and fell.  Jacinta said, "His name is Andrés... that is the one I want you to cure."  When the four girls entered the church, they fell, making a beautiful formation.  The second time Jacinta walked in, she blessed herself and looked at me twice without seeing me.  Then she entered the church for the third time and blessed herself.  Loli and Jacinta entered a fourth time, knelt at the door, came inside, and knelt at the altar.  At 11 o'clock, Conchita left alone, then went backwards again for 6 minutes.  She fell to her knees all of a sudden and then got up, made the sign of the cross for 10 minutes, and left.  At 11:17, Loli and Jacinta entered.  A priest threw holy water at Jacinta, but she didn't move.  Then she laughed.  Loli was standing with her arms in the air and then both arms fell.  Conchita was standing.  Jacinta stood up suddenly, and Loli stayed kneeling.  Jacinta told Loli to wait for her and then the two girls left.  At 11 o'clock Jacinta and Loli came in, knelt and fell in the middle.  Jacinta cleaned her nose, and Loli kept her hand near her chest without touching it.  Jacinta smiled and laughed.  Loli smiled the most, and she fell down making the Sign of the Cross; then she got up again.  Jacinta fell again, and Loli stayed on her knees.  After a little while, Loli fell forward and the two girls formed a very beautiful posture.  Jacinta made the Sign of the Cross while breathing deeply and inclining her head.  Then she got up, first on her knees, and then on her feet.  Loli knelt, Jacinta oscillated then fell backwards.  The two girls stood up, oscillated on their feet, then Loli fell again and Jacinta left.  Loli stayed fallen, with her arms uplifted.  She knelt and oscillated, then she laughed and fell again in the same position with her hands joined above her waist.  She laughed, knelt down, and she arrived at the altar like this.  She fell backwards, laughed, got up, and at that moment Jacinta entered and said that she thought that Loli was still fallen.  Jacinta took Loli's hand and they left at 11:49.  After a little while, they entered again and they fell before the altar.  Loli knelt and stopped smiling.  She took her foot from underneath Jacinta's.  Jacinta got up and left.  Loli fell again with her head away from the step; she was supported by her father who said that it didn't matter.  She got up and gave what she was carrying to be kissed.  She walked backwards and left at 11:57.  At 11:59 Loli entered again, stopped in the middle, blessed herself and left.  Jacinta entered in a hurry, knelt in the middle, fell forward, stood up at once, blessed herself, and left.  Loli entered again at 12:06, knelt, blessed herself, and left.  In front of Loli's house, Jacinta began to walk to her own house, saying, "Count my steps, how many? 43?  It can't be true, there are a lot, count them again, how many?             Día 23.  Conchita anduvo por todo el pueblo con las manos enlazadas en la nuca.  Casi todo el tiempo rezando el rosario con la aparición.  En una ocasión se paró y dijo, "No, que no pase eso.”  Y al lado de su casa volvió a pararse, osciló, dijo “ay” y siguió andando, al terminar el rosario se paró ante la puerta, dio a besar las medallas y despertó sonriendote. Mari Cruz no tuvo aparición, cuando yo encontré a Jacinta y Loli acababan de salir de la primera aparición.  Fueron con el Padre Andreu a buscar una cruz y cuando lo hacían quedó Jacinta en éxtasis con una linterna en la mano que costó mucho quitarle.  Cogió a Loli del vestido comenzó a reírse y andaba de un sitio a otro como jugando.  Después de forcejear soltaron a Loli que se fue a su casa.  Jacinta quedó seria, fue a la puerta de la casa de Loli quedó parada de pie, dio un beso y dijo, “Pero que vino verdad?  No más que para darme un beso?” Cae al suelo y se ríe, después se queda seria mirando hacia arriba coge unas cosas que llevaba al cuello y las da a besar en la palma de la mano vuelta hacia arriba y dice esto y comienza a desatar un rosario de las demás cosas.  Mientras los otras dice “ay” después lo deja a un lado en el suelo.  Se quita una cadena de plata con medalla y la deja al lado del rosario y dice, “Dónde está lo otro?”  Coge otro rosario que está roto y lo arregla con las manos dice dos veces “ay!” Y lo pone ante sus ojos, suspira impaciente y dice, “Pues así lo dejo, asó lo dejo.”  Y lo deja en el suelo aún roto.  Se toca el cuello y dice si yo traía otro, si yo traía otro...tantea el suelo, coge el primero y dice, “Ves este no está donde yo le puse.”  Efectivamente su madre lo había cambiado de lugar, coge de nuevo el roto para arreglarlo.

            On August 23rd, Conchita walked through the whole village with her hands joined behind her neck.  She spent almost the whole time praying the rosary with the apparition.  At one time she stopped and said, "No, don't let this happen."  She stopped again next to her house, oscillated, and said "oh"  and then she continued walking.  Upon finishing the rosary, she stopped in front of the door, gave some medals to be kissed, and awoke smiling.  Mari Cruz did not have an apparition.  When I found Jacinta and Loli, their first apparition was just ending.  They went with Fr. Andreu to find a cross.  While they were doing this, Jacinta fell into ecstasy with a lantern in her hand, which was very difficult to take from her.  Jacinta grabbed Loli's dress and began to laugh and walked from one place to another as though she was playing.  After struggling, she let Loli go, and Loli went to her house.  Jacinta became serious.  She was at the door of Loli's house when she stopped on her feet, gave a kiss and said, "But why did you come here? Just to kiss me?"  She fell to the floor and laughed.  Then she became serious and looked upward.  She took the things around her neck and gave them to be kissed with the palm of her hand open and extended upward.  She took a rosary out of the other things that she had.  Meanwhile, she put them together and said, "Oh!"  She then left it on the ground.  Jacinta took a silver medal and chain and left them next to the rosary and said, "Where is the other?"  She took another rosary that was broken and fixed it with her hands, then said "oh" twice.  Jacinta held the rosary close to her eyes, breathed heavily and said, "I'm going to leave it like that, I'm going to leave it like that."  She left it on the ground even though it was still broken.  She touched her neck and said, "I brought another one, I brought another one."  She touched the ground, took the first one and said, "Look, it isn't where I put it."  Her mother had moved it.  Jacinta picked up the broken one again and tried to fix it.

           Se ayuda con la boca y dice: esto no se puede arreglar, no, porque mira, y lo muestra, se ríe, ay me parece que se arregló, sigue intentándolo y dice: mírale y lo muestra arreglado.  Diceme luego; ves? Porque...dónde están los otros? Ah este creo que no, este no es mío.  Además que no, mira a ver si este es, muestra uno, añade: este es de cera...añade: “aproximadamente.”  No, yo no me duermo, si está aquí que se vaya a la cama...pues esta no sé como se llama, pero este rosario ya sé de quien es.  Entonces...se ríe bosteza sin abrir la boca, muestra un rosario y dice que te voy a decir que este rosario no le traía yo, calla mucho rato se pone de rodillas con los brazos cruzados se ríe mucho, hace la señal de la cruz y vuelve a cruzar los brazos.  En este momento sale Loli en rapto y se arrodilla a su lado, se cogieron de la mano y fueron hacia la iglesia.  Dice Jacinta: Loli, Loli aquí, vienes tú?  Vamos a la iglesia ahora.  Econtraste la cruz?  Se hacen la señal de la cruz en los pilotes y después avanzan hasta la puerta, Jacinta dice: “Por qué no abren la iglesia?  Por qué no la abren, quiero que la abran.” Loli no decía nada.  Jacinta hace otra vez la señal de la cruz, oscilan una antes a otra después, Jacinta se ríe, salen a al llegar a la puerta de la casa de Loli Jacinta se ríe y Loli sonríe.  A las 12:25, caen las dos ante la puerta, Loli con los brazos en el aire, las dos en posturas preciosas.  Dice Jacinta: “Dame la mano,” y intenta cogérsela a Loli dos veces, las dos ríen.  Dice Loli: “Qué? Otra vez se ríen y se ponen de rodillas.

            Al cabo de unos segundos, Jacinta repite lo mismo, se persignan, oscilan, y caen de nuevo.  Loli suspira, Jacinta ríe.  Se levantan, se ponen de rodillas, oscilan y caen otra vez en postura aún más bonita.  Ríen, hace rato que no hablan, y dice Loli:  no sé.  Se pone de rodillas, lo mismo Jacinta, caen de nuevo, vuelven de rodillas, Jacinta dice ay! Vuelven a caer, se levantan, oscilan y caen.  Loli dice: por qué? No?  Jacinta modula algo, a las 12:54 se levanta Jacinta y luego Loli, oscilan, cae Jacinta hacia adelante, apoyada con los brazos extendidos, de nuevo de rodillas junto a Loli, vuelven a oscilar y al minuto a caer.  Jacinta se mueve poco, sorbe los mocos, ríen, a Jacinta se le cierran los ojos, y a Loli se le cae una lágrima.  Son las 12:59, a pesar del frío de la noche, tienen las manos calientes.  A la 1:02 Jacinta se levanta y oscila arrodillada, a las 1:04 Loli se arrodilla con los brazos como la Milagrosa, a la 1:05 se santigua, se levantan, andan hacia atrás cogidas de la mano, esquivan una esquina muy cerca de ella, van a la iglesia, a la entrada del puente dice Loli:  venga al llegar a los pilotes se paran, se santiguan, se persignan, y siguen hasta la puerta de la iglesia.  Jacinta dice:  que abran la iglesia, contesta Loli está cerrada, añade Jacinta algo.

De vuelta de los pilotes se pararon, se santiguan como siempre y vuelve a decir Loli tirando de Jacinta:  venga, no tengas miedo.  Siguen hacia atrás, a la 1:11 llegan casa de Jacinta se paran ante la puerta, se santiguan y salen andando hacia atrás.  A la 1:12 se arrodillan ante la casa de Conchita, Jacinta se levanta de pronto, Loli después; por el camino al salir hacia la casa de Loli dice Jacinta:  Hay que gusto!  Van hacia casa de Jacinta andando para atrás y cogidas de la mano como antes.  Jacinta se toca la nariz.  Dice Jacinta que bien vamos a ver a Conchita y a Mari Cruz.  Llegan a la 1:17 se paran un momento y repiten la señal de la cruz.  Andan hacia adelante.  Llegan a la 1:19 a casa de Conchita.  Salen de allí andando hacia atrás y a la 1:21 llegan a casa de Mari Cruz, dice Loli ante la puerta:  "Lábito de gloria que lo tenemos aqui guardao."

A la 1:23 llegan a casa de Loli se van a los pocos segundos, en el camino dice Jacinta:  mañana por la mañana de seguro... a la 1:25 llegan a casa de Conchita.  Dice Loli despierta.  Se santiguan, salen hacia casa de Loli, llegan a la 1:28 se ríen.  Loli dice, "qué" y Jacinta "no sé porqué."  Y Loli "no."  Y Jacinta "sabes cuanto he estado, cinto.  Muy poquitísimo."  Y Loli "sí."  Salen hacia casa de Conchita llegan a la 1:29.  Dice Loli, "despierta niña despierta, mira que ya ameneció y la Virgen está aquí porque te quiere mucho."  El último verso no es exacto pero tenía el mismo número de sílabas que los anteriores.  A la 1:35 salen andando hacia atrás, llegan al minuto a casa de Jacinta, se santiguan y ríen.  Jacinta dio un beso, Loli otro algo mas tarde, y después se ríen las dos.  Oscilan, quedan quietas y Jacinta giró 90 grados quedando las dos en ángulo recto y mirando la puerta de la casa.  A la 1:35 se van, por el camino dice Jacinta: "enseguida, dentro de media hora." Y Loli "dentro de media hora."  Se separan un segundo y siguen hacia la casa de Loli donde llegan a la 1:37.  Jacinta se queda normal.  Loli dice, "sí," se ríe, se persigna, se santigua, gira la cabeza un poco a derecha e izquierda, da un beso, sonríe y queda normal.

              At 1:23, they arrive at Loli’s house and they leave in a few seconds.  In the road Jacinta says:  “Tomorrow morning for sure…”  At 1:25 they arrive at Conchita’s house.  Loli says, “Wake up!”  They bless themselves and they leave, going towards Loli’s house.  They arrive at 1:28 and they laugh.  Loli says, “What” and Jacinta says “I don’t know why.”  And Loli says, “No.”  Jacinta says, “You know how many I have been, five.  Very few.”  Loli says, “Yes.”  They leave and go towards Conchita’s house; they arrive at 1:29  Loli says, “Wake up, little girl, wake up.  Look, it is morning and the Virgin is here because she loves you very much.”  The last verse isn’t exact, but it had the same number of syllables as the previous ones.  At 1:35 they leave walking forward, they arrive in a moment at Jacinta’s house, bless themselves, and laugh.  Jacinta gives a kiss, Loli gives another one later, and then the two girls laugh.  They oscillate, stay still, and Jacinta turned 90 degrees and the two stayed at a straight angle looking at the door of the house.  At 1:35 they leave.  In the road Jacinta says: “Right away, within a half hour.”  And Loli says, “Within a half hour.”  They separate for a second and continue moving toward Loli’s house.  They arrive there at 1:37.  Jacinta returns to a normal state.  Loli says, “Yes,” she laughs, she makes the sign of the cross, she blesses herself, she turns her head a little to the right, then the left, she gives a kiss, smiles, and then returns to the normal state.

            Noche del 29 al 30 de agosto 1961.  Tuvo primeramente éxtasis Conchita en contra de lo que parecía haber afirmado el día anterior.  Sale fuera de la casa, tuvo visión despues Mari Cruz en la suya, las últimas fueron Jacinta y Loli.  Tuvieron dos.  Primero dentro de su casa intentando salir y segundo dentro tambien pero sin intentar salir.  El padre les habia dicho que no las dejaria salir fuera de casa, a la 1:27 entran en éxtasis en el piso de arriba de la casa de Loli, bajaron la escalera en este estado y se fueron directamente hacia la puerta, forcejean, intentan salir cosa que prohibió el padre de Loli, dice Jacinta: "te vas porque nos cierran?  Ay que pena," Y luego las dos: "Por qué te vas qué pena, qué pena!"  Se santiguan y se persignan.  Dice Loli: "dame un beso" y Jacinta: "no quieres darme un beso," ríen, dice Loli: "riéte anda, riéte un poquitín," luego dice Jacinta: "bueno, pues si te vas adiós."  Y las dos salen del éxtasis dijeron también que se iba la Virgen para que en ese espacio pidiesen a su padre que la dejase salir si la Virgen luego se lo pedía.  El se mostró inflexible diciendoles que no saldrían y que dijesen a la Virgen que las aparaciones fueran en casa.  Yo les dije que preguntasen a la aparición a quien tenían que obedecer, si a sus padres o a ella.  Jacinta dijo: no nos quería ni dar un beso, y Loli se ha enfadado.  Cuando ya habían tenido 2 llamadas para la segunda visión de esa noche, yo las propuse que rezásemos algo para esperar así a la Virgen, se pusieron muy contentas acogiendo la idea con calor, rezamos efectivamente la estación y al acabarla comenzó la visión. 

