5-11-62.  Loli tiene aparición hacia las 3:20 ocurre algo curioso, estando en éxtasis fue a coger la ropa que su madre había tenido en la calle.  Como había mucho viento, su madre le mandó meter la ropa en casa y se disponia a salir cuando cayó en éxtasis con la linterna encendida en la mano.  Se santigua varias veces en casa , da la cruz para besar y sale a la calle, volviendo a casa con la ropa recogida.  Inmediatamente después se le pasó el éxtasis.  Hay otro aspecto interesante, mientras esperábamos la aparición, se habló ante María Dolores de que existen muchos fenómenos extraños de tipo visionario (telepatia, profecia, apariciones de difuntos a los que están a punto de morir) y una de las personas que estaban presentes, francesa, demostró que tales fenómenos pueden admitir una explicación puramente natural o científica.  Después de esta charla le preguntamos a Loli, si lo que se le había dicho sobre estos fenómenos la hacia dudar de que ella viese a la Virgen, Loli afirmó categoricamente que estaba totalmente segura de que veía a la Virgen.  No manifestó la menor inquietud al respecto.  Conchita tuvo aparición hacia las 4:20 pero solo fueron testigos de ella sus familares.  Después de la aparición en que recogió la ropa, Loli explicó porque lo hizo en éxtasis.  Cuando su madre le mandó recogerla no se atravia a hacerlo porque le daba miedo ir al lugar donde estaba tendida ya que había mucha oscuridad (todos observamos que sentía este miedo tan natural a su edad).  Dijo Loli que la Virgen se le apareció para que no tuviera miedo de ir a recogerla.

November 5, 1962.  Loli had an apparition and around 3:20 something strange happened.  While she was in ecstasy she took clothing that her mother had in the street.  Since it had been so windy, her mother asked her to bring the clothes into the house.  While she was doing this, she fell into ecstasy with the lantern in her hand.  She blessed herself several times in the house, gave the cross to be kissed and went out on the road, returning the clothing to the house.  Immediately after this, the ecstasy ended.  There is another interesting aspect:  while we were awaiting the apparition we told María Dolores about the different visionary phenomena that exist (telepathy, prophecy, apparitions of the dead and the dying).  One of the people who was there, a French girl, explained that all of these phenomena have natural or scientific explanations.  After this chat we asked Loli whether she would have doubted seeing the Virgin if somebody had told her about these phenomena before.  Loli affirmed that she was positive that she was seeing the Virgin.  She wasn’t the least bit nervous about this.  Conchita had an apparition at 4:20 but her family members were the only witnesses.  After the apparition in which she brought the clothing inside, Loli explained why she did it in ecstasy.  When her mother asked her to get the clothing, she didn’t dare do it because she was afraid to go to such a dark place (everyone observed that she had this fear, which is so common at her age).  Loli said that the Virgin appeared so that she wouldn’t be afraid to get the clothing.

Día 6-11-62.  Aparición normal de Loli a las 2:30 de la madrugada.  Terminada la aparición va a la iglesia y allí el Angel le da la comunión.  Día 7-11-62.  Hacia las 4:15 tiene aparición Loli y le dura poco.  Antes de la aparición se había hablado delante de ella de que si su éxtasis era puramente natural y de que se le podría hacer terminar soplándole a ella en los ojos.  Cuando entró en éxtasis Loli, su padre la sopló varias veces en los ojos y con fuerza y lo único que observamos es que inmediatamente después de soplarle se le bajaban los párpados abriéndolos de nuevo enseguida.  En el momento en que su padre le soplaba Loli se reía porque dice que la Virgen le contaba que estaba ocurriendo y le decía que a pesar de los esfuerzos de Ceferino el éxtasis continuaba.  Nada más terminar la aparición Loli fue a la iglesia y le dio el Angel la comunión, minutos después de terminar el éxtasis de la comunión de Loli tuvo aparición Conchita:  reza el rosario por la calle, lo termina en el cementerio, cantó después por el pueblo los cantos que les ha enseñado la Virgen.  Inmediatamente después volvió a caer en éxtasis y recibió la comunión.

November 6, 1962.  Loli had a normal apparition at 2:30 in the morning.  Upon finishing the apparition, she went to the Church and the Angel gave her Communion there.  November 7, 1962.  Around 4:15 Loli had an apparition that lasted a short time.  Before the apparition we were talking in front of her about how her ecstasy was only in her mind and that she would come out of it if we blew in her eyes.  When Loli entered into ecstasy, her father blew hard in her eyes several times, and the only thing we observed was that immediately after blowing in her eyes, she lowered her eyelids, then opened them right away.  When her father blew in her eyes she laughed because she said that the Virgin told her what was happening, and even though Ceferino tried his hardest, the ecstasy continued.  When the apparition ended, Loli went right to the Church where the Angel gave her Communion.  Just minutes after this ecstasy ended, Conchita had an ecstasy:  she prayed the rosary in the road, and it ended in the cemetery.  After this she sang through the village the songs that the Virgin had taught her.  Immediately after this she fell into ecstasy again and received Communion.