            The night of August 29^th and 30^th of 1961.  Conchita fell into ecstasy first, a contradiction of what seemed to be revealed the previous day.  She left the house.  Mari Cruz had a vision after that in her house, and the last ones to have visions were Jacinta and Loli.  They had two visions.  First inside their house and they tried to leave and the second was in the house and they did not try to leave.  The priest had told them not to leave the house.  At 1:27 they entered into ecstasy in the upper floor of Loli’s house, then descended the stairs in that state and went straight toward the door, struggled, and tried to leave, the very thing that Loli’s father had prohibited.  Jacinta said, “You are leaving because they closed the door on us? What a shame.”  And then the two said, “Why are you leaving, what a shame, what a shame!”  They blessed themselves and  made the sign of the cross.  Loli said, “Give me a kiss” and Jacinta said:  “You don’t want to give me a kiss,” she laughed, and Loli said, “Laugh, go on, laugh a little bit.”  Then Jacinta said, “Well, if you’re going then goodbye.”  And the two girls left ecstasy saying that the Virgin left so that they could ask their father permission to go outside.  He was inflexible saying that they couldn’t go outside.  He told them to ask the Virgin if the ecstasies could be in the house.  I told them to ask the apparition who they should obey, their parents or Her.  Jacinta said:  “She didn’t even want to give us a kiss.”  Loli said: “She is angry.”  When they had received 2 calls for the second vision that night, I proposed that they pray while they were waiting for the Virgin to come.  They were very happy and accepted the idea warmly.  We prayed a Station and when we finished, the vision began.

Que obedezcamos a lo que tu nos dices."  En este momento Jacinta da una beso y Loli pone su cara para recibir dos y da uno.  Luego dice "sí?" y ríen las dos.  Para aclarar la última frase diré que al acabar la visión nos digeron que la Virgen las había dicho que obedecieron a sus padres.  Loli afirma algo con la cabeza y dice después: sí, sí.  Y Jacinta "no" y se ríe.  Después dijo Loli, "hoy no fui con ella, mañana no sé si iré." Oscilan las dos, dice Loli, "Si hoy hay poca gente.  A los del pueblos los debían dejar entrar porque son del pueblo.  Jacinta: "debían entrar los del pueblo verdad?" Loli, "pero no le dejan pasar.  Jacinta se levanta.  Loli la ayuda riéndose, Jacinta se sienta de nuevo.  Dice Loli "qué?"  Jacinta oscila, Loli ríe.  Jacinta dice: "hay no te vaigas,"  Loli: "por qué, no traigo ninguna."  Se tanteaba el cuello buscando medalla, oscila, antes de entrar en éxtasis se les había pintado en un papel una cara de Fidel Castro pues decían que se lo querían enseñar a la Virgen.  Por eso dijo Jacinta: a! me pintaron a Fidel Castro! Y Loli: sí? Dónde lo tienes Jacinta?  Y Jacinta: voy a buscarlo para que lo veas, lo tengo encima de un saco.  Se levanta Jacinta.

Loli se queda sentada en la escalera de entrada al comedor, como habían estado rezando la estación allí.  Fue donde el saco, cogió el dibujo, lo mostró al revés, lo dio la vuelta y lo enseñó bien para que lo viese la aparación.  Se rieron Loli: ya vi el tuyo.  Efectivamente Loli tenia otro mas parecido que el de Jacinta de Fidel Castro.  Jacinta: pero se parece mas el tuyo.  Oscila y Loli cae hacia atrás.  Jacinta oscila y ríe.  Dice que no.  Tira el dibujo, oscila.  Loli dice si y rien las dos.  Loli:  fijate mató a todos los curas Jacinta:  y a las monjas.  Siguen a lo largo tumbadas.  Jacinta:  por qué te vas tan luego hoy también?  Loli se sienta, Jacinta repita no te vaigas tan luego.  Se sienta, oscilan y ríen.  Se santigua, persignan pronunciando en alta voz las oraciones. Dicen las dos: Ay! Se ríen y persignan de nuevo más despacio.  Jacinta ay! Dinos donde vamos.  Loli diselo.  Suspira, Loli oscila, sonríen y ríen.  Son las 3:20.  Jacinta: no porque, no sé, no te viagas.  Cae Loli con los brazos al aire y luego Jacinta.

Ríen las dos, Jacinta carraspea, dice Loli:  ahora ya no estás tan triste como antes, Jacinta: porque antes estabas triste, pero Loli va muchos días…Loli: hoy no fui.  Tengo muchísimas avellanas en casa.  Jacinta: donde está el Padre que ya no viene?  Loli: va a venir?  Jacinta: dónde estabas que hacia cuanto que no te veía?  Siguen hablando y diciéndole que su hermano se había ido y hacia mucho que no venia, que le dijese que viniese pronto.  Loli:  hemos escrito a máquina (efectivamente las dejé escribir a todas por la mañana).  Jacinta: no te vaigas.  Loli:  …te apareciste en la cama hoy…no estamos en la cama?  Jacinta:  estamos donde la estación y como no estemos…ríen las dos.  Jacinta:  ya creíamos que no venías con nosotras, donde has estado?  Habla de que sabes algo en francés.  Loli: pero adonde estás que no te veo?  Jacinta:…y no te han visto.  Loli por qué te vas tan luego?  Fijate han cerrado la puerta y todo.  Jacinta:  pero hay que obedecer verdad?  Y porqué no entrará esa gente que es del pueblo.  Loli:  No te alcanza y levanta a Jacinta para que le de un beso.  Jacinta:  ahora tocame la mano, despues levantó a Loli para que besase.  Ríen y se sientan.  Jacinta:  ay! Por que te vas tan luego?  Loli lo mismo.  Y añade no te vayas.

Jacinta:  has estado no se cuantos días sin venir, no te nayas, que pena.  Jacinta:  rezamos una estación con usted.  Loli:  de rodillas verdad?  Jacinta:  yo creo que estoy en la cama.  Loli:  vamos a rezar la estación sin que te vayas.  Jacinta:  tu reza detrás y nosotras delante.  Comienzan a rezar la estación de rodillas.  Dirige Loli y contesta Jacinta.  A las 3:10 oscila Jacinta y cae.  Bosteza.  Loli oscila, a las 3:08 Jacinta se levanta.  Loli se confunde en una oración, se corrije y sigue con una sonrisa.  Jacinta oscila.  Bostezan las dos.  Oscilan, rezan la estación, al acabarla se santiguan, se persignan, siguen de rodillas, Loli:  por qué te vas ahora?  Jacinta se sienta y dice:  por qué te vas?  Loli por qué te vas tan luego?  Sí?  Ay no!  Se me hace que todo el dia estoy tumbada.  No me canso, no.  Jacinta oscila.  Loli se arrodilla.  Jacinta:  te vas?  Loli:  no, yo no estoy cansada.  Jacinta:  por qué se fue tan luego el Padre.  Loli nada mas que rezar el…pero hay que obedecer si se quiere ir.  Me das un beso?  Jacnta:  me das un beso?  Y las dos:  ah—te vas tan luego, que pena, bueno. 

          Jacinta:  “You haven’t been here for so many days, don’t go, what a shame.”  Jacinta:  “We will pray a Station with you.”  Loli:  “On our knees, right?”  Jacinta:  “It feels like I’m in my bed.”  Loli:  “Let’s pray so you don’t go.”  Jacinta:  “We’ll pray the first part and you answer.”  They begin to pray the Station on their knees.  Loli speaks first and then Jacinta answers.  At 3:10 Jacinta oscillates and falls.  She yawns.  Loli oscillates and at 3:08 Jacinta gets up.  Loli says a prayer wrong, corrects herself, and continues with a smile.  Jacinta oscillates.  The two girls yawn.  They oscillate and  pray the Station.  Upon finishing they bless themselves, make the sign of the cross, and continue kneeling.  Loli:  “Why are you going now?”  Jacinta sits down and says, “Why are you going?”  Loli:  “Why are you going so soon? Yes?             Eran las 3:30 y Jacinta volvió del éxtasis.  Loli siguió.  Cuando Jacinta salió, Loli puso su cara para recibir dos besos.  Ella dio uno.  Se eria y oscilaba.  Luego estuvo de rodillas.  Se puso en pie y avanzó, volvió andando hacia atrás.  Cae de rodillas y así avanzaba.  Oscila, ríe, afirma de vez en cuando, avanza, retrocede, oscila, se pone de pie “me das un beso?”  estas muy arriba, un poquitin abajo, si por qué? Bajate un poquitín más, estás muy arriba, estás muy arriba.  Cuando Jacinta le propuso ayudarla para elevarse y alcanzar la aparición dijo Loli:  hace falta que puedas para conmigo, no vas a poder, no puedes, si pruebalo y verás.  Y Jacinta puedo.  Y añadió Loli:  qué alta eres Jacinta.  Qué venga el Angel.  Se santiguó y añadió no te vayas anda!  Por que te vas?  Bueno, aquí se santiguó y se despertó.  Eran las 3:06 de la madrugada.

           It was 3:30 and Jacinta returned from the ecstasy.  Loli followed.  When Jacinta left, Loli placed her face to receive two kisses.  The Virgin gave one.  They laughed and oscillated then they knelt.  Then they stood and advanced forward.  They turned and walked backwards.  She fell on her knees and advanced like that.  She oscillates, laughs, steadies herself, moves backwards, oscillates, and stands on her feet, saying, “Will you give me a kiss?  You are very high, why not come down a little bit?  Come down a little bit, you are very high, you are very high?”  When Jacinta proposed lifting her, she reached the apparition.  Loli said, “I need you to do the same with me, and I don’t think you’ll be able to; try it and we’ll see.”  Jacinta was able to lift her.  Loli added:  “You’re very tall now, Jacinta.  Now the Angel is coming.”  They bless themselves and add, “Don’t go!  Why do you have to go?”  Then she blessed herself and woke up from the trance.  It was 3:06 in the morning.                                                                                   

           Noche del 31 al 10 de septiembre de 1961.  Mari Cruz no tuvo aparición.  Conchita tuvo por la noche, ella sola.  Jacinta y Loli la tuvieron juntas en la casa de la abuela de la segunda;  además tuvieron dos en este día; una al mediodía y otra por la noche.  Como se recordará ellas pidieron a la Virgen que viniese “de dos a tres.”  A las 2:25 entraron las dos a la vez en éxtasis, despues de haber rezado una estación.  Cayeron de rodillas y oscilaron.  Jacinta ríe y cae, se levanta.  Oscila Loli Jacinta dice: eh? Oscilan las dos.  Jacinta dice: "no" y ríe, oscila.  Las dos se santiguan.  Se levantan una después de la otra.  Jacinta da un beso y Loli la ayuda.  Loli da a besar las cosas ayudada por Jacinta que la levanta.  Dice Jacinta: "que no."  Se arrodilla de pronto, lo hace después Loli del mismo modo, oscilan las dos y caen.  Con ellas, pero no en éxtasis, estaba Conchita que había ido a la casa momentos antes de comenzar.  Durante éste habló Conchita con Jacinta y Loli de pensamiento, contestando ellas dos de palabras, como ya había ocurrido otras veces.  A preguntas de Conchita dice Loli:  Sí, qué? Y rió.  Se arrodillan.  Ríe Jacinta y dice Loli:  El qué te voy a decir.  Lo va a ver Conchita?  Cuando?  Ahora aquí?  Y Jacinta:  "...y la vas a llamar?  Y Loli:  "si."  La vas a llamar o vas a venir aqui?  Y Loli:  bueno, a si iba a venir sin llamarla dijo.  Y después:  "Pues si to...tumbada, pues aquí será.  Son las 2:34 de mediodía.  Se santiguaron y persignaron. 

           The night of the 31^st to September 1^st of 1961.  Mari Cruz did not have an apparition.  Conchita had an apparition at night, alone.  Jacinta and Loli had an apparition together in Loli’s grandmother’s house.  They also had two that day; one at noon and another at night.  As you might remember, they asked the Virgin to come between “two and three.”  At 2:25 the two entered ecstasy at the same time after they had prayed a Station.  They fell to their knees and oscillated.  Jacinta laughed and fell, then they got up.  Loli oscillates, and Jacinta says, “Eh?”  The two girls oscillate.  Jacinta says “no” and laughs, oscillating.  The two girls bless themselves.  One gets up and then the other.  Jacinta gives a kiss and Loli helps her.  Loli gives the things to be kissed, helped by Jacinta who lifts her up.  Jacinta says, “No.”  She kneels down suddenly, and then Loli does the same thing.  The two girls oscillate and then fall.  Conchita was with the girls, but not in ecstasy, she had arrived at the house moments before the trance started.  During this time Conchita spoke with Jacinta and Loli through her thoughts, and the girls answered with words, the same thing that had happened before.  To Conchita’s questions Loli said, “Yes, what?”  And she laughed.  They knelt down.  Jacinta laughed and Loli says, “The one I’m going to tell you.  Conchita is going to see him?  When?  Here and now?”  And Jacinta:  “And you are going to call her?”  Loli:  “Yes.  Are you going to call her or come here?”  Loli:  “Well, she is coming without calling her.”  And then:  “Well I guess it is going to be here.”  It was 2:34 in the afternoon.  They blessed themselves and made the sign of the cross.

           A la pregunta de si estaba contenta la Virgen dijo Jacinta: Sí.  Y tose y ríen las dos.  Loli dijo:  "Estará José Antonio así (e hizo además de escribir).  Al decirla Conchita que tenía envidia de que estuviesen viendo a la Virgen y ella no, dijo Loli:  "Otras veces me da a mi de ti."  Oscilan.  Preguntó Conchita que si lo vería por la noche, y dijo Loli:  No sé.  Jacinta ríe y dice:  sí.  Loli se levanta y busca una entre las medallas, dice:  Es esta?  Es esta? Sí?  Esta?  Esta sí, y la da a besar.  Oscilan las dos.  Jacinta ríe y dice no.  Caen las dos de rodillas y de golpe.  Preguntada sobre si se lastimó al caer, dice Loli:  Con qué y al caer Jacinta de rodillas dice:  Ay! Que rodillazo.  Oscilan y Jacinta cae.  Afirma Loli ríe y oscila.  Jacinta se levanta, dice:  No.  Sí.  Dice Loli después:  No le traigo corto todavía.  Y Conchita:  cómo le trae?  Siguió después un diálogo entre Jacinta y Loli sobre la largura del vestido de Conchita para bajárselo mas aún;  la bajaron demasiado la falda y se la volvieron a subir hasta el sitio justo.  Dijo Loli:  Conchita, a ver si puedes tu pa conmigo.  Conchita la cogió y no pudo con ella.  Loli dice Ay! Que pesamos.  Y Jacinta:  Pues no estamos tan gordas.  Caen las dos de rodillas de golpe.  Loli dice:  Que trastazo noté, Y Jacinta:  Plas!  Pues tu...Jacinta oscila y Loli la sujeta diciendo:  Que te caes a lo que contesta Jacinta:  Que no me caigo.  Se ponen de pie.  Dice Loli:  "A ver si ahora...este, que ya no me acuerdo."  Y Jacinta:  A ver si me besas este rosario, que no lo besaste.  Loli cae de rodillas y al poco tiempo Jacinta.  Oscila Loli y dice Jacinta:  Mira, que te caes.  Se cae y está que no, y Loli:  quien se cae y Jacinta:  Tú.  Oscilan las dos.  Se santiguan.  Avanzan de rodillas hacia atrás.  Se santiguan y se levantan. Al decirlas que el padre de Loli no las deja salir dice Loli:  es por la gente y Jacinta:  Total nada mas al corredor verdad?  Y Loli:  "Tu quieres, ah pero no podemos."  La dijeron que su padre opinaba que si la Virgen queria, que salieran y Loli dijo:  Si, ahora si quiere.  Pero la Virgen quiere que vengan para que lo vean.

           To the question of whether the Virgin  was happy, Jacinta answered, “Yes.”  The two girls coughed and laughed.  Loli said:  “Will José Antonio be like that?”  (And she looked like she was going to write something).  Conchita said that she envied Loli for seeing the Virgin when she wasn’t and Loli said, “Other times I’m envious of you.”  They oscillate.  Conchita asked if she would see the Virgin at night and Loli said, “I don’t know.”  Jacinta laughs and says:  “Yes.”  Loli gets up and looks among the medals saying, “This one?  This one?  Yes?  This one?  This one.”  She gives the medal to be kissed.  The two girls oscillate.  Jacinta laughs and says no.  The two girls fall upon their knees suddenly.  They ask if they hurt themselves when they fell.  Loli says, “With what?”  Upon falling to her knees Jacinta says, “Oh! My knee!”  They oscillate and Jacinta falls.  Loli says “yes” and laughs, then oscillates.  Jacinta gets up and says, “No.  Yes.”  After that Loli says, “I didn’t wear it short yet.”  Conchita:  “How do you wear it?”  Following this there was a dialogue between Jacinta and Loli about the way they should dress and how Conchita should wear her clothes.  They wanted to lower Conchita’s dress.  They pulled her dress too much so they lowered it back to where it was supposed to be.  Loli said:  “Conchita, see if you can with me.”  Conchita took her arm, but couldn’t go with her.  Loli says, “Oh!  We weigh so much!”  Jacinta:  “We’re not fat.”  The two girls fall on their knees suddenly.  Loli says, “What a fall!”  And Jacinta:  “But you…”  Jacinta oscillates and Loli holds on to her saying, “Watch out you are falling!”  Jacinta answers:  “I’m not falling.”  They stand on their feet.  Loli says,  “Let’s see if now…this, I don’t remember.”  And Jacinta:  “Let’s see if you can kiss this rosary, you didn’t kiss it.”  Loli falls to her knees and Jacinta follows after a little bit of time.  Loli oscillates and Jacinta says,  “Watch, you’re falling!”  She falls.  Loli:  “Who’s falling?”  Jacinta:  “You are.”  The two girls oscillate.  They bless themselves.  They walk backwards on their knees.  They bless themselves and get up.  Upon telling them that Loli’s father won’t let them leave Loli says:  “It’s because of the people.”  Jacinta says:  “Well, we’ll stay in the hall, won’t we?”  And Loli says:  “You want to, but we can’t.”  Loli’s father said that if the Virgin really wanted them to leave, then they could leave.  Loli:  “Yes, now she wants us to, because she wants them to see us.”

           Son las 3:13 del mediodía.  Se abre la puerta del corredor (balcón).  Loli dice:  Sí, la Virgen quiere.  Y Jacinta:  Ah, pos si quiere tu papa.  Loli:  La Virgen quiere.  Se arrodillan las dos y salen andando así al corredor.  Se santiguan y se levantan.  Jacinta ríe.  Loli:  Qué quieres que volvamos atras y luego volvemos otra vez?  Y entraron de nuevo en la casa andando hacia atrás.  Loli oscila y Jacinta la sujeta.  Caen las dos de rodillas.  Oscilan.  Se santiguan y persignan.  Loli dice:  Quieres que volvamos a salir?  Se levantan las dos y salen.  Oscilan, se persignan, y se ponen de pie.  Dan a besar algunas cosas.  Dice Jacinta:  Bésalo otra vez na mas.  Y…salir como hay que obedecer… Si nos dejara Ceferino verdad?  Y Loli:  Aquí nos ve toda la gente.  Son las 3:15 de la tarde.  Se meten de nuevo dentro de la casa andando hacia atrás, lo hacen muy despacio.  Al llegar a la puerta hubieran salido a no ser porque el padre de Loli se puso en medio impidiéndolo.  Dijo Loli:  No verdad?  Claro, porque hay que obedecer.  Caen de rodillas.  Loli oscila.  Dice Jacinta:  Que rece Loli una estación.  Y Loli comienza a rezarla.  Oscilan, caen y siguen rezando.  Jacinta tose.  A las 3:03 de la tarde siguen rezando.  Loli dirige la estación y Jacinta la contesta.  Miran continuamente a lo alto a pesar de la dificil postura en que se encuentran. 

           It’s 3:13 in the afternoon.  The hall door to the terrace opens.  Loli says:  “Yes, the Virgin wants it.”  And Jacinta:  “Oh, but your father wants it.”  Loli:  “The Virgin wants it.”  The two girls kneel and walk through the hall.  They bless themselves and get up.  Jacinta laughs.  Loli:  “Do you want us to go backwards and come back?”  And then they entered the house once again, walking backwards.  Loli oscillates and Jacinta holds on to her.  The two girls fall on their knees.  They oscillate.  They bless themselves and make the sign of the cross.  Loli says:  “Do you want us to leave again?”  The two girls get up and leave.  They oscillate, they bless themselves, and then they stand up.  They give some things to be kissed.  Jacinta says:  “Kiss it again.  And…we should leave since we have to obey?  Ceferino will let us, won’t he?”  Loli:  “Here all of the people see us.”  It’s 3:15 in the afternoon.  They go inside the house again walking backwards very slowly.  Upon arriving at the door, they would have to leave, but they couldn’t because Loli’s father stood in the middle, preventing them from doing so.  Loli said, “Can we go?  Of course, because we have to obey.”  They fall on their knees.  Loli oscillates.  Jacinta says:  “Loli should say a Station.”  And Loli begins to pray it.  They oscillate, fall, and continue praying.  Jacinta coughs.  At 3:03 in the afternoon they are still praying.  Loli leads the Station and Jacinta answers.  They continuously look up high even though they are in a posture that makes looking up difficult.

           A las 3:10 acaban la estación, se persignan y se santiguan.  Jacinta repitió la señal de la cruz tres veces pero solo completa la última vez.  Loli dijo:  Te lastimo la pierna Jacinta.  Y Jacinta:  que pierna.  Y Loli:  porque te estoy hasta la puerta.  Jacinta:  Te vas?  Loli:  Por qué te vas?  Loli coge de nuevo a Conchita diciéndolo:  Bésala a Conchita otra vez.  Y Conchita tampoco sintió nada.  Dijo Jacinta:  Bésala otra vez.  Y Conchita nos dijo inmediatamente que la habia besado.  La coge de nuevo Jacinta diciéndole:  La besas ahora a lo último na mas, y efectivamente Conchita nos dijo que tambien esta vez habian sentido el beso de la Virgen.  Loli la dijo entronces cogiéndola por el brazo:  Ponte frente a la Virgen.  Y la colocó frente a ellas mirando al mismo sitio.  Y después:  Jacinta dijo:  A ver si la besas ahora aquí y aquí, y tocó en las dos mejillas.  Conchita dijo que no habia sentido nada.  Loli cogió de nuevo a Conchita y dijo:  Te pongo donde está a ver si la ves.  Y Conchita no vio nada Jacinta:  Te vas?  Loli:  Ay! Qué pena.  Jacinta:  Bueno, pues adiós.  Se santigua.  Loli:  Ay!  Por qué te vas?  La preguntó Conchita que a quien veía y la dijo que a la Virgen del Carmen.  Jacinta:  Pues a lo último la das a Conchita un beso aquí y aquí.  La levanta y Conchita dijo que no habia sentido nada.  Loli dijo:  No sé.  Y Jacinta:  Por qué no la besas?  Y Loli:  Ahora la besas.  Y no siente nada Conchita. 

           At 3:10 they finish the Station, make the sign of the cross, and bless themselves.  Jacinta repeats the sign of the cross three times, but only completes it the last time.  Loli said:  “You hurt your leg, Jacinta.”  Jacinta:  “Which leg.”  Loli:  I’m with you until the door.”  Jacinta:  “You’re going?”  Loli:  “Why are you going?”  Loli held onto Conchita again and said,  “Kiss Conchita again.”  Conchita didn’t feel anything.  Jacinta said, “Kiss her again.”  Conchita told us immediately that she had been kissed.  She held onto Jacinta once again and said:  “Kiss her again now for the last time.”  Conchita told us that she had felt the Virgin’s kiss again.  Then Loli said to her, taking her by the arm, “Put yourself in front of the Virgin.”  She moved in front of the girls, looking at the same site as them.  After, Jacinta said:  “Kiss her here and here,” and she touched her cheeks.  Conchita said that she didn’t feel anything.  Loli held on to her again and said:  “I’ll put you where she is to see if you see the Virgin.”  Conchita did not see anything.  Jacinta:  “Are you leaving?”  Loli:  “Oh!  What a shame.”  Jacinta:  “Well, goodbye.”  She blesses herself.  Loli:  “Oh!  Why are you going?”  She asked Conchita who she saw and Conchita responded that she saw Our Lady of Mount Carmel.  Jacinta:  “For the last thing, kiss Conchita here and here.”  She got up and Conchita said that she had not felt anything.  Loli said:  “I don’t know.”  And Jacinta said:  “Why don’t you kiss her?”  Loli said:  “Now kiss her.”  Conchita did not feel anything.

           La levanta de nuevo y esta vez si siente Conchita un beso.  La levanta otra vez Jacinta y no siente Conchita nada.  Loli dice:  Por qué te vas?  Jacinta:  Qué pena.  Se santiguan y persignan.  Jacinta dice:  A la tarde vuelves?  Y las dos inmediatamente y a la vez, Dicen:  Sí.  Loli dijo después:  No nos lo dice aquí ahora.  Retroceden hasta la puerta La pregunta Conchita que si pueden subir a los curas y contesta Loli:  Como quieran.  No lo se.  Todos los que quieran.  Si el Obispo no quiere, hay que obedecer.   Dice Jacinta:  Ay que pena!  Y Loli:  Por qué te vas?  Preguntaba queso el Párroco hacia bien en cerrar la iglesia.  Dijo Loli:  Lo que quiera.  Que no puede abrir sin permiso del Obispo.  Pues tiene que obedecer.  Preguntada sobre si tenía que estar con ellas el Párroco dijo:  Mejor que esté, pero como quiera.  Las dos dijeron después que esas cosas que las estábamos preguntando por medio de Conchita estaban bien porque eran cosas de la iglesia.  Preguntada sobre cuando veríamos una señal de que todo lo que pasaba era cierto, contestó Loli:  Ya nos lo dirá cuando nos la de.  Sobre si estaba bien que escribiesemos todo lo que decían y hacían.  Dijo Jacinta:  Que sí, pa que se lo enseñe (yo) por ahí y al Sr. Obispo.  Cuando se las preguntó que si el secreto que ellas sabían era el mismo que el de Fátima, dijo Jacinta que no.  Y Loli que el secreto no se podía decir.  Y Jacinta:  los secretos hay que guardarlos.  Las dijimos que había mucha gente que no creía en las apariciones.  Contestaron las dos que ya lo creerán.  Loli rió. 

           She gets up again and this time Conchita feels a kiss.  Jacinta gets up again and Conchita feels nothing.  Loli says:  “Why do you go?”  Jacinta:  “What a shame.”  They bless themselves and make the sign of the cross.  Jacinta says:  “Are you going to return in the afternoon?”  The two girls say immediately, “Yes.”  Loli says afterwards:  “You won’t tell us now?”  They move backwards to the door.  Conchita asks if the priests can come and Loli answers:  “As they wish.  I don’t know.  Everyone who wishes to come.  But if the Bishop doesn’t want it, we have to obey.”  Jacinta says:  “Oh, what a shame!”  And Loli:  “Why are you going?”  She asked her if the priest was right to close the church.  Loli said:  “They can do what they want.  They can’t open it without permission from the Bishop.  We have to obey.”  When asked whether the priest needed to be with the girls she said, “It’s better that way, but whatever he wishes.”  They both agreed that it was alright since it was a matter of religion.  They asked when they would see a sign that verified that all that had happened was true.  Loli answered:  “She will let us know when the time comes.”  They asked if it was alright to write what she said and did.  Jacinta:  “Yes, so we can show it to the Bishop.”  The people asked them if the secret was the same as the one in Fatima.  They answered, “No.”  Loli:  “We cannot tell the secret.”  Jacinta:  “We have to keep the secrets.”  We told her that there were many people who did not believe in the apparitions.  They answered that they would believe.  Loli laughed.

           Les preguntaron que como estaba la Virgen si en cuerpo o de otro modo.  Dijo:  Como va a estar sino.  Le dijeron que si estaba en forma de nube.  Dijo:  en nube?  Cómo es esta en nube?  Sigue Loli con la Virgen:  Te vas?  Jacinta:  Por qué te vas?  Cuando les preguntan por qué Virgen se les apraece dice Loli:  Ah claro!  No ves que no hay mas que una Virgen?  Luego los preguntó Conchita que cómo se llamaban los padres de la Virgen.  Y Loli dijo:  Joaquina?  Joaquín?  Jacinta:  Joaquín.  Loli:  Joaquín y Ana.  Riéndose:  Ana como la madre de Joaquina, una señora del pueblo.  Jacinta lo repitió y se rió tambien.  Comenzaron luego a lamentarse de que se fuese la aparición y a pedirle besos.  Después preguntaron si estaba allí el Angel de la Guarda y dijo Loli:  ah porque son espíritus puros y por eso.  (Debían referirse a que ellas no veian a su Angel de la Guarda).  Dijo Joaquina:  Que no tienen cuerpos como los hombres.  A continuació las dos preguntaron:  Te vas?  Jacinta preguntó a la aparición:  A quien se le va a quitar primero a Loli o a mi?  Primero se levantó Loli, despues Jacinta se persignaron, santiguaron y despertaron a la vez del éxtasis.  Eran las 4:21 de la tarde.  A las 11:45 entran en éxtasis, Loli y Jacinta en casa de esta última, comienzan dando a besar las cosas que llevaban, dejando algunas en el suelo, sonríen cuando hacen esto, Jacinta dice a esta un beso, y da a besar una cosa, después dice ahora esta, y da a besar otra.  Loli da a besar una medalla que ya había sido besada anteriormente, no dijo nada y la dejó en el suelo.