Día 8-11-62.  Hacia las 5 de la mañana tiene aparición Loli.  Antes de la aparición se le preguntó que es lo que sentía cuando besaba la Virgen.  Ella dijo que no notaba que besaba una cara.  No sentía el calor de la Virgen, su única sensación era que sus labios no podían ir más alla del rostro de la Virgen, había algo que se lo impedía.  Cuando iba a terminar la aparición Loli recibió como siempre un beso de la Virgen y a su vez ella besó para despedirse.  Entonces Loli se echó a reír y le contó a la Virgen lo que ella nos había dicho antes acerca de lo que sentía al besar a la Virgen.  Acabada la aparición fue Loli a la iglesia.  En la puerta recibió la comunión.  Cuando iba a terminar este éxtasis Loli bromeando le preguntó al Angel a ver si no le decía nada porque estaba enfadado.

November 8, 1962.  About 5 in the morning Loli had an apparition.  Before the apparition we asked her what she felt when the Virgin kissed her.  She answered that she only felt that she wasn’t kissing a face.  She didn’t feel the Virgin’s warmth.  The only sensation was that she couldn’t make her lips go any closer to the Virgin, because something impeded it.  When the apparition was going to end Loli received kisses from the Virgin as always and kissed the Virgin to say goodbye.  Then Loli began to laugh and told the Virgin what she had told us before about what she felt when she kissed the Virgin.  When the apparition finished Loli went to the Church.  In the door she received Communion.  When that ecstasy was going to end, Loli joked to the Angel that he wasn’t talking because he was angry.

Día 9-11-62.  Tiene Loli aparición hacia las 5:45.  Se le notó movimientos más precipitados que de costumbre.  Se acercó a la mesa en que había más estampas y al ir a recogerlas bajó en un rápido movimiento los ojos dirigiendo su mirada hacia la mesa, poco después tuvo un golpe de hipo, o un movimiento somático simulado lo suficientemente fuerte para que se le cayera uno de los objetos que tenía en la mano.

November 9, 1962.  Loli had an apparition around 5:45.  We noticed that her movements were faster than usual this time.  She went near the table where there were more Holy Cards and when she went to pick them up she put her eyes down, looking at the table.  Then she hiccupped, or something similar that was very strong so that one of the objects fell out of her hand.

Día 10-11-62.  Loli tiene aparición hacia las 9 menos 10.  Le dura 10 minutos.  Ocurre como siempre todo.  A la misma hora empezó Conchita terminó más tarde que la de Loli.  Lo de costumbre se observa en Conchita:  mayor lentitud, mayor magestuosidad que en las demás videntes.  Da la sensación de que el éxtasis la coge con más fuerza, sus movimientos son elegantes, hoy domingo, no les ha dado la comunión el Angel.

November 10, 1962.  Loli had an apparition at about 8:50.  It lasted 10 minutes.  Everything happened the same as always.  At the same time, Conchita had an ecstasy that lasted longer than Loli’s.  We observed the same things in Conchita, only slower, and more distinguished than the other girls.  It gives the impression that the ecstasy has a stronger hold on her.  Her movements are elegant.  Today is Sunday, so the Angel didn’t give them Communion.

November 11, 1962.  Conchita has an apparition around 4:15 in the morning.  It lasts 45 minutes.  She prays the rosary, sings the Salve, and goes to the cemetery.  Loli has an apparition at 6:50.  It lasts 10 minutes.  After their apparitions, Loli and Conchita fall into ecstasy again at the door of the Church and receive Communion from the Angel.

Día 12-11-62.  A las 7:25 de la mañana tiene aparición Loli, dura 5 minutos, vuelve a caer en éxtasis para recibir la comunión acto seguido.

November 12, 1962.  At 7:25 in the morning Loli has an apparition.  It lasts 5 minutes.  She falls into ecstasy again to receive Communion from the Angel.

Día 13-11-62.  Loli tiene aparición hacia las 10:30 de la noche.  Va a casa de Jacinta que ya había tenido aparición.

November 13, 1962.  Loli had an apparition around 10:30 at night.  She goes to Jacinta’s house; Jacinta  already had an apparition.

Día 14-11-62.  Hacia las 2:10 de la mañana tiene aparición Loli.  La tenía anunciada de dos a dos y media.  A pesar de que la tratamos de engañar diciéndole la hora que era con media hora de retraso tuvo la aparición a la hora anunciada.  Dentro del éxtasis le preguntó a la Virgen porque había avisado antes de lo prometido.  La Virgen le explicó nuestro truco (por eso vino antes según Loli).  Esta aparición duró 10 minutos, luego fue a la iglesia, cayó de nuevo en éxtasis y recibió la comunión.  Hacia las 6 de la mañana cayó Conchita en éxtasis, repetidas veces movió los ojos cuando iba por las calles, dando sensación de que trataba de orientarse, rezó el rosario, cantó la salve, fue al cementerio, subió al cuadro y bajó de espaldas.  Al final cantó los cánticos que les ha enseñado la Virgen, terminó a las 7 de la mañana.  Después fue a rezar el rosario, a continuación cayó de nuevo en éxtasis a la puerta de la iglesia y recibió la comunión.