           They asked whether the Virgin was there in body or in a different manner.  She said:  “How would I be here otherwise.”  They asked whether she was in the form of a cloud.  She said:  “In a cloud?  How is it to be in a cloud?”  Loli continued talking to the Virgin:  “You’re going?”  Jacinta:  “Why are you going?”  It seemed as if the Virgin answered.  Loli:  “Of course, don’t you see there is only one Virgin?”  Then Conchita asked what the names of the Virgin’s parents were.  And Loli said:  “Jochama?  Joachim?”  Jacinta:  “Joachim.”  Loli:  “Jocham and Anne.”  Laughing, they said, “Anne, like the mother of Jochama, a woman in the town.”  Jacinta repeated it and laughed as well.  Then they began to lament that the apparition was leaving and asked for kisses.  After they asked if the Guardian Angel was there.  Loli said:  “Ah, they are pure spirits, that’s why.”  (They must have been referring to why they could not see their Guardian Angel).  Jochama said:  “Angels do not have bodies like men.”  When they continued the two girls said:  “You’re going?”  Jacinta asked the apparition:  “Who are you going to leave first, Loli or me?”  Loli got up first, then Jacinta.  They made the sign of the cross, blessed themselves and woke up from the ecstasy at the same time.  It was 4:21 in the morning.  At 11:45 Loli and Jacinta  entered into ecstasy in Jacinta’s house.  They began to give the things that they brought to be kissed, leaving some on the floor.  They smiled when they did this.  Jacinta said:  “A kiss for this one,” and gave something to be kissed.  After she said, “Now this one,” and gave another one to be kissed.  Loli gave a medal to be kissed that had already been kissed before.  She didn’t say anything and left it on the floor.  

           Jacinta oscila y dice “no” Loli da a besar todos los rosarios, después dice, voy a dartelos uno por uno, a veces se le cayeron algunos, dijo Jacinta ay.  Todo se le cae a Loli.  Siguen dando a besar las cosas.  Loli dice, todas se me caen.  Ay cómo están?  Va dándoselos a besar.  Tardó mucho menos tiempo en desenredarlos que una persona normal.  Después dice Loli, yo esto no lo tenía, y Jacinta, espera, y Loli cogiendo de nuevo la cadena que antes había sido besada, esto ya lo besaste, y cogiendo otra dijo:  Ah esta es de esa que está mala.  Dijo Jacinta:  cada vez estas mas alta, estas muy alta y dijo Loli:  lo que traes…ah pero yo no sé donde está, (busca entre las personas aquí presentes y tanteas) un bolso de la persona a la que pertenecía la cadena y se la mete en el.  Todo esto consultando con la aparición, Jacinta oscila, Loli cogiendo otra cosa dice:  ah esto me faltaba y siguen las dos, dando cosas a besar, siguen de pie y oscilando, caen de rodillas y oscilan mucho.  Loli se apoya en mi una de las veces y casi se cae, cae Jacinta y Loli le dice:  Te caes?

           Son las 11:28.  Siguen oscilando y Jacinta cae.  Loli le dice Te caiste…y la levanta.  Jacinta dice:  porque te vas?  Porque estuviste con nosotras por la mañana?  Jacinta se santigua y se levanta, luego lo hace Loli, oscilan, Jacinta dice:  te caes, te caes.  Loli:  no me caigo.  Siguen oscilando, primero Loli y luego Jacinta ríen Loli se pone de rodillas haciandolo después Jacinta, oscilan se santiguan.  Jacinta dice:  Porque te vas?  Loli:  Que pena porque te vas?  Porque estuviste mas por la mañana?  Vuelve mañana…Son las 11:32.  Caen Jacinta dice:  pues a Loli la está más…te lastimó Loli?  Y Loli dice:  no…en donde y Jacinta dice, por las piernas…riendose las dos.  Luego Jacinta:  pero hay que obedecer verdad?  Porque ya estara Jose Antonio escribiendo eh?  Despues preguntaron si era pecado el ver el cine o las fotos que habian visto por la tarde.  Dijo Loli:  es pecado no?  Se santiguan y persignan a medias, Loli dice:  porque te vas tan luego hoy?  Jacinta dice:  a quien se le va a quitar primero? A mi?  A Loli?  A las dos?  Es que no dejan…Loli:  aquí en el corredor y las dos dijeron que es:  que no dejaban:…Se santiguan y persignan.  Dijo Jacinta:  a quién primero se le quita?  Loli:  a las dos a la vez verdad?  Claro… y mañana vuelves…se santiguan y persignan.  Son las 11:37 y Jacinta despierta de éxtasis Loli dijo: eh? Si? Porque, que iba a decir Jacinta?  Dame un beso.  Pone la cara para recibir un beso y ella da dos.

Se santigua y persigna.  Acto seguido despertó del éxtasis, eran las 11:38 y en cuanto despertó Jacinta dijo: …y habia dicho, que a las dos a la vez.  Conchita salió de su casa en éxtasis a las 10:42 y anduvo y corrió por el pueblo hasta 11:05 en que llegó a la Iglesia.  Estuvo parada ante la puerta y andando de rodillas hacia atrás, llegó hasta los pilotes y volvió a la puerta.  Dio a besar las cosas que llevaba.  Cinco minutos después se sentó en el suelo y así avanzó unos 3 metros, no se le levantaron las faldas en absoluto.  Despues se tumbó y avanzó así hasta cerca del puente, sin que sus vestidos tomaran forma indecorosa, a la entrada del puente se paró largo rato modulando algo que bien podia ser una oración, lo mismo hizo durante casi todo el tiempo que estuvo en éxtasis.  A las 11:23 volvió a la puerta de la Iglesia, se paró, santiguó y salió de nuevo hacia atrás yendo a su casa.  Eran sobre las 11:27.

           She blesses herself and makes the sign of the cross.  Loli awoke from the ecstasy; it was 11:38.  When she awoke Jacinta said:  “…and she said both of us would awake at once.”  Conchita left her house in ecstasy at 10:42.  She walked and ran through the village until 11:05, when she arrived at the Church.  She stopped before the door and walked backwards on her knees until she arrived at the pines, and then she returned to the door.  She gave the things she had brought to be kissed.  Five minutes later she sat down on the floor and advanced 3 meters like that.  Her skirt did not rise at all.  After that she fell and advanced like that until she reached near the bridge, without her dress being immodest.  At the entrance of the bridge she stopped for a long time, whispering something that could have been a prayer; she also did this almost the entire time she was in ecstasy.  At 11:23 she returned to the door of the Church, she stopped, blessed herself, and left again, walking backwards towards her house.  It was about 11:27.

Día 3 de septiembre 1961.  A las 10 de la noche, aparece en casa de Conchita, Jacinta que habia tenido la aparición a las 9:30, llama a Conchita y sale corriendo.  Conchita se queda ríendo y entra en la cocina, donde hay aparte de los familiares, 4 personas que solo son amigos, entre ellas 3 niñas de 10, 7, y 4 años.  Conchita empieza a jugar con el pelo muy largo de mayor y dice:  que lástima de mis trenzas, mi hermano me ha reñido…y queda en éxtasis.  A las lo coge a Marta por el cuello y sale corriendo después de santiguarse.  Sale a la puerta y los padres de Marta, intentan recatar a la asustada niña, con grandes esfuerzos, logran hacerlo.  Se ríe Conchita y sale corriendo hacia la Iglesia, al llegar cae de rodillas y se le esta dirigiendose a la puerta y con la cara pegada a la puerta dice:  Señora que llevo de malo?  Instantaneamente a las 10:08 se despierta y dice:  Ah si llevo una pulsera…salió corriendo para su casa y dejó la pulsera, vuelve a la Iglesia a las 10:11 y dice en el atrio de pie:  Marta ha venido conmigo pero me la han quitados…Loli no salió hasta tarde ayer.  Sale de la Iglesia y corre por las calles, a las 10:14.  Se para en una calleja abre los brazos en cruz y dice:  Que le pasa a Jacinta?  En este momento Jacinta, cruzaba en sentido contrario, o sea en dirección a la Iglesia (Conchita no habia visto a Jacinta antes de decir esa frase). 

           September 3, 1961.  At 10 o’clock at night, the Virgin appeared in Conchita’s house.  Jacinta had had an apparition at 9:30.  She called Conchita and left running.  Conchita laughed and goes into the kitchen, where besides her family, there were 4 people who were friends.  Among them there were 3 little girls:  10, 7, and 4 years old.  Conchita began to play with the long hair of the oldest.  She said:  “It’s a shame about my braids…my brother has scolded me…”  And then she fell into ecstasy.  She presses Marta on the neck and leaves running after blessing herself.  She leaves through the door, and Marta’s parents try to calm the frightened girl.  With great difficulty, she calms down.  Conchita laughs and leaves running toward the Church.  Upon arriving, she falls to her knees facing the door and with her face on the door she says:  “Lady, what have I done wrong?”  At 10:08 she awakes instantly and says:  “Oh, yes, I’m wearing a bracelet…”  She leaves running toward her house to leave the bracelet there.  She returns to the Church at 10:11, stands in the atrium and says:  “Marta was coming with me, but they wouldn’t let her.”  Loli didn’t leave until the afternoon yesterday.  She leaves the Church and runs through the streets at 10:14.  She stops in a street and opens her arms into a cross and says:  “What happened to Jacinta?”  At that moment Jacinta was crossing in the other direction, to the Church (Conchita had not seen Jacinta when she said this).

Quedandose parada dijo:  Hay algún cura de país?  Y luego se puso a cantar la Salve y empezó a andar hacia la Iglesia (10:30).  Da la vuelta después de persignarse y sale corriendo muy rápida por todo el pueblo, mientras Jacinta y Loli se dirigen a la Iglesia.  Se junta a las 11:20 las tres, en el atrio y giran sentadas dirigiendo en esa posición hacia el atrio, y a las 11:23 salen las tres corriendo.  Continuan corriendo y tumbandose delante de la cantina, sin poder aprecian nada de lo que decian.  A las 12, Jacinta canta el rosario (A. Marías) y otras dos le contestan en medio de la calle.  Van a la puerta de la Iglesia las 3 y se quedan de pie en el atrio, cantando Jacinta las Ave Marías y contestan las otras.  Se giran y salen de la Iglesia cantando.  A las 12:20 llegan a la Iglesia Conchita y Loli, continuan el rosario, estan lo segundos y se vuelven al pueblo a correr.  A las 12:25 vuelven a la Iglesia, se quedan en la puerta y sin rezar se vuelven andando hacia atrás.  A las 12:25 vuelve al atrio, abre los brazos y se vuelve.  12:37 se juntan en la calle Loli y Conchita, 12:45 llegan las 2 delante de la puerta de la Iglesia y se vuelve a correr por el pueblo.  Continuan las carreras hasta la 1:08.  Conchita dice delante de la Iglesia, no se, si, se ríen…en donde?  A mi. Bueno?  Se ríe.  No ríen…porqué?  Tumbase en el suelo a la 1:12.

           A la 1:14 dice:  Si, llega Jacinta (llega en este momento Jacinta y tambien llega Loli).  Jacinta dice:  Qué?…Loli ríe…Jacinta dice no.  Loli dice no sabe…se persignan.  Jacinta intenta no estornudar.  Ríe, Jacinta.  Loli dice:  No sé.  Las dos:  Conchita dice que, siese ríe?…Dice Jacinta:  Se ha Conchita se le quitara y quedaré yo aquí…no sé…ríe.   Llega Loli y se cae y se tapa la falda.  Sale corriendo en dirección a la cantina.  Se le cae una zapatilla a Loli y se la pone su padre.  Salen corriendo por el pueblo las tres.  Conchita se va a su casa y queda normal.  Las otras dos van hacia la puerta de la Iglesia y dice Jacinta:  A Conchita se le fue…Loli se queda arrodillada delante del muro de la Iglesia.  A partir de las dos menos 5 hora en que quedó fuera de éxtasis Conchita—esta sigue a las dos durante minutos, riendose y hablando con las otras dos.  Dice Conchita a su hermano que ya no tendrá mas visiones, pero a los 45 minutos siguiendo a Jacinta Loli por todo el pueblo, queda otra vez en éxtasis y van a la Iglesia las a las 2:50 horas.  Conchita llora arrodillada y luego se tumba.  Gesticulan las 3 sin que se oiga nada.  Dice Conchita…Madre…te amo…Ay Dios…eres muy buena…ríe.  Jacinta tiene cara de sueño y solo suspira cada minuto.

           Se levantan a las 3:05, se sientan y se arrastran hacia adelante, sin que se les levantan las faldas.  Ellas tienen siempre en este momento, el sentido del pudor y se bajan las faldas aunque no hace falta.  Jacinta pierde el jersey y se levanta y sale corriendo, vuelven a la Iglesia, al cabo de 11 minutos, se arrodillan y Conchita dice:  No sé…Jacinta está tumbada…Yo estoy ahincá…ella se tumbó…casi me la piso.  Ríe, se arrodilla y se vuelven de cara a la puerta de la Iglesia.  Vuelven a caer las tres y Conchita dice:  Que bonito es el milagro…Cuanto me gustaría que lo hicieras pro.  Por qué lo haces?  Hazlo solo para los que creen…a los que no creen lo es igual…Jacinta duerme pero se mueve y suspira.  Empiezan a gesticular le digo a Conchita que hable mas alta y que soy el padre de Marta, a las 3.  Inmediatamente cierra la boca.  Salen y vuelven a entrar en el atrio a las 3:45.  Jacinta cantó con los ojos cerrados.  Dice Conchita:  Madre pa invierno están muy solicitadas.  Siguen riendo toda la parte del éxtasis, en el que continuan:  dan a besar medallas y rosarios, y dicen en todas:  Ay Madre, bésalos… Ríe Conchita, Jacinta parece dormida.  Salen y vuelven enseguido la Iglesia y luego de arrodillarse delante de la puerta, vuelven de rodillas para atrás y se santiguan.  A las 3:55 tose mucho Jacinta y Conchita dice Santo Dios, Madre de Dios…y se santiguan todas.  Continuan echadas y las se tumban estando a las 4:15 hora en que se van las 3 a casa de Jacinta.  Luego Conchita y Loli van a casa de Loli, se juntan con Jacinta y vuelven la Iglesia donde se tumban otra vez y dice Conchita:  Cuántas horas están.  Espera un poco más. 

           They get up at 3:05, they sit down and they drag themselves forward without their dresses lifting up.  They are always very conscious in these moments and feel very modest.  They try to put their skirts down even though they look fine.  Jacinta loses her sweater and gets up, running.  She goes to the Church and after 11 minutes she kneels down.  Conchita says:  “I don’t know…Jacinta is lying down…I’m kneeling…she fell and is lying down…I almost step on her.”  She laughs, kneels down, and then turns to face the door of the Church.  The three girls fall again and Conchita says:  “The miracle is so beautiful!  I wish you could do it soon…why won’t you do it?  Do it for those that believe…it doesn’t matter for those who don’t believe.”  Jacinta falls asleep but she moves and breathes.  At 3 they began to move their lips.  I told Conchita to speak louder and that I was Marta’s father.  They immediately closed their mouths.  They left and entered the atrium once again at 3:45.  Jacinta sang with her eyes closed.  Conchita says:  “Mother, you are very busy in the winter.”  They laughed continuously while in ecstasy.  They give the medals and rosaries to be kissed and they said:  “Oh, Mother, kiss them…”  Conchita laughed and Jacinta seemed to be sleeping.  They left and then returned to the Church right away.  Later, they knelt down near the door, they returned to their knees, walked backwards and blessed themselves.  At 3:55 Jacinta coughed a lot and Conchita says:  “Holy God, Mother of God…”  They made the sign of the cross.  They stayed lying down on the floor until 4:15 when the three girls went to Jacinta’s house.  Then Conchita and Loli went to Loli’s house, and they met Jacinta and returned to the Church where they lay down again.  Conchita says:  “How long should we wait?  Just a little while longer.”

           Se levantan y dan dos vueltas alrededor de la Iglesia.  Se tumban en la puerta y ríen las 3.  Dice Conchita:  solo hasta las 3 (era las 4:30 o las 3:30) añade Conchita.  Es pronto no te vayas, sigue ella.  A las 3 había dicho Conchita en la puerta de la Iglesia…Amen, amen, adiós, adiós, más a tu lado…Después de las 4:30 quedaron tumbadas en el atrio sin que pudiera oírse nada.  Unicamente parece que Conchita daba besos y Loli se reía.  Jacinta estuvo tosiendo cada minuto y seguidamente a las empezaron a recorrer el pueblo otra vez, parandose en casa de cada una de ellas.  En casa de Jacinta se quedaba ella y se iban las otras 2 pero inmediatamente salía para atrás Jacinta y se encontraba con las otras 2.  Esto lo repitieron hasta las 6:30 hora en que empezaron a reírse las 3 a carcajadas, andando por delante de la casa de cada uno de ellas.  Terminaron la aparición a las 6:45 delante de la casa de Conchita, donde entraron las 3 y dijeron que no querían irse a dormir.  Cosa que no hicieron hasta que respetivos padres les obligaron, pero cada una en su casa estuvo despiertas las 8 horas.  Loli dijo que ella había estado durmiendo y comiendo.

           Día 5-9-61.  Subieron las 4 niñas a los Pinos, estuvieron en éxtasis unos 10 minutos, dicen que vieron a la Virgen, después bajaron en estado natural hasta el pueblo, pero muy rápidas y llegaron a la Iglesia; como siempre cierro al anochecer y de día está abierta, entraron en la Iglesia y se quedaron en éxtasis, derribadas junto a la pila de agua bendita, cuando llegaron mandé salir al público y quedaron solas las niñas y sus padres y les di no sabiendo sin me oían:  De orden del Sr. Obispo, tenéis que salir.  A 1 o 2 minutos de decirselo, salieron del éxtasis dentro de la Iglesia, les pregunté como habían entrado y me contestaron que les había mandado la Virgen.  Duró unos 15 minutos.  M. Cruz no estuvo en él, ni en los pinos ni en la Iglesia, ya hace 5 días que no vé nada.  A las 5 de la tarde se pusieron en éxtasis Jacinta y Loli, nos hicieron la señal de la cruz a todos los que estábamos allí en la frente, después salieron con un crucifijo, pequeño y fueron casa por casa dándole a besar a todos, y al público que había.  Terminó a las 6.

           Día 7-9-61.  Salió Loli en éxtasis de su casa a las 9:15 de la noche, fue a la casa de Conchita y salió del éxtasis a las 10.  Después estuvieron Conchita y Loli en casa de esta hasta las 11, y a esa hora se pusieron en éxtasis las 2 y estuvieron junto a la casa de Loli, sentadas andando en este esta un pequeño trayecto, luego fueron por el pueblo, casi como la noche anterior, cantando el rosario y dando a besar el crucifijo.  Después de salir del éxtasis dijo, Conchita a su madre:  Mañana vamos a la Salud, a Puentenansa y la madre contestó que no.  Que después de pasar toda la noche así, sobre todo a Puentenansa, que si fuera a la Luz, a Potes, y qué Quién lo había dicho?  Conchita contestó que la Virgen y no habló más.  Se puso muy triste, estando en esta conversación, madre e hija, volvieron al estado en éxtasis Conchita y Loli y estuvieron muy serias, y dicen que las dijo la Virgen:  Si vuestros padres no quiern, tenéis que obedecer.  Jacinta está en éxtasis media hora en la cama.  A las 11.  M. Cruz no vio nada.

           10-9-61. De casa de Ceferino sale Loli a las 8:15 con Jacinta en éxtasis y a las 8:30 termina Jacinta y queda Loli sola, haciendo genuflexiones sosteniendose solo con la puntita de los pies, fue a casa de Conchita alli salió del éxtasis, yo llegue con retraso y le preguntaban si las apariciones seria de día o de noche y dijo que cuando la llamasen.  Preguntaba si iba a volver el padre Andreu y no quiso contestar.  Estuvo derribada y luego se puso de pie y volvió a ponerse de rodillas, eran las 9, y seguio sola en éxtasis.  Loli le preguntó hoy a la visión que porque no la ve?  A las 9:10 tuvo hasta las 9:30 éxtasis Conchita en su casa. 

           September 10, 1961.  Loli and Jacinta  left Ceferino’s house in ecstasy at 8:15.  At 8:30 Jacinta leaves ecstasy and Loli remains alone, genuflecting and standing on her toes.  She went to Conchita’s house where she left the ecstasy.  I was late and I asked them if the apparitions would be during the day or at night.  She responded that they would have an ecstasy when they were called.  I asked if Fr. Andreu was going to return and she didn’t want to answer.  They fell down but later they stood on their feet and then knelt.  It was 9, and she remained in ecstasy alone.  Loli asked the vision why she couldn’t see her.  Conchita had an ecstasy in her house from 9:10 to 9:30.

           Vuelven al cabo de un rato y juegan Conchita y Loli con el vaso de agua.  Después van a casa y cogen los crucifijos siempre en ese estado, dieron a besar a casi todos y fueron por las casas, dicen que cuando yo iba a besar el crucifijo, la Virgen decía:  Ahora va a besar D. Valentín…y las niñas se reían…lo mismo decían de Aniceta, Marcelo, Ceferino, Cleta, M. Cruz, todos son hermanos y padres.  A una hora Conchita que estaba derribada, se levantó de pies y cabeza, talmente parecía que flotaba en el aire.  Esto lo vieron, Maruja Gutierre, Rosario Vesgra, Pili Recio (de Solares).  A las 3:20 se puso en éxtasis M. Cruz que hacía lo días que no veía nada y hace 8 días, la estaba anunciando las otras que la vería el lunes, y dijeron que Conchita no tendría aparición hasta el lunes en cambio.  Yo oí decir a Loli…A las 10, si a las 12 ya es lunes…(ves como si preguntasen porque M. Cruz no comenzaba a ver a las 12) y luego decían…Ah!  A la una?  Fueron a los pinos, Conchita y Jacinta y al bajar, se quedó extasiada M. Cruz y dijo:  Ay!  Con alegria fue a la Iglesia, se santiguó y estuvo hablando que Conchita no la volviera a ver hasta el lunes; luego marchó a casa y se le quitó en la puerta, eran las 3.

           They came out of the ecstasy after a little while and Conchita and Loli played with a glass of water.  After this they went to their house and take the crucifixes, still in this state.  They gave the crucifix to kiss to almost everyone.  They went from house to house.  They say that when I was going to kiss the crucifix the Virgin said:  “Now Fr. Valentin is going to kiss it…”  The girls laughed…they said the same thing of Aniceta, Marcelo, Ceferino, Cleta, Mari Cruz, and all of their brothers, sisters, and parents.  One time when Conchita was in ecstasy it looked like she was floating in the air.  Maruja Gutierre, Rosario Vesgra, and Pili Recio de Solares saw this.  At 3:20 Mari Cruz fell into ecstasy.  It had been 10 days since she’d seen anything.  8 days before this she’d said that it had been announced that the other girls would see the vision on Monday.  They said that Conchita wouldn’t have an apparition until Monday.  I heard her say to Loli:  “At 10, at 12…it is already Monday.”  (It seemed as if they were asking why Mari Cruz couldn’t see it at 12).  Then they said:  “Oh!  At one?”  Conchita and Jacinta went to the Pines.  When they came down Mari Cruz was in ecstasy.  Mari Cruz said:  “Oh!”  She went to the Church happily, blessed herself, and spoke with Conchita about how she would not see it again until Monday.  Then she went to her house and she fell out of ecstasy at the door.  It was 3.

           Después se quedó en éxtasis Jacinta y estuvo acostada y de rodillas, hablando con Loli se le quitó a las 4:15.  Después se extasió Loli, y fue a la casa de Conchita, acostandose en la cama de Conchita, que estaba acostada habló un poco con ella y se le quitó a las 4. 

           After that Jacinta stayed in ecstasy.  She was in bed on her knees, talking to Loli.  She came out of the ecstasy at 4:15.  After, Loli had an ecstasy and went to Conchita’s house, where she got into Conchita’s bed.  She talked for awhile and came out of the ecstasy at 4.

           Día 11-9-61.  Comenzó a la 1 por el pueblo.  Llegó Loli a las 3:30.  Mari Cruz dio a besar el crucifijo y le dice a la visión que estuvo 10 días sin verla, y que Conchita la había visto 10 minutos.  Dice que ve a la Virgen del Carmen y Loli también, se lo preguntó Conchita.  Le preguntaron sin la verian a la noche y dijo que si, se levanta a las 3:30.  Cuando llegue, dijo ella:  Aquí está D. Valentín, no decían que se iba a Santander?  (Ella no me podía ver pues estaba en ese estado este me lo dijo a M. Cruz)  se persigna, dice el Señor mío Jesucristo, un Padre Nuestro y una estación.  (Yo había dicho efectivamente que me iba a Santander y bajé hasta Cosío, pero no más).

           September 9, 1961.  It began at 1 throughout the village.  Loli arrived at 3:30.  Mari Cruz gave the crucifix to be kissed and she told the vision that it had been 10 days since she’d seen the Virgin.  Conchita saw her for 10 minutes.  She said that she saw Our Lady of Mount Carmel and that Loli saw her as well.  They asked Conchita if they would see the Virgin that night, and she said yes.  She got up at 3:30.  When I arrived, Conchita said:  “Here is Fr. Valentín, didn’t you say that he had gone to Santander?”  (Mari Cruz told me that Conchita couldn’t see me while she was in this state).  She made the sign of the cross, said “My Lord Jesus Christ,” an Our Father and a Station.  (I had said that I was going to Santander, but I only went to Cosío).

           A las 4 entra Jacinta en éxtasis, y cuando yo entré en casa de Ceferino dice Jacinta:  Ya está D. Valentín con la libreta, luego al rato, me co por la sotana y me seguía riendose a un sitio y a otro, vino luego corriendo y me hizo la señal de la cruz junto a casa de Elena.  Llegó a la Iglesia, que yo tenía cerrada pero sin llave, empujó y entró en ella y los padres y yo le preguntamos porque entraba, si el Sr. Obispo no querían que entrase, y al decirle eso se levantó y salió.  A Jacinta se le quitó a las 5:20 en casa de Conchita, y comenzó Loli a la misma hora allí misma y vino a su casa y hacia la Iglesia.  M. Cruz también este día, dio a besar el crucifijo a todos y cuando iba hacia la Iglesia dijo:  Ay que se me olvidaba, y volvió a casa y cogió el crucifijo.  Terminó a las 5:20.  A las 11 salieron otra vez en éxtasis y lo dijo (can’t see the writing) que no están conformes fuesen de noche, dijo Jacinta: que ella lo manda así.  Subieron a los pinos y bajaron de prisa, después estuvieron por las calles y luego en casa de Conchita dos horas allí y rezaron el rosario, llamaron a personas por su nombre, Carmen y a Margarita, y aunque no subió dicen que dijo la Virgen que si hay una Margarita.  (Dicen que había un dominico vestido de paisano y Jacinta dijo que había un sacerdote, cuando yo subí, dijeron:  ahora hay dos, D. Valentín es uno y después cuando se marchó el dominco, dijeron:  ya queda más que D. Valentín.  Al marcharse el dominco dijo a Simón y Celia que lo era en efecto.

           At 4 Jacinta entered into ecstasy.  And when I entered into Ceferino’s house Jacinta said:  “Fr. Valentín is here with his notebook.”  After a little while, she grabbed me by the cassock and laughingly took me from place to place.  She made the sign of the cross over me next to Elena’s house.  She arrived at the Church.  I had closed it, but not locked it.  She pushed the door and entered the Church.  I asked the priests why she went into the Church since the Bishop didn’t want them to go into the Church.  Upon saying this, she stood up and left.  Jacinta fell out of ecstasy at 5:20 in Conchita’s house.  Loli fell into ecstasy at the same time and she left her house and went toward the Church.  Mari Cruz also had an ecstasy that day; she gave the crucifix to be kissed and when she went to the Church she said:  “Oh, I forgot,” then she returned to the house and got the crucifix.  It ended at 5:20.  At 11 they left again in ecstasy and I told her that the theologians said that they weren’t happy.  They went to the Pines and when they came down it was night.  Jacinta said:  “She ordered us like that.”  They went up to the Pines and they came down rapidly.  After, they went through the street.  Then they went to Conchita’s house and spent two hours there praying the rosary.  They called people by their names:  Carmen and Margarita.  Although she didn’t go up, the Virgin said that there was a Margarita.  (They said that there was a Dominican dressed like a layman).  Jacinta said that there was a priest.  When I went up, they said:  “Now there are two.  Fr. Valentín is one,” and when the Dominican left they said:  “Now it is only Fr. Valentín.”  When the Dominican left she told Simon and Celia that he was a Dominican.