November 14, 1962.  Around 2:10 in the morning Loli has an apparition.  It had been announced that she would have one around 2 or 2:30.  We tried to trick her by saying that it was half an hour earlier, but she still had the apparition at the announced time.  When in ecstasy she asked the Virgin why she’d said half an hour earlier.  The Virgin explained our trick (that’s why Loli thought she’d come earlier).  This apparition lasted 10 minutes, then she went to the Church where she fell into ecstasy again and received Communion.  Around 6 in the morning Conchita fell into ecstasy and moved her eyes repeatedly while she went through the streets, giving the sensation that she was trying to orient herself.  She prayed the rosary, sang the Salve, went to the cemetery, went up to the Cuadro, and descended backwards.  At the end she sang the canticles that the Virgin had taught her.  It ended at 7 in the morning.  After that she went to pray the rosary, then fell into ecstasy at the door of the Church and received Communion.

Día 15-11-62.  A las 6 aparición Conchita, Loli cae en éxtasis a las 6:30, como de costumbre luego reciben la comunión.

November 15, 1962.  At 6 Conchita had an apparition.  Loli fell into ecstasy at 6:30, then went to receive Communion as always.

Día 16-11-62.  Hoy cosa rara ninguna tuvo aparición.  Es decir de la Virgen, ya que tanto Conchita como Loli han visto al Angel y recibido la comunión.

November 16, 1962.  Today a strange thing happened:  none of the girls had apparitions.  That is, of the Virgin.  Conchita and Loli saw the Angel and received Communion.

Día 17-11-62.  Tampoco hoo ha habido aparición.

November 17, 1962.  No apparition today either.

Día 18-11-62.  En las últimas horas del día anterior tuvieron aparición Loli y Conchita sin nada extraordinario.  La misa de hoy domingo ha sido a las 6 de la tarde, nada más terminar entraron en éxtasis Loli, Jacinta y Conchita que iba en medio dando la sensación de que guiaba a las otras dos, al bajar de los pinos recorrieron de rodillas unos metros a pesar de que estaba el suelo cubierto de nieve.

November 18, 1962.  In the final hours of the previous day Loli and Conchita had an ecstasy without anything extraordinary happening.  The mass today (Sunday) was at 6 in the afternoon, and as soon as it ended Loli, Jacinta and Conchita entered into ecstasy.  Conchita was in the middle, giving the feeling that she was guiding the other two.  Upon descending from the Pines they ran on their knees several meters even though the ground was covered with snow.

Día 19-11-62.  No ha habido aparición, sin embargo como de costumbre han comulgado Loli y Conchita de manos del Angel a la puerta de la iglesia.

November 19, 1962.  There hasn’t been an apparition yet, but Loli and Conchita received Communion from the Angel as always at the door of the Church.

Día 20-11-62.  Después del rosario del pueblo, caen en éxtasis Jacinta, Loli y Conchita.  Dura hora y cuarto.  Pese, a la nieve muy abundante suben a los pinos, rezan el rosario, van al cementerio, Loli y Conchita anuncian que tendrán otra aparición en las primeras horas del día siguiente, sin embargo la aparición fue más tarde de la hora anunciada.

November 20, 1962.  After the rosary in the village, Jacinta, Loli and Conchita fell into ecstasy.  It lasted an hour and a quarter.  Even though there was a lot of snow they went up to the Pines, prayed the rosary, and went to the cemetery.  Loli and Conchita announced that they would have another apparition in the first hours of the next day, but the apparition was later than the hour announced.

Día 21-11-62.  Todo lo escrito del día anterior vale para este día, con excepción de que Jacinta no tuvo aparición.  Hay algo digno de anotar, pero sumamente delicado.  Se trata de una señora bolga de nacionalidad francesa, sintió que la Virgen la besaba en el momento en que Conchita la levantaba la mano para que la Virgen besara su alianza.  Queremos subrayar que esto es lo que creíamos entenderle a la belga.  Tenemos casi la seguridad de que esta era su afirmación, pero puede ocurrir que todo se reduzca a una mala interpretación ya que la señora solo habla en francés y ningunoo de los presentes dominaba bien esta lengua.  Hemos de añadir que dicha señora daba la sensación de ser extremadamente sensata y digna de crédito.

November 21, 1962.  All that I wrote for the day before happened today as well, except that Jacinta didn’t have an apparition.  There is something I think I should write, but it is a very delicate matter.  It has to do with a Belgian woman of French nationality.  She felt as if the Virgin kissed her when Conchita held up her wedding band to be kissed.  I have to say that this is what we think she said.  We are almost positive that this was what she said, but it could also be a misunderstanding since she only speaks French, and no one who was there spoke it well.  I will also say that this woman seemed very honest and dignified.

Día 22-11-62.  Loli tiene aparición a las 7 de la mañana.  Dura 5 minutos, después va a la iglesia, recibe la comunión de manos del Angel.  Conchita también la recibe pero no vio a la Virgen.

November 22, 1962.  Loli had an apparition at 7 in the morning.  It lasted 5 minutes.  After that, she went to the Church where she received Communion from the Angel.  Conchita also received Communion but she didn’t see the Virgin.

Día 24-11-62.  Inmediatamente después del rosario, hacia las 7 menos cuartro caen en éxtasis Loli y Jacinta.  Les dura 65 minutos.  Lo único anormal en esta aparición es que Jacinta y Loli, sin que Conchita les acompañase, fueran al cementerio.  Inmediatamente después de terminar el éxtasis de estas dos, comenzó Conchita el suyo.

November 24, 1962.  Immediately after the rosary around 6:45 Loli and Jacinta fell into ecstasy.  It lasted 65 minutes.  The only thing that was abnormal about this apparition is that Jacinta and Loli went to the cemetery, but Conchita did not accompany them.  Immediately after Jacinta and Loli’s ecstasy ended, Conchita’s began.