           Día 12-9-61.  Salió de su casa Jacinta en éxtasis a las 3:15 de la tarde volvió a buscar el crucifijo, y lo dio a besar al público, ha estado dando vueltas por el pueblo y da la sensación que ve (esto no lo pone D. Valentín si no un escrito a máquina del mismo  día).  Explican que es porque miraba a una parte y a otra, fue a casa de Clementina y fue nombrado cuadro por cuadro, El Nazareno, La Dolorosa, San Antonio, la Virgen del Carmen, etc., etc.  Luego se pone Loli en su casa a las 4:20 baja las escaleras y le dice al padre que la deje bajar a la calle, sube, baja sentada y anda de rodillas y vuelve a subir (El me ha dicho que por la mañana dijo que no la dejaba salir).  Termina a las 4:15.  Vuelve a ponerse a las 6 en su casa, está ecada, sigue luego de rodillas, a un señor que ya vino más veces, se acerca el público dice que el Balduino.  Duró 10 minutos.  Jacinta va casa de Emilia, me volvió a encontrar por la calle y me santiguó y se reía; a las 6:20, hace una cruz en los coches, reza el rosario, cuando llega a la puerta de la Iglesia, le preguntan si quiere entrar y dice que no deja el Sr. Obispo. 

           September 12, 1961.  Jacinta left her house in ecstasy at 3:15 in the afternoon.  She returned to look for the crucifix and then she gave it to the people to kiss.  She was making circles through the town and it seemed (this is what Fr. Valentín wrote on his machine that same day) they explained that it was because they looked from one place to the other.  She went to Clementina’s house, and after the Cuadro named:  the Nazerene, the Sorrowful Mother, St. Anthony, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, etc., etc.  Then Loli was in ecstasy in her house and at 4:20 she came down the stairs and asked the priest if she could go to the street.  She went upstairs, she came down and walked on her knees, and then goes back upstairs again.  (She told me in the morning that he would not let her leave).  It ended at 4:15.  Again at 6, she’s in ecstasy in her house.  She’s on her knees, and then a man who says his name is Balduino gets near her.  It lasted 10 minutes.  Jacinta went to Emilia’s house.  She found me along the way and blessed me and laughed.  At 6:20, she makes a cross on the cars, prays the rosary.  When she arrives at the door of the Church they asked her if she wanted to enter and she said that the Bishop didn’t permit it.

           Se fueron hacia Jaraiz.  Conchita y Loli en éxtasis, como a un kilómetro al pueblo, le dijo su madre a Conchita por medio de Jacinta, que tenían que volverse, pues yo aquí (dijo) no obedezco a la Virgen.  Comenzaron entonces a llorar tanto las que iban en éxtasis como las que estaban normales y del éxtasis dijeron:  Ay! Virgen zucaya no te vamos a volver a ver!!…y entonces Aniceta las dijo por medio de Jacinta:  que si, que obedecía a la Virgen y que fuesen donde quisiera la Virgen, y fueron unos 100 metros más adelante.  Y volvieron rezando el rosario.  Yo les pregunté como ellas habían oído a Aniceta, y ellas dijeron que se lo había dicho la Virgen y que lo había hecho para probar a los padres.  (Como todas estas cosas las suelen decir los padres delante de las hijas cuando están naturales puede ser que lo repitan ellas después).  Llegaron a casa y después estuvieron hasta las 4 de la mañana, entrando y saliendo del éxtasis con intervalos pequeños.  Esta noche se vio claramente varias veces que si daban medallas a besar que ya había besado antes decían las niñas:  Ah! Ya están besadas?  Y las devolvía y era cierto, se comprobó.  Entre entradas y salidas de éxtasis tuvieron 44, 46, o 47.  Aquí vi como le dieron un anillo a besar y después se lo volvió a poner en la mano izquierda y dijo:  Ah, no es aquí?  Y se lo pasó a la otra mano, y asi era correcto, pues ella lo llevaba en la derecha, como es costumbre en Valencia de donde era la dueña de dicho anillo matrimonial.  También la vi sacar fotos con una máquina muy antigua que traía un cura e hizo esta operación dos veces, le dijo también como se llamaba.

           Día 13-9-61.  A las 4:15 tuvieron éxtasis en los Pinos, Jacinta y Loli y duró hasta las 5:25.  Luego Loli sola estuvo otros 7 minutos viendo la aparición.  Dicen que vieron a la Virgen del Carmen.  Jacinta volvió otros 9 minutos a tener visión también.  M. Cruz estuvo en casa de Conchita tuvo éxtasis a las 7:45 subiendo así a los pinos, estuvo 25 minutos derribana y volvió al pueblo al llegar a la calleja se extasió Conchita que iba con ella, y así llegaron a la puerta de la Iglesia, Conchita quedó ahí derribada y luego le dieron rosario que dio a besar a la visión devolviéndoselo a la señora que se lo había dado, se fue a su casa y se le quitó.  M. Cruz estuvo a la puerta de Iglesia 30 minutos y se fue a casa, subió al piso, cogió 2 estampas y se las dio a besar a la Virgen, quedando fuera de éxtasis a las 9:30.

           September 13, 1961.  At 4:15 Jacinta and Loli had ecstasies in the Pines that lasted until 5:25.  Then Loli was in ecstasy alone for 7 minutes, still seeing the apparition.  They said that they saw Our Lady of Mount Carmel.  Jacinta had a vision for another 9 minutes.  Mari Cruz was in Conchita’s house and had an ecstasy at 7:45.  She went up to the Pines and was there for 25 minutes on the ground.  She then returned to the village and upon arriving on the road, Conchita fell into ecstasy and went with Mari Cruz.  They arrived like that at the door of the Church.  Conchita stayed there on the floor and later gave a rosary for the vision to kiss, then returned it to the woman who owned it.  She went to her house and then returned to a natural state.  Mari Cruz was at the door of the Church for 30 minutes and then went to her house, went to the second floor, took 2 pictures and gave them to the Virgin to kiss.  She fell out of the ecstasy at 9:30.

           Día 14-9-61.  Dicen que la Virgen les mandó rezar el rosario en los Pinos.  Estuvieron en los pinos, Jacinta, Loli, y Mari Cruz las dos primeros tuvieron éxtasis pe.  M. Cruz no tuvo, dicen vieron a la Virgen del Carmen.  A las 7:30 se puso Conchita en éxtasis y como asustada y se levantó de pies y hombres, en este estado, estuvo derribada a la puerta de la Iglesia, formando casi un arco con el cuerpo, dio a besar al público el crucifijo y terminó a las 8:30.  Luego volvió y sacó a Loli en brazos, a las 9 salió del éxtasis.

           September 14, 1961.  They said that the Virgin ordered them to pray the rosary at the Pines.  Jacinta, Loli, and Mari Cruz were in the Pines.  The first two girls were in ecstasy but Mari Cruz was not.  They said that they saw Our Lady of Mount Carmel.  At 7:30 Conchita fell into ecstasy and was frightened.  She stood up on her feet, then she fell on the door of the Church, forming almost an arc with her body.  She gave the crucifix to be kissed.  That ended at 8:30.  Then she returned and took Loli in her arms.  She fell out of ecstasy at 9.

           Día 15-9-61.  Rezaron el rosario normales, Jacinta y Loli y M. Cruz en los nos, después de unos momento tuvieron una aparición pequeña a las 5:15, primero Jacinta y luego Loli y luego volvió Jacinta.  M. Cruz no tuvo, fue unos 15 minutos.  Dice Jacinta que la riñó porque llevaba las uñas pintadas y a Loli porque se había pintado los labios.

           September 15, 1961.  Jacinta, Loli, and Mari Cruz prayed the rosary in the normal state.  After that they had a small apparition at 5:15.  First, Jacinta and then Loli fell into ecstasy, and then Jacinta returned to the normal state.  Mari Cruz didn’t have an ecstasy.  It lasted about 15 minutes.  Jacinta said that the Virgin scolded her because she had painted nails and Loli for wearing lipstick.

           Día 16-9-61.  A las 5:30 de la tarde le daba unas medallas Genoveva para cuando tuviese visión Conchita y apenas terminaba que se quedó en éxtasis la niña, dándolas a besar y devolviéndoselas en el éxtasis, duró solo 3 minutos, al terminar se santiguó.  A las 6:30 subieron a los pinos Loli Conchita que decían tenían llamada y al llegar se quedaron en éxtasis las 2 dieron a besar rosarios y medallas, se santiguaron y terminó fue 15 minutos.

           September 16, 1961.  At 5:30 in the afternoon Genoveva gave Conchita some medals for when she had a vision.  Conchita gave them to the Virgin to kiss when she was in ecstasy and returned them to Genoveva while still in ecstasy.  This lasted only 3 minutes.  When it ended she blessed herself.  At 6:30 Loli and Conchita went up to the Pines and they said that they’d had a call.  Upon arriving at the Pines, they fell into ecstasy.  The 2 gave rosaries and medals to be kissed, blessed themselves, and the ecstasy ended.  It was 15 minutes long.

           Día 17-9-61.  A las 5:30 subieron a los pinos Jacinta y Loli y Conchita al llegar se pusieron en éxtasis, estuvieron de rodillas derribadas dieron a besar a la visión los rosarios, medallas que llevaban y terminó, durólo.  Por la tarde a las 7 estuvieron Loli y Conchita en éxtasis dando por el pueblo a besar el crucifijo al público, terminó a las 8:30.  A las 10:17 puso en éxtasis Loli, tenía una linterna encendida en la mano y parece que preguntaba, se gasta?  Si, porqué?  Y le devolvió la linterna a su dueño, estaba en el piso, en su casa, luego baja, se santigua y vuelve a subir, estira el vestido e intenta romper el dobledillo para hacerlo más largo, a las 10:30 pregunta:  Se le quitó a Jacinta?  Y efectivamente se le había quitado.  Parece que le preguntaba a la visión.  Cuántos Dioses hay?  Contestando Loli, si uno solo, lo sé por el catecismo.  Subió a los pinos en ese estado y nada más llegar da a besar la cara y ella besó también, terminando a las 10:40.  Conchita tuvo la aparición en su casa, este día, se había puesto antes un anillo y no podía quitarselo e hicieron la prueba de quitarlo con agua y jabón, preguntaba:  No tiene M. Cruz aparición.  Dio a besar el crucifijo desde la ventana de su cocina al público que estaba en la calle, unas 60 personas, diciendo:  Ah que hay 2 que no quiern besar?…y sale a la calle con el crucifijo en la mano y busca entre el público que estaba en la calle a esos do y se lo da a besar, como era de noche y fuera totalmente a oscuras, luego entró y terminó la visión eran las 9:59.

           September 17, 1961.  At 5:30 Jacinta, Loli, and Conchita went up to the Pines, and upon arriving they fell into ecstasy.  They fell on their knees there and gave the vision the rosaries and medals that they had brought to be kissed.  It lasted 10 minutes.  At 7 in the evening Loli and Conchita were in ecstasy giving the people the crucifix to kiss.  It ended at 8:30.  At 10:17 Loli fell into ecstasy; she had a lighted lantern in her hand and it seemed as if she was asking: “Will it break?  Yes, why?”  Then she returned the lantern to its owner.  She was on the second floor in her house, then she went downstairs, blessed herself, went back upstairs.  She stretched her dress as if she wanted it to be longer.  At 10:30 she asks:  “Did you leave Jacinta?”  She had left Jacinta.  It seemed that she had asked the vision, “How many Gods are there?”  Loli answered:  “Yes, only one, I know that from Catechism.”  She went up to the Pines in this state and as soon as she arrived she presented her face to be kissed and Loli gave kisses as well.  This ended at 10:40.  Conchita had an apparition in her house that same day.  She had a ring on, and she couldn’t take it off, so they tried to get it off using soap and water.  She said:  “Mari Cruz doesn’t have an apparition.”  She gave the crucifix to be kissed by the people in the street from the window of her kitchen.  There were about 60 people.  She said:  “Oh, there are two people that don’t want to kiss it?”  And she went out to the street with the crucifix in her hand, looking among the people for the two who didn’t want to kiss it, and gave it to them to kiss.  It was night and completely dark.  She came back and the vision left her at 9:59.

           Día 18-9-61.  Vi a Jacinta a las 7, daba a besar una medalla que ponía en la punta de los dedos y en la palma de la mano una vez se la cayó y cogió Marcelo, y ella buscó un poco por el suelo y después dijo:  Dámelo Marcelo.  Y la dio a besar, después se la dio también a besar al público.  Duró justo una hora.  Llegó a su casa después de estar 1 hora con Jacinta y nada más llegar a su casa, se pone en éxtasis otra vez a las 8 de la noche.  (la famosa medalla parece ser es de una señora de Llanes que en su pueblo tuvo muchas discusiones sobre S.S. de G. y decía que algo tenía que ser, los quien habían venido con ella se habían ido antes de nada, y ella esperó diciendo que quería ver algo, esperaba).  A las 8 salen en éxtasis Conchita y Mari Cruz, esta última estuvo 20 minutos de rodillas junto a la puerta de la Iglesia y le oí decir Ay! Por qué te vas tan luego.  Se persigna y se le quita allí mismo.

           September 18, 1961.  I saw Jacinta at 7.  She gave a medal to be kissed, putting them on her fingertips.  Sometimes they would fall and Marcelo would pick them up.  She would look for them on the floor for awhile and then she would say:  “Give it to me Marcelo.”  Then she would give it to the vision to be kissed, and she would also give it to the people to kiss.  This went on for an hour.  She arrived at her house after being with Jacinta for an hour.  She fell into ecstasy again at 8.  (The famous medal described here belonged to a woman from Llanes,who had a lot of discussions about the S.S. of G.  She said that it had to be true. And those who had come with her and come before and not seen anything, she told them to wait if they wanted to see something).  At 8 Conchita and Mari Cruz left in ecstasy.  In this last apparition they were on their knees for 20 minutes next to the door of the Church and I heard them say:  “Oh!  Why are you going so soon?”  They made the sign of the cross and left the ecstasy then.

           Conchita vino así de su casa.  Estuvo junto a la Iglesia, después volvió a su casa dando a besar el Crucifijo, al terminar se persignó y eran la 9 cuando se le fue.  Conchita hace mucho hincapié con una niña de la de Matutano y yo creo que puede influir el que durante ayer y hoy han estado mucho en su casa y hablando con ellas.  También Mercedes le dio un crucifijo por curiosidad estando en éxtasis, que ya estaba besado, y al dárselo a la visión dijo Ah!  Que ya está besado!  Bueno pero bésalo otra vez.  Luego nos contestó que la Virgen había dicho que estaba besado pero que lo volvió a besar.

           Conchita left her house like this.  She was next to the Church, then after that she returned to her house where she gave the crucifix to be kissed.  When she finished, she made the sign of the cross and it was 9 when the ecstasy finished.  Conchita spoke often to a girl from the Matutano family and I believe that she influenced the girl because yesterday and today they spent some time talking together.  Mercedes also gave her a crucifix that had already been kissed out of curiosity while she was in ecstasy.  When Conchita gave it to the vision she said:  “Oh!  It has already been kissed!  Well, kiss it again.”  Later she told us that the Virgin had said that it had already been kissed but that the Virgin kissed it again.