Día 25-11-62.  Después del rosario cae en éxtasis Jacinta, Loli le acompaña normal.  Después de un rato entra también en éxtasis Loli.  Hemos de anotar que en las primeras horas de esta mañana ha tenido Conchita un éxtasis en el que dijo que su milagro se realizará a las 8:30 de la tarde.  La misma hora en que produjo el primer éxtasis con el Angel.  (18-6-61 a las 8:30).  También ha dicho que durante se milagro se producirán curaciones de enfermos.

November 25, 1962.  After the rosary Jacinta fell into ecstasy and Loli accompanied her in the normal state.  After a little while, Loli also entered into ecstasy.  We have to note that in the first hours of this morning Conchita had an ecstasy in which she said that her miracle would take place at 8:30 in the afternoon, at the same time she’d had the first ecstasy with the Angel (It was June 18, 1961 at 8:30).  She also said that during the miracle the sick would be cured.

Día 26-11-62.  Hacia las 3 menos cuarto tiene aparición Loli sin que nadie lo presencie.  Sale a la calle se junta con Jacinta, las dos en éxtasis van acompañadas de pocas personas.  A las 7:30 Conchita entra en éxtasis, va a la iglesia, corre hacia alante y hacia atrás de rodillas, recorre la distancia entre la puerta y la entrada al patio de la iglesia (8 metros) su aparición dura 15 minutos.  Durante esta aparición se ha producido un hecho curioso, al volver a su casa, minutos antes de que acabara el éxtasis se dispuso a subir al piso superior, al llegar a uno de los últimos escalones tropezó con bastante fuerza y entonces espontáneamente extendió sus brazos en un movimento instintivo de defensa normal cuando uno se va a caer, dando con su mano un violento golpe a una de las puertas que se encuentran inmediatamente después de las escaleras que conducen de la cocina al piso superior.  Sin embargo al lo largo del éxtasis hubo manifestaciones de que Conchita estaba inmersa en una profunda aparición.

November 26, 1962.  At about 2:45 Loli had an apparition, but there were no witnesses.  She went out to the street where she joined Jacinta.  The two girls were in ecstasy and were accompanied by a few people.  At 7:30 Conchita entered into ecstasy, went to the Church, ran forwards and backwards on her knees, ran the distance between the door and the entrance to the patio of the Church (8 meters).  Her apparition lasted 15 minutes.  During that apparition something curious happened.  Upon returning to her house, just minutes before the ecstasy ended, she seemed ready to go upstairs, but then she fell on one of the last steps and then extended her arms spontaneously in an instinctive, defensive movement as one might do when about to fall.  While doing this, she hit her hand hard on one of the doors next to the stairs, which connect the kitchen to the upper floor.  Despite this, Conchita seemed very immersed in this apparition.

Días 27, 28, 29, y 30 de Nbre. 1962.  Se han desarrollado las apariciones normalmente, es decir, el martes 27 y miércoles 28 tuvieron aparición Conchita, Loli, y Jacinta, a si mismo, Loli tuvo todos los días menos uno Mari Cruz sigue sin nada desde el 27 o 28 de agosto de este año.  El 27 día de la Medalla Milagrosa, la aparición de las 3 videntes comenzó al terminar el rosario y duró 165 minutos.

November 27-30, 1962. The appartions happened normally, that is to say on Tuesday the 27^th and Wednesday the 28^th Conchita and Loli had apparitions  and so did Jacinta, who had one by herself.  Loli had one all of these days except one, and Mari Cruz continued without having any since August 28^th or 29^th of this year.  On the 27^th, the day of the miraculous medal, the three girls had an apparition beginning when the rosary ended and lasting 165 minutes.

December 1, 1962.  After the rosary Loli, Conchita and Jacinta fell into ecstasy together.  It lasted 90 minutes.

Día 2-12-62.  A las 5 o 6 de la mañana aunque la Virgen les había dicho que seria antes, han tenido aparición cada una en su casa, Loli y Conchita.  Hacia las 6:30 de la tarde caen en éxtasis juntas, Conchita, Loli, y Jacinta.  Terminado el éxtasis dicen que volverán a tenerlo de 12:30 a 1, al día siguiente.

December 2, 1962.  At 5 or 6 in the morning Loli and Conchita had apparitions in their houses even though the Virgin had said it would be earlier.  Around 6:30 in the afternoon Conchita, Loli and Jacinta fell into ecstasy together.  When the ecstasy ended they said that they would have another from 12:30 to 1 on the following day.

Día 3-12-62.  Jacinta cae en éxtasis a la 1.  Va a casa de Loli, esta cae en éxtasis al marcharse Jacinta.  Sale Loli a la calle, se une a Jacinta que viene a su encuentro, poco después se presenta Conchita también en éxtasis, se unen las tres.  Hoy nos hemos fijado principalmente en la maner de andar de las videntes.  Se observa una total sincronización del movimiento de sus pies.  Las 3 llevan perfectamente el paso como en un desfile militar.  Unicamente lo pierden cuando hay algún obstáculo difícil, o cuando tropiezan, pero en seguida lo recuperan.  Da la sensación incluso, de que Loli, que al parecer por tendencia natural, camina con pasos más cortos que Jacinta y Conchita, y por ser más pequeña que ellas también, hace un esfuerzo por adaptarse al paso de las otras.  Al final del éxtasis solo continuaban con la aparición Jacinta y Loli pero les acompañaba Conchita.  Se observó que mientras Jacinta y Loli conservaban un paso ritmico y perfectamente sincronizado Conchita caminaba a su aire sin terner en cuenta el ritmo marcial de las otras 2.  Siempre habíamos observado que cuando iban varias juntas Conchita ocupaba infaliblemente un puesto central.  Sin embargo, en esta última aparición Conchita ha ocupado siempre un puesto lateral.  Durante toda la aparición ha ido en el centro Jacinta, Loli a su izquierda y Conchita a la derecha.