           Día 19-9-61.  Vino este día Don Isidoro capellán castrensa de Aviación, venía de militar, se le preguntó a Loli que estaba en éxtasis por medio de Jacinta que no lo estaba y esta última tampoco sabía que el militar fuera sacerdote (ocurría en el piso de Loli a las 6).  Que cuántos sacerdotes había, contestó que 3 (solo se veían dos).  Luego le pregunté que en total en el pueblo cuantos había (yo sabía que había otro en el pueblo) y contestó que 4 añadiendo ah! Uno viene vestido con guardia!  En casa de Conchita estuvieron en éxtasis Conchita, Loli, y Jacinta.  Conchita salió la primera y preguntó a Jacinta, cómo se llama el militar?  Y esta después de preguntarle a la visión dijo:  Isidoro.  Terminaron a las 8 y media.

           September 19, 1961.  Mr. Isidro, a pilot from the airforce, came that day dressed in his uniform.  He was a priest, so we asked Loli who was in ecstasy through Jacinta. Neither of them knew that he was a priest.  (This happened in Loli’s house at 6).  We asked how many priests were there, and she answered 3 (only 2 were visible).  Then I asked how many total were in the village (I knew that there was another priest in the town) and she answered:  “4,”  then added, “Oh!  One came dressed in a uniform!”  Conchita, Loli, and Jacinta were in ecstasy in Conchita’s house.  Conchita left the ecstasy first and asked Jacinta:  “What is the name of the priest in uniform?”  After she asked the vision, Jacinta said:  “Isidro.”  The ecstasy ended at 8:30.

           Día 20.  A las 8:05 estaba en la cama hablando Conchita y quedó en éxtasis.  Tenía un chicle en la boca y dijo:  que lo tire?  Lo tira, se santigua, reza el Señor mío Jesucristo y dice por qué te vas tan pronto?  Cuando vas a volver mañana?  Mañana más?  Bueno…se santigua y termina (volvió a repetir mañana dos horas?) y añadió que sane la que no oye y la ciega, la abuela de Marta y la mujer de don Emilio, cuando Jacinta te pasaba la medalla no era verdad.  Loli a las 12 tuvo éxtasis dando una piedra a besar para un enfermo de Liencres.  Mari Cruz salió por la mañana al monte, a las 4 de la tarde estaba en la Braña del monte, a unos 4 kilómetros del pueblo, dice que allí tuvo una llamada y salió corriendo hacia los Pinos, venían con ella otras dos jovenes mayores, más fuertes, pero se cansaban antes que ella y le decían tu no te cansas?  A lo que ella contestaba, no yo voy como si fuerta sentada.  Al 11 llegar a los Pinos quedó en éxtasis, estuvo 20 minutos y dice que vio a la Virgen del Carmen.

           September 20, 1961.  At 8:05 Conchita was on her bed talking when she fell into ecstasy.  She had a piece of gum in her mouth and said:  “What should I throw away?”  She threw away the gum, blessed herself, prayed an Act of Contrition and said:  “Why are you going so soon?  When are you going to return tomorrow?  More tomorrow?  Ok…”  She blesses herself and the ecstasy ends.  (She repeats:  “Two hours tomorrow?”) She adds that the deaf will hear and the blind will see, and that Marta’s grandmother and Emilio’s wife will get well, but when Jacinta passed the medal over her it did not happen.  At 12 Loli had an ecstasy, giving a stone to be kissed for a sick person from Liencres.  Mari Cruz left in the morning for the mountain.  At 4 in the afternoon she was in the mountain 4 kilometers from the village.  She said that she had a call there and left running toward the Pines, two older girls were with her who looked stronger than her but they got tired before her.  They asked her:  “You’re not tired?”  She answered:  “I feel like I’ve been walking sitting down.”  At 11 they arrived at the Pines in ecstasy.  She was there for 20 minutes and she said that she saw Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.

           Día 21-9-61.  Conchita no tuvo nada aunque dijo el día anterior que estaría dos horas.  Tuvieron ella y Mari Cruz dos llamadas pero como era muy tarde luego se fueron a la cama.  Loli y Jacinta subieron a los pinos, rezaron el rosario, luego bajaron, todos sin éxtasis, volvieron a los pinos a las 5:50, estuvieron 10 minutos al cabo de los cuales cayeron en éxtasi las dos, dando a besar medallas y rosarios que llevaban y terminó.  Después rezaron una estación y al bajar se quedó Loli en éxtasis en su casa.  Terminó a los 8 minutos.

           September 21, 1961.  Conchita didn’t have an ecstasy even though the day before she’d said that she would have one for two hours.  Conchita and Mari Cruz had two calls but since it was late, they went to bed.  Loli and Jacinta went up to the Pines, prayed the rosary, and then came down from the Pines without going into ecstasy.  They returned to the Pines at 5:50 and they were there for 10 minutes before they had ecstasies.  They gave the medals and rosaries they’d brought to be kissed, and then the ecstasy ended.  After that they prayed a Station and after coming down from the Pines Loli had an ecstasy in her house.  It ended after 8 minutes.

           Día 22-9-61.  Conchita tuvo éxtasis en su casa a las 10 de la noche.  Duró 110 minutos, dio a besar el crucifijo a los de casa y a los de fuera por la ventana.  El público aguantó la lluvia durante todo el tiempo y lloraba.  Las otras 3 no tuvieron nada.  Mari Cruz dice que tuvo dos llamadas pero como era tarde se acostó.

           September 22, 1961.  Conchita had an ecstasy in her house at 10 o’clock at night.  It lasted 110 minutes, she gave the crucifix to be kissed to those in the house and those outside through the window.  The people tolerated the rain during this whole time and cried.  The other 3 girls didn’t have ecstasies.  Mari Cruz says that she had two calls but since it was late, she went to bed.

           Día 23.  A las 10 comienza en casa de Conchita, fue a la iglesia, volvió a su casa, da a besar el anillo de Mari Carmen la mujer de Faito y se lo vuelve a poner.  Se lo pone a la izquierda y dice:  Ah!  Que se lo cambie?  Y que más da si se lo dejo a la izquierda?  Reza un Padre Nuestro Ave María otro Padre Nuestro, 10 Ave Marías y otro misterio del rosario.

           September 23, 1961.  At 10 the ecstasy began in Conchita’s house.  She went to the Church, returned to her house, gave Faito’s wife, Mari Carmen’s ring to be kissed and then put it back on her finger.  She put it on the left hand and then said:  “Oh!  Change it?  What is the difference if I just leave it there?”  She prays an Our Father and a Hail Mary, then another Our Father.  She adds 10 Hail Marys and another mystery of the Rosary.

           Día 24-9-61.  Subieron Conchita y Mari Cruz a las 7 de la tarde a los pinos.  Se puso en éxtasis Mari Cruz y decía:  Hay un sacerdote de paisano, luego llega a la puerta de la iglesia y dice:  ah!  Que el sacerdote está junto a mi (efectivamente el sacerdote de paisano se llamaba Maximino Barrio del pueblo de Renedo de Valdavia, Palencia), luego dio a besar los rosarios que el público le entregada.  Todo esto por medio de Conchita.  Luego le dio la mano al sacerdote.  Terminó a las 7 y media.  A las 7:35 estando Conchita en casa de Mari Cruz sintió una llamada.  Sale rápidamente a su casa, dice que se iba a quitar la ropa, a la segunda llamada salió rápida y llegando a su casa quedó en éxtasis.  Baja sentada las escaleras y sale, hace mucho hincapié en que le diga el número de misas, quería saber cuantas misas había habido en la capilla del Brezo el día de la fiesta y decía:  anda, dímelo, dímelo.

           September 24, 1961.  Conchita and Mari Cruz went up to the Pines at 7 in the evening.  Mari Cruz fell into ecstasy and said:  “There is a priest here dressed in layman’s clothes.  Then she arrives at the door of the Church and says:  “Oh!  The priest is next to me!”  (The priest dressed in layman’s clothes was named Maximino Barrio from the village of Renedo de Valdavia, Palencia).  Then she gave the rosaries to be kissed and returned them to the people.  All this happened through Conchita.  Then she gave her hand to the priest.  This ended at 7:30.  At 7:35 Conchita felt a call while she was in Mari Cruz’s house.  She left and went to her house quickly.  She said that she had to change her clothes.  After the second call, she left rapidly and upon arriving at her house she fell into ecstasy.  She came downstairs sitting and left, there was a lot of talking in which she said the number of masses.  She wanted to know how many masses there had been in the Chapel of Brezo on the feast day and she said:  “Come on, tell me, tell me.”

           Añadió:  bastante has hecho con venir pero dímelo (Parece que no tuvo contestación).  Dice Mari Cruz que le había dicho que las otras dos Loli y Jacinta dijeran siempre la verdad.  Estando rezando Conchita el rosario se levanta a cada Ave María y cae muy fuerte de rodillas.  Le ponen una almohadilla y dice a la visión:  mira lo que me han puesto, se la quita y sigue rezando.  Dice Mari Cruz que mañana la volverá a ver.  Dicen también las otras dos que no la verán hasta el jueves.  Salen por el pueblo y andan todos con ellas.  Da a besar el crucifijo, vuelve a casa y termina a las 8 y media.

           She added:  “You have done enough by coming, but tell me…”  (It seems that there was no answer).  Mari Cruz says that she had said that the other two, Loli and Jacinta always told the truth.  Conchita was praying the rosary.  She got up and fell very hard during each Hail Mary.  They put a little pillow under her and she said to the vision:  “Look at what they’ve put under me.”  She took the pillow away and continued praying.  Mari Cruz said that she would see the Virgin again tomorrow.  The others said that they wouldn’t see her again until Thursday.  They left, walking through the village, and everyone walked with them.  They give the cross to be kissed, returned to their houses and the ecstasy ended at 8:30.

           Día 25-9-61.  A las 11 se pone en éxtasis Conchita en su casa.  Va a la Iglesia, vuelve a casa, está echada.  En la iglesia dio a besar el crucifijo rezó el rosario al Angel de la Guarda, un credo al Sagrado Corazón y una Salve.  Pasa por casa de Loli y dice:  Aquí es donde está la mentirosa.  Vuelve a su casa, enchufó una imagen de la Virgen del Carmen, que tenía lamparita y decía:  Mira que guapa es como tu.  Al darla a besara la visión parece que le dio un calambre y decía:  tócalo, tócalo tu.  Lo dijo 4 veces.  Luego desenchufó y subió a su habitación.  Terminó a las 11:20.  Había 3 curas.  Cuando le dio el calambre se notó claramente pues hizo ademán de quejarse por el dolor.

           September 25, 1961.  At 11 Conchita had an ecstasy in her house.  She went to the Church, and then returned to the house, where she lay down.  In the Church she gave the crucifix to be kissed and prayed the rosary to the Guardian Angel, a creed to the Sacred Heart, and a Salve.  She passes Loli’s house and says:  “Here is where the liar lives.”  She returns to her house, lights an image of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel.  She had a little lamp and said:  “Look how beautiful she is, like you.”  Upon giving it to be kissed it seemed as if it gave her a shock:  “Touch it, touch it.”  She said it 4 times.  Then she turned off the lamp and went up to her room.  It ended at 11:20.  There were 3 priests.  When she got the shock it was noted that she made a face as though she was in pain.

           Día 26.  A las 8:30 sale de su casa en éxtasis Jacinta.  Va a casa de Ceferino, sale acompañada de Loli fuera de éxtasis.  Va hacia atrás y hacia adelante como si fuese bailando durante un pequeño trayecto y lo hace varias veces.  Me daba la sensación que veía y pensando esto subí al piso de Ceferino.  Cuando yo subía le preguntaban por medio de Loli cuantas personas hay aquí?  De tu familia y de la mía y don Valentín que sube ahora, después sacó la libreta desde un sitio donde no me podía ver y dijo:  ya está don Valentín con la libreta.  Después me la quitó, se la presentó a la visión y yo me cambié de sitio, pero me buscó y me la dio.  Dice Loli que ese día notó que la besó dos veces.  Las otras no tuvieron.

           September 26, 1961.  At 8:30 Jacinta left her house in ecstasy.  She went to Ceferino’s house, and left accompanied by Loli who was not in ecstasy.  She went backwards and forwards as though she was dancing for a short while, and she did it several times.  I thought that she could see it, and I went up to Ceferino’s house.  When I went up they asked through Loli how many people were there.  Of your family, and mine and Fr. Valentín, who came up now, after she took the notebook from the place where I couldn’t see it and said:  “Fr. Valentín is here with his notebook.”  Afterward she took it from me and showed the vision and I changed places.  She found me and gave it to me.  Loli said that that day she noted that the Virgin kissed it twice.  The other girls didn’t have ecstasies.

           Día 27-9-61.  Tuvieron llamadas Mari Cruz y Conchita, dos llamadas.  Era noche y no tuvieron la tercera, se fueron a la cama, dicen que tuvieron las 4 las dos llamadas al mismo tiempo.  Jacinta sale a las 9 de la noche en éxtasis, va a casa de Loli, coge un cuadro y se lo lleva a Cándida después de haberselo dado a besar a la Virgen (el cuadro era de Cándida), vuelve donde estaba Loli, allí estuvo acostada, luego salió corrió para adelante y para atrás, volvió a casa de Loli y desde allí a su casa, terminado a las 9:20.  Loli entró en éxtasis a las 9:30 en su casa.  Salió por el pueblo, una vez que le preguntaron quien está aquí contestó:  los de ayer y Juanito que sube por la escalera.  Termina a las 10:05.  Jacinta estuvo en casa de Tiva, antes le había dicho la prima: mira que lástima ya no te voy a ver ni voy a ver nada, pues quería ver lo de esta noche, pero no tengo ganas de salir y después estando en éxtasis vino y le puso una cadena que antes le había dado a besar a la Virgen (dice don Valentín:  esto me hace pensar mal).

           September 27, 1961.  Mari Cruz and Conchita had two calls.  It was night and they didn’t have the third call, so they went to bed.  They said that the four girls had the two calls at the same time.  Jacinta leaves at 9 at night in ecstasy, she goes to Loli’s house, takes a picture, and brings it to Cándida after having giving it to the Virgin to kiss (the picture was of Cándida), she returned to where Loli is, and she lies down there.  Then she leaves running forward and backward, returns to Loli’s house and from there she goes to her house.  It ended at 9:20.  Loli entered ecstasy at 9:30 in her house.  She left and went through the village, and one time they asked her who was there and she answered:  “Those who were here yesterday and Juanito, who came up the stairs.”  It ended at 10:05.  Jacinta was in Tiva’s house, before she had said to her cousin:  “Look, what a shame, I’m not going to see you again tonight, I don’t feel like going out.”  After being in ecstasy she came and put a chain around her that she had given to the Virgin to be kissed.  (Fr. Valentín says:  “I don’t like this.”) 