December 3, 1962.  Jacinta fell into ecstasy at 1.  She went to Loli’s house, and Loli fell into ecstasy when Jacinta left.  Loli went out on the street and joined Jacinta who had come to find her.  A little after Conchita also appeared in ecstasy, and the three girls united.  Today we mostly noticed the way the seers walked.  There was a complete synchronization in the movement of their feet.  They stopped together exactly, like marching soldiers.  They only stop when there is a difficult obstacle in their way, or when they trip, but then they return to their rhythmic way of walking.  I think it is Loli’s natural tendency to walk with shorter steps than Jacinta and Conchita, since she is smaller than them, so she has to make an effort to meet the stride of the other girls.  At the end, only Jacinta and Loli continue having the apparition, but Conchita accompanies them.  It is observed that while Jacinta and Loli conserve a rhythmic stide that is perfectly synchronized, Conchita walks on her own without matching the rhythmic steps of the other two girls.  We had always observed that when the girls walked together, Conchita was always in the center.  In the last apparition Conchita occupied a side position.  During the whole apparition Jacinta was in the center with Loli on her left and Conchita on her right.

Día 4-12-62.  De nuevo se ha repetido el hecho extraño de que no hay aparición alguna desde la madrugada de ayer hasta el atardecer de hoy.  Después del rosario cae en éxtasis Conchita, la aparición fue como siempre.  Hacia las 9:30 cae en éxtasis Jacinta, dura 60 minutos.  Conchita ha dicho que volverá a tener aparición de 3:30 a 4 del día siguiente.

December 4, 1962.  Once again today there were no apparitions from the morning until the afternoon.  After the rosary Conchita fell into ecstasy, and the apparition was the same as always.  Around 9:30 Jacinta fell into ecstasy, which lasted 60 minutes.  Conchita said that she would have another apparition from 3:30 to four on the following day.

Día 5-12-62.  Conchita tiene aparición a las 7 menos cuarto de la mañana, le dura 15 minutos.  Hoy, cosa rara, ha dicho la Virgen a Conchita que no recibirá la comunión de manos del Angel.  La aparición normal de Jacinta fue hacia las 10:30 de la tarde.

December 5, 1962.  Conchita had an apparition at 6:45 in the morning, which lasted 15 minutes.  Today something unusual happened.  The Virgin told Conchita that she would not receive Communion from the Angel.  Jacinta’s normal apparition happened at about 10:30 in the evening.

Día 6-12-62.  Loli tiene aparición a las 4:45.  Dura 5 minutos.  Hacia las 5:30 de la mañana comienza Conchita y le dura 90 minutos.  Después de su aparición Conchita dijo cosas interesantes.  Son las siguientes:  1.  Un día, poco antes del milagro de Conchita, ocurrirá algo que traerá como consecuencia que mucha gente deje de creer en las apariciones de Garabandal.  Estas dudas no se  no se deberán a un excesivo retraso del milagro.  2.  El día del milagro de Conchita desaparecerá la nota que ella firmó en Santander asegurando que las apariciones de Garabandal son falsas.

December 6, 1962.  Loli had an apparition at 4:45.  It lasted 5 minutes.  Around 5:30 in the morning Conchita’s apparition began and it lasted 90 minutes.  After her apparition Conchita said interesting things.  They were the following:  1.  One day, a little before Conchita’s miracle, something will happen that will cause many people to doubt the apparitions of Garabandal.  These doubts will not be due to an excessive delay of the miracle.  2.  On the day of Conchita’s miracle the note that she signed in Santander saying that the apparitions were false will disappear.

Día 7-12-62.  De nuevo se ha producido el hecho de no haber aparición desde las primeras horas de ayer.

December 7, 1962.  Once again there was no apparition today.

Día 9-12-62.  En las primeras horas de la mañana tiene aparición Conchita, se graban en cinta sus palabras y al poner de nuevo la cinta para escuchar lo grabado aparece varias veces una voz extraña.  Días 10, 11, y 12 de Dbre. 1962.  Hay aparición todos los días.  Nada extraordinario.

December 9, 1962.  In the first hours of the morning Conchita had an apparition.  They recorded her words on a tape and then played it and we could hear a strange voice several times.  December 10-12, 1962.  There were apparitions all of these days.  Nothing extraordinary happened.