           Día 28-9-61.  A las 9:15 se pone en éxtasis Jacinta.  Sale de casa hacia la iglesia, se queda acostada, vuelve a casa, busca en el armario alguna cosa, se pone en arco, luego de rodillas y de pie, sigue buscando algo, da a besar un rosario, me lo da a mi y se sonríe.  Y lo mismo a Doña Alicia.  Da a besar al público el crucifijo, luego se lo pone a un Padre que estaba de paisano diciéndole:  Con lo bien que estaba usted vestido de blanco.  Termina a las 9:30.  Cuando terminó le dijo:  dime quien era ese señor.  Un dominico, como va a ser un dominico le contesté, quién te lo ha dicho?  Me dijo que la Virgen.  Y era un dominico, Fray Faustino Varona.  Luego rezó un rosario.  NOTA:  Hoy estuvieron la familia de Matutano por eso puede ser que las niñas se sugestionasen.  A las 10:15 se puso en éxtasis Jacinta.  Bailó para adelante y para atrás.  Hace algunos días que me da la sensación que algunos éxtasis de esta niña son fingidos.  Al menos parte de ellos, estuvo unos minutos.  Jacinta salió del trance en casa de Ceferino.  Dijo que luego llamaba la Virgen a Loli, al poco Loli se puso en trance en su casa.  Salió, fue a la iglesia, volvió al pueblo, fue a casa, subió al piso, terminó a las 11.  Hay una nota añadida a este día que dice:  Jacinta después de dar a besar a la visión varios rosarios y medallas, salió cogida de Alicia al portal, se quitó el impermeable de plástico y se lo puso en un brazo, llovía, se dirige a casa de Loli, sube sin soltar a Alicia y dice:  vamos Loli.  El padre de Loli le dice a esta, pregunta quien ha dicho que salgas, Jacinta contesta la Virgen.  Y bajan cogidas Loli, Jacinta, y Alicia.  Loli sin aparición le pregunte a Jacinta en el portal:  por qué te has quitado la gabardina?  Contesta Jacinta porque no llueve (si llovía).  Suelta Jacinta a Alicia y echa a correr para adelante y luego para atrás por las calles.  El padre de Loli no las deja subir, salen a la iglesia que estaba abierta y Loli dice a Jacinta:  No se puede entrar.  Luego normales van a casa de Loli.  El padre sigue sin dejarles subir y bajan Jacinta normal y Loli en éxtasis a las 10:35.  Da a besar un crucifijo a la gente, sube a las 10:38, vuelve a salir a las 10:41 y sale corriendo a la calle dando varias vueltas al pueblo, pasa dos veces por casa de Conchita, ninguna por la de Mari Cruz, vuelve a casa y termina a las 10:44.  Jacinta la acompañó en estado normal.  Parece ser que Mari Cruz no tuvo avisos ese día.

           September 28, 1961.  At 9:15 Jacinta fell into ecstasy.  She left her house and went towards the Church, she left and lay down.  She goes to the house again, looks for something in the closet, and gives the rosary to be kissed.  She gives it to me and smiles.  She does the same thing to Mrs. Alicia.  She gives the crucifix to the public to kiss, and later she gives it to a priest who was dressed as a layman saying:  “You look better when you are dressed in white.”  It ended at 9:30.  When it ended she said:  “Tell me, who was that man?”  A Dominican.  She answered:  “Friar Faustino Varona.”  Then she prayed a rosary.  NOTE:  Today Matutano’s family was here because the girls suggested it.  At 10:15 Jacinta had an ecstasy.  She danced forward and backward.  For a few days I’ve had a feeling that the ecstasies of the girls are fake.  At least for a few minutes.  Jacinta left the trance in Ceferino’s house.  She said that the Virgin called Loli later, and after a little while, Loli had a trance in her house.  She left, went to the Church, returned to the village, went upstairs, and the trance ended at 11.  There is a note added to this day that says:  After Jacinta gave various rosaries and medals to the Virgin to kiss, she held onto Alicia in the doorway, removed the plastic raincoat she was wearing and put it on her arm.  It was raining.  She went to Loli’s house, went upstairs without letting go of Alicia and says:  “Let’s go, Loli.”  Loli’s father said to her:  “Who says that she can leave?”  Jacinta answered that it was the Virgin.  Loli, Jacinta, and Alicia went downstairs with their arms linked.  Loli, who didn’t  have an apparition asked Jacinta in the doorway:  “Why have you removed your raincoat?”  Jacinta answered that she had removed it because it wasn’t raining (it was raining).  Jacinta lets Alicia go and she runs forward and then backward to the road.  Loli’s father did not tell them that they could go up.  They left the Church, which was open and Loli said to Jacinta:  “We can’t enter.”  Then, when they returned to the normal state they went to Loli’s house.  Her father followed them without saying that they could go up.  Jacinta came downstairs in the normal state and Loli came down in ecstasy at 10:35.  She gave the crucifix to the people to kiss, went up at 10:38, left again at 10:41, and left running into the street making circles in the village.  She passed Conchita’s house twice, she did not pass Mari Cruz’s house, and she went back home and the ecstasy ended at 10:44.  Jacinta accompanied her in the normal state.  Mari Cruz didn’t receive any calls that day.

           Día 29-9-61.  Jacinta empieza la aparición a las 10:55 en su casa.  Da a besar un crucifijo y muchos rosarios y medallas a la aparición.  Saca una medalla grande y se la da a una señora, se levanta y dice 8 veces:  aquí, en donde?  De quien es esta?  De aquí?  Le pone una medalla a una señora, baja al portal a las 11:07.  Anda hasta casa de Loli, por la calle va dando a besar el crucifijo, sube y se termina a las 11:23 en casa de Loli.   Loli a las 11:27 en su casa estando con Jacinta y luego cae en éxtasis.  Sale de casa y va corriendo al atrio de la iglesia, luego corre por el pueblo, va a casa de Jacinta, está normal.  Llama a la puerta de casa de Jacinta y dice:  no hay nadie.  Luego va a casa de Conchita y dijo sunpadre:  no entrará.  En efecto no entra y llora.  Llama a Conchita, ésta no saleppor estar en la cama.  Se arrodilla en el barro y se mancha toda.  Se levanta y hace como si se levara la falda y el jersey frotándolos.  Vuelve a su casa a las 10:27.   Baja en éxtasis a las 10:35 se tumba en la tienda y termina a las 10:38.

           September 29, 1961.  Jacinta’s apparition begins at 10:55 in her house.  She gives the crucifix and many rosaries and medals to the apparition to kiss.  She takes a large medal and gives it to a lady, stands up and says 8 times:  “Here, where?  Who does it belong to?  Here?”  She puts the medal on a lady, and goes down to the doorway at 11:07.  She walks to Loli’s house, giving the crucifix to the people to kiss in the street.  She goes upstairs and the ecstasy ends at 11:23 in Loli’s house.  Loli is in her house with Jacinta at 11:27 and then she falls into ecstasy.  She leaves the house and runs to the atrium of the Church.  Later, she runs through the village and goes to Jacinta’s house, where she returns to the normal state.  She calls at the door of Jacinta’s house and says:  “No one is here.”  Then she goes to Conchita’s house and her father says:  “She will not go in.”  Loli did not enter and she cried.  She calls Conchita, but Conchita does not leave the house because she is in her bed.  Loli kneels in the mud and her clothes are stained.  She gets up and she makes movements as she tries to clean her skirt with her hand.  She returns to her house at 10:27.  She has an ecstasy at 10:35 and lies in the store.  The ecstasy ends at 10:38.

           Día  30-9-61.  Estuvo en casa de Jacinta en trance a las 11:30 y dio a besar un crucifijo al público.  Desde allí fue a casa de Loli, estuvo unos momentos, volvió a su casa, terminó a las 12:15.  Dijo que luego lo tendría Loli.  A los 5 minutos entró Loli en trance en su casa.  Salió se balanceó junto a su casa unos minutos, le dieron unos rosarios (de León, eran los que se lo dieron) y los dio a besar devolviéndoselos después en medio de mucha gente en éxtasis (ellos se lo habían dado en estado natural para que fuesen besados).  A las 12:30 llega Loli a la casa de Conchita en éxtasis.  Y apenas se marchó cayó Conchita en éxtasis en su casa, buscó un crucifijo, terminó a las 1:05.  Solo se le oyó decir por qué no, por qué no!  Al terminar dijo Conchita que la Virgen le había dicho esa noche una cosa mucho más importante que todo lo que yo había escrito.  Cuando estuvo buscando en crucifijo decía:  me lo han quitado, me lo han quitado (su madre lo había cambiado de sitio).  Vuelve Jacinta otra vez a casa de Conchita a la 1:20 en éxtasis.  Al llegar a la puerta decía:  No te rías, no te rías.

           September 30, 1961. Jacinta was in her house in a trance at 11:30 and she gave the crucifix to the people to kiss.  From there, she went to Loli’s house where she stayed for a few minutes before returning to her own house where the ecstasy ended at 12:15.  She said that later Loli would have an ecstasy.  After 5 minutes Loli had a trance in her house.  She left her house and balanced next to it for a few moments, the people gave her some rosaries (the people were from León) and Loli gave them to be kissed, then returned them to their owners while still in ecstasy (they had given them to her while she was in a natural state to be kissed by the Virgin during the ecstasy).  At 12:30 Loli arrives at Conchita’s house in ecstasy.  As soon as she left, Conchita had an ecstasy in her house, looked for the crucifix, and it ended at 1:05.  We only heard the words:  “Why not!  Why not!”  When the ecstasy ended, Conchita said that the Virgin had told her something very important, more important than anything that had been written that night.  When she was looking for the crucifix she said:  “Somebody must have taken it, somebody must have taken it…”  (Her mother had changed its location).  Jacinta returned to Conchita’s house again at 1:20 in ecstasy.  Upon arriving at the door she said:  “Don’t laugh, don’t laugh.”

           Noche del día 30-9-61.  Jacinta fue la primera que entró en éxtasis a las 11:33 llegó a casa de Loli.  Entró en su habitación, ésta estaba adormilada encima de su cama, se arrodilló, se levantó y salió de su casa.  A las 12:21 llega a su casa y sale del éxtasis, a las 12:14 entró Loli en éxtasis sentada en la escalera de su casa, estuvo un ratito y a continuación fue a la puerta de la iglesia hizo la señal de la cruz y se dirigió a la plaza donde se paró, osciló y Jacinta la agarró para evitar que se cayese en el barro.  Se deja caer de rodillas, se lo impedíamos, dice:  No veo la Virgen…si; a las 12:03 sigue intentando arrodillarse y repite:  dejarme.  Lo hicimos así y ella se quedó apoyada con las dos manos y los talones en el suelo.  Al rato se tocó las manos para secárselas, se las acabó de secar en la falda.  Se quedó de pie y quieta.  Osciló y cayó de nuevo apoyándose con una sola mano.  Luego entró en casa, dio arriba a besar los rosarios que llevaba, los que yo le había entregado me los devolvió en el acto y dijo:  Puedo salir y entregarselo al dueño.  Salió y dio el que tenía a una señora de quien era.  Ella había preguntado antes a la visión de quien era ese rosario.  A las 12:15 vuelve a preguntar de otro rosario besado de quien es, a donde está, dimelo, dimelo anda, aquí?  Y se lo da a su dueño.  Después coge la cabeza de Jacinta y dice bésala (Jacinta me dijo que no la había besado).  Entra en su casa, se sienta en la escalera, al poco tiempo sale de nuevo con Jacinta sin éxtasis, sale, se para, anda atrás y adelante, Jacinta la vuelve a sujetar, se turnaba con su padre cuando se cansaba.  Va a casa de Conchita no entra, tiene las manos frías, a las 12:29 llega a su casa.  Va 3 veces a la puerta, volviendo a sentarse en el sitio donde comenzó el éxtasis, a la 1:27 se santigua, se persigna y termina.  A la 1:26 Jacinta en el mismo sitio entra en éxtasis, sale a la calle, y hace lo mismo que Loli intentar tumbarse y decir que la dejen.  A la 1:29 llega a casa de Conchita y dice:  la das un beso a Conchita?  Y le pone la cara para recibirlo.  Como Conchita se reía le dice:  no te rías.  Como insistía la dejamos que se cayese y lo hizo apoyándose con las dos manos.  Terminó en casa de Loli.  Le dijo a esta que tendría otra aparición pues la Virgen le diria una cosa.  Entró Loli efectivamente en éxtasis otra vez, salió, hizo lo de antes vuelve a entrar y sale del éxtasis.  Jacinta tuvo otro de un minuto y medio.

           The night of September 30, 1961.  Jacinta was the first to have an ecstasy at 11:33, and then she arrived at Loli’s house.  She went into her bedroom, where Loli was sleeping in her bed.  Jacinta knelt, got up, and left the house.  At 12:21 she arrived at her house and left the ecstasy.  At 12:14 Loli went into ecstasy while sitting on the stairs in her house, she stayed there for a little while, then she went to the door of the Church where she made the sign of the cross.  Then she walked toward the village square and stopped, oscillated, and Jacinta held her so she wouldn’t fall in the mud.  She fell on her knees, and we tried to stop her, but she said:  “I don’t see the Virgin…yes.”  At 12:03 she continued trying to kneel and repeated:  “Let me go.”  We did and stayed there, supported by her two hands and feet on the ground.  After awhile, she touched her hands to dry them, then finished drying them on her skirt.  She stood and was still.  She oscillated and fell again, supporting herself with only one hand.  Later, she entered into her house, lifted the rosaries she carried to be kissed (the ones I had given her) then she returned them to me and said:  “Can I go out and give them to the owners?”  She left and gave the one she had to the woman who owned it.  She had asked the vision before she did this who the rosary belonged to.  At 12:15 she asked about the other rosary that had been kissed.  She said:  “Where is she?  Where is she?  Tell me, tell me, here?”  She gave it to the owner.  After that she grabbed Jacinta’s head and said:  “Kiss her.”  (Jacinta told me that she hadn’t been kissed).  She entered her house, sat on the stairs, and then after a little while, she left again with Jacinta, out of ecstasy.  She left, stopped, walked backwards and forwards.  Jacinta held onto her again, then she turned around with her father when she got tired.  She went to Conchita’s house but did not enter.  She had cold hands.  At 12:29 she arrived at her house.  She went to the door 3 times, returning each time to sit down in the same place where she began the ecstasy.  At 1:27 she blessed herself, made the sign of the cross, and it ended.  At 1:26 Jacinta entered into ecstasy in the same place.  She went out into the street and did the same thing as Loli, trying to lie down, and they said to let her go.  At 1:29 she arrived at Conchita’s house and said:  “Will you kiss Conchita?”  She positioned her face to receive a kiss.  Since Conchita laughed she said:  “Don’t laugh.”  She insisted that we leave her, and she fell and supported herself with her hands.  It ended in Loli’s house.  She told her that she would have another apparition because the Virgin had told her so.  Loli entered into ecstasy again, left, and she came out and did the same thing as before.  Then she entered and left the ecstasy again.  Jacinta had another ecstasy for a minute and a half.