Día 13-12-62.  En las primeras horas de la mañana tiene Loli aparición.  Hemos de exponer algo ocurrido antes de la aparición para que se entienda bien el proceso del éxtasis.  Riéndose mucho nos contó Loli antes que en cierta ocasión, Mari Cruz le pedía al Angel que la confesara y este le dijo que no tenía tal poder.  Entonces se le dijo a Loli que la Virgen si podía confesar.  A ellas les extrañó pero al fin Loli lo creyó porque se lo aseguramos seriamente.  Además apoyamos lo que dijimos con varios argumentos que aunque falsos tienen su fuerza lógica sobre todo cuando se trata de convencer a una niña:  a)  Si la Virgen es Madre de Dios como no va a poder perdonar los pecados; b)  le hicimos ver a Loli que aunque la Virgen le perdonara pecados mortales tendría que confesarse con un sacerdote.  Pero lo mismo ocurriría si se le apareciese Jesucristo y le diera la absolución pues cabe la “posibilidad” de que las apariciones sean falsas.  Sin embargo, para Loli quedó claro que la absolución de la Virgen borraba los pecados aunque después fuera necesario ir a donde un sacerdote.  Muy contenta por lo que acababa de oír Loli dijo que se confesaría con la Virgen en la primera ocasión.  Poco después cayó en éxtasis y le pidió a la Virgen que la confesara.  La Virgen le dijo que no podía, entonces Loli quedó extrañada ya que había confiado en nuestra palabra.  La Virgen le explicó después que había sido un truco nuestro.  Durante la aparición le ha pedido Loli a la Virgen con insistencia que se le aparezca a Mari Cruz, incluso le ha dicho que la deje a ella sin aparición Conchita, Loli, y Jacinta.

December 13, 1962.  In the first hours of the morning Loli had an apparition.  I would like to tell something that happened before the apparition so that the process of the ecstasy will be better understood.  Loli was laughing a lot when she told us about a certain occasion.  Mari Cruz asked the Angel to hear her confession and the Angel said that he didn’t have that power.  Then he told Loli that the Virgin could hear confessions.  They thought this was strange but believed him since he said it seriously.  We supported several arguments, which, if they were false, were very logical especially when trying to convince a child:  a) If the Virgin is the mother of God, then why wouldn’t she be able to forgive sins; b)  We made Loli understand that even though the Virgin could forgive mortal sins, she would still have to confess them to a priest.  But the same would happen if Jesus Christ appeared and gave absolution, and there is still the possibility that the apparitions might be false.  It was clear to Loli that the absolution from the Virgin erased her sins even if it was necessary to go to a priest.  She was very happy to hear this, she said she would go to confession with the Virgin first.  A little later she fell into ecstasy and asked the Virgin if she could make her confession.  The Virgin said that she couldn’t, and Loli was confused since she trusted what we’d told her.  The Virgin explained that it was only a trick on our part.  During the apparition Loli asked the Virgin insistently to appear to Mari Cruz.  She also said that she would go without an apparition so Mari Cruz could have one.

Día 17-12-62.  Conchita, Loli, y Jacinta tuvieron aparición.  Había varias personas de Colunga, dio a besar las medallas que traían devolviéndoles a cada una la suya.  NOTA:  Hay una llamada en el día 15 y más abajo explica que en este día Conchita dijo a Mercedes Sallisach que un señor que está totalmente paralítico se curará el día del milagro, esté donde esté, también se le oyó decir a Felix que sus asuntos se le iban a arreglar pronto.  Lo oyó Felix y dice la niña que le dijo la Virgen que lo diga en alto.  Loli y Jacinta fueron a casa de Cristin a que estaba con los Sacramentos y como no podía besar el crucifijo, Jacinta hizo una cruz en la cama, había unos señores de Gijón que se impresionaron mucho por la pobreza de la casa y el cuadro que vieron, después de marcharse la niña, la enferma me conoció (don Valentín) y yo le hablé pues hasta entonces solo había recibido la  Extrema Unción y la Absolución y el médico había dicho que se moria.

December 17, 1962.  Conchita, Loli, and Jacinta had apparitions.  There were several people from Colunga.  She gave medals to be kissed and then returned them to their owners.  NOTE:  there was a call on the 15^th and on this day Conchita told Mercedes Sallisach, as noted below, that a paralyzed man will be cured on the day of the miracle, wherever he may be.  I also heard her tell Felix that his business would be arranged soon.  Felix heard this and the girl said the Virgin told her to say it loudly.  Loli and Jacinta went to Cristin’s house.  She received the last Sacraments and since she couldn’t kiss the crucifis Jacinta made a cross on her bed.  There were some men from Gijón there who were very impressed by the poverty of the house and the Cuadro, both of which they saw.  After the girl left, the sick woman recognized me (Fr. Valentín) and I talked to her until she had received Extreme Unction and Absolution.  Then the doctor said she had died.

Día 1 de agosto 1961.  Fueron a los pinos Loli y Jacinta después de misma y comulgaron después de Misa.  Comenzó la visión a las 11:16.  Rezaron una estación, la Virgen delante, fueron a dar a besar piedras, parece como si la Virgen le dijese bastante y decía Jacinta, mira nada más que esta…ya la había dado a besar unas 5.  Se ponen la corona, da a besar medallas, se quedó unos minutos más, Loli. Otra vez Loli y Jacinta en los pinos.  Comenzó a la 1:10 dijeron:  D. Valentín esta durmiendo, (era verdad) rezaron al estación, delante la Virgen, cuando estaban rezando dicen que vino la Reina de los Angeles, a traer la comida.  Decía Jacinta al niño:  Que poco comes…a la tarde vuelve.  Preguntaron por Conchita que está en Santander, que se acordaba mucho de ella, estuvo el sacerdotes de Requejo, M. Cruz estuvo en el balcon 20 minutos en éxtasis…Porque?  Si si…no sé, no sé…se rió me dijo un sacerdote que pidiese por sacerdotes y seminaristas.

August 1, 1961.  Loli and Jacinta went up to the Pines after receiving Communion at mass.  The vision began at 11:16.  They prayed a Station with the Virgin behind them, then went to give some stones to be kissed.  It seems as though the Virgin said that it was enough, and Jacinta said, “Look, just one more…”  She had already given about 5 to be kissed.  They wore the crown, gave medals to be kissed, and Loli stayed a few minutes more.   Another time Loli and Jacinta were in the Pines.  It began at 1:10 and they said:  “Fr. Valentín is sleeping (this was true).”  They prayed a Station with the Virgin behind them and when they were praying they said that the Queen of the Angels came to bring some food.  Jacinta told a little boy:  “You eat so little…come back in the afternoon.  They asked about Conchita, who is in Santander because they were thinking about her a lot.  Some priests from Requejo were there, and Mari Cruz was on the balcony in ecstasy for 20 minutes… “Why?  Yes, yes…I don’t know, I don’t know…”  She laughed, “A priest told me to pray for priests and seminarians.”

Día 9 agosto 1961.  Bajaron las niñas a la Iglesia, a las 10:20 se arrodillan, están unos momentos ante el altar mayor y luego van de espaldas hasta la puerta, hacen el recorrido por todas partes donde hubo apariciones.  Tardan en regresar media hora y luego llegaron a la Iglesia.  Comenzaron rezar rosario así, al segundo misterio quedaron derribadas hacia adelante menos M. Cruz así rezaron un misterio y luego se incorporaron las tres y siguieron rezando el rosario de rodillas.  Las 4 rezaron estación y termino.  Luego dijeron otro naturales, les pregunté que a quien habían visto y dijeron que a la Virgen del Carmen y que ya hace tres días que no ven al Angel.

August 9, 1961.  The girls went down to the Church.  At 10:20 they knelt and stayed a few minutes in front of the main altar and then they went backwards until they reached the door.  They went through all of the places where there had been apparitions.  They did this for about half an hour and then they arrived at the Church.  They began to pray the rosary like this, and during the second mystery they all fell forward except Mari Cruz, and they prayed the mystery like this.  They continued by praying the rosary on their knees.  The four girls prayed a Station and it ended.  Then they prayed another Station in the natural state and I asked them who they had seen.  They said that they’d seen Our Lady of Mount Carmel and that they hadn’t seen the Angel for three days.

Día 23 agosto 1961.  Conchita anduvo por todo el pueblo con las manos enlazadas en la nuca todo el tiempo, y rezando el rosario con la aparición en una ocasión se paró y dijo:  no que no pase eso…y al lado de su casa volvio a pararse, oscilo y dijo:  ay!  Y siguio andando, cuando acabó el rosario se paró ante su puerta dio a besar las medallas y despertó sonriendo.  M. Cruz no tuvo aparición.  Cuando yo encontré a Jacinta y Loli acababan de salir de la primera visión.  Fueron con el P. Andreu a buscar una cruz y cuando lo hacían Jacinta, quedó en éxtasis con una linterna en la mano que costó quitarle.  Cogió a Loli del vestido y se reía a andar de un sitio a otro como jugando.  Luego de forecjear mucho, lograron soltar a Loli que fue a su casa.  Jacinta quedo seria y fue hasta la puerta de la casa de Loli, quedando parada y de pie.  Dio un beso y dijo “pero ya que vino verdad?  Nada más que para darme un beso.”  Cayo al suelo y se rio.  Después se quedo seria mirando hacia arriba.  Cogió unas cosas que llevaba al cuello y las dio a besar en la palma de la mano vuelta hacia arriba.  Dijo “esto” y comenzo a desatar un rosario de las otras cosas, mientras lo sacaba dijo Ay! Después lo dejo a su lado en el suelo.  Se quitó una cadena de plata con medalla y la dejo al lado del rosario.  Dijo:  Donde está lo otro?  Cogió un 2o rosario roto y comenzó a arreglarlo con las manos, dijo:  “Ah! Ay! Y lo puso ante sus ojos, suspiro impaciente y dijo:  Pues así lo dejo…así lo dejo…”  y lo puso en el suelo aún roto.  Se toco el cuello y dijo:  “Ay!  Yo traía otro!  Tanteo un poco el suelo y cogió el primero y dijo:  Ves?  Este no está donde yo lo puse.  Efectivamente, su madre lo había cambiado de lugar.  Cogió el roto e intentó arreglarlo hasta ayudarse de la boca.  Dijo, esto no se puede arreglar, no, porque mira, y lo mostró—ay—y se rió, me parece que se arregló.  Sigue intentandolo y dice:  mirale, y lo mostro arreglado.  Dijo luego:  Ves?  Porque…donde están los otros?  Ah este creo que no…no es mío…Además que no.  Mira a ver si este es…y mostró uno.  Después dice:  este es de cera y añade.  Salen a casa de Conchita y dice Loli:  “Despierta niña, despierta, mira que ya amaneció y la Virgen está aqui porque te quiere mucho.”

August 23, 1961.  Conchita walked through the whole town with her hands folded behind her neck the whole time.  She prayed the rosary with the apparition and on one occasion she stopped and said, “Oh, don’t let that happen…”  She stopped next to her house and ocillated, saying:  “Oh!”  Then she continued walking and when she finished the rosary she stopped in front of her door and gave medals to be kissed, then awoke from the ecstasy smiling.  Mari Cruz didn’t have an apparition.  When I met Jacinta and Loli they were returning to normal from the first ecstasy.  They went with Fr. Andreu to look for a cross and when they were doing this Jacinta went into ecstasy with a lantern in her hand which was very difficult to take from her.  She grabbed Loli’s dress and laughed, walking from one place to another as though playing a game.  After the people forced her, she let go of Loli, who went home.  Jacinta became serious and went to the door of Loli’s house, where she stopped, standing up.  She gave a kiss and said:  “But why did you come now?  Just to kiss me.”  She fell to the ground and laughed.  After that she became serious while looking up.  She took one of the things that she was wearing around her neck and gave them to be kissed with her palms turned up.  She said:  “That one,” and began to untangle one of the rosaries from the other things.  While she took it she said, “Oh!”  After that, she put it on the ground at her side.  She took a silver chain with a medal and left it next to the rosary.  She said:  “Where is the other one?”  She took a second rosary that was broken and began to fix it with her hands, saying:  “Oh, oh!”  And she put it in front of her eyes, breathed impatiently and said:  “Well, I’ll leave it like this, I’ll leave it like this…”  And she put it on the ground, still broken.  She touched her neck and said:  “Oh!  I brought another!”  She looked on the ground and took the first one saying:  “See?  This isn’t where I put it.”  Her mother had moved it.  She took the broken one and tried to fix it with her mouth.  She said:  “I can’t fix this one, no, because look,” she showed us, “oh,” and she laughed.  It seemed that she’d fixed it.  She continued trying and said:  “Look,” and showed us that it was fixed.  Then she said:  “See?  Because…where are the others?  Oh, I don’t think this one…no, it’s not mine…maybe this one,” she showed one.  After that she said:  “This is made of wax.”  They left Conchita’s house and Loli said:  “Wake up, girl, wake up, look, it’s already morning and the Virgin is here because she loves you very much.”

Día 25 de agosto 1961.  A la una de la noche le dije a Conchita que decía tenía dos llamadas mira voy a esperar tres veces y si no viene la Virgen antes te vas a la cama.  Me voy vuelvo al poco tiempo (15 minutos) le digo:  es muy tarde así es que dentro de unos minutos te vas a dormir, cuando vuelva.  Me dice ella…bueno como Ud. Quiera.  Me marcho no hice más que salir y al minuto cayó en éxtasis.  Estas cosas las hacia de acuerdo cn el cura de Ribadesella y el cura asesor religioso de Instrucción pública.  Salió la niña, dio unas vueltas muy ligera, otras más despacio, rezó el rosario y terminó el éxtasis.  Vino a la Iglesia natural, a rezar otro rió y terminó el éxtasis.  Vino a la Iglesia natural, a rezar otro que le mandó, la Virgen y al empezar a la puerta de la Iglesia se puso otra vez, rezó 3 misterio, es la primera vez que en éxtasis, contesta el pueblo.  Después siguió rezando con el pueblo el resto del rosario, credo, salve y letanías.  Termino junto a su casa y salió del éxtasis a las 3.  Las otras 2 (Loli y Jacinta) salieron de casa de Ceferino una hora antes, recorren varias veces el pueblo y quedan junto a casa de Ceferino Jacinta derribada y Loli de rodillas, rezan el rosario, termina a la una.  Cuando termino le pregunte a Conchita que había dicho la Virgen de que la Iglesia estuviese cerrada…Dijo que había dicho que era mejor que estuviese abierta pero que no le dieran importancia y obedecieran siempre a D. Valentín.

August 25, 1961.  At one at night I told Conchita, who said she had two calls:  “Look, I’m going to wait three times and if the Virgin doesn’t come before then, you go to bed.”  I returned after about 15 minutes and I said to her:  “It’s very late, so you have to go to sleep in a few minutes, when I return.”  She said:  “Ok, as you wish.”  I left and within a minute of my exit she fell into ecstasy.  I was doing all of these thing in agreement with the parish priest from Ribadesella and the religious instructor.  The girl left and turned around very lightly, and made slower turns.  She prayed the rosary and then the ecstasy ended.  She went to the Church in the natural state, prayed another rosary as the Virgin had asked, and when she began to pray she fell into ecstasy again at the door of the Church.  She prayed three mysteries.  It is the first time that the village answered when she was in ecstasy.  Afteward she continued praying the rest of the rosary, the Creed, the Salve, and the litanies with the village.  She finished next to her house and the three girls left the ecstasy.  The other two girls (Loli and Jacinta) had left Ceferino’s house an hour before and ran through the village several times then stayed next to Ceferino’s house.  Jacinta fell down and Loli was on her knees.  They prayed the rosary, and it ended at 1.  When it finished I asked Conchita what the Virgin had said about the Church being closed.  She told me that the Virgin had said that it would be better open but that it didn’t matter and that they should always obey Fr. Valentín.

Día 28 agosto 1961.  Tuvo aparición M. Cruz en el balcon de su casa, comienza a las 11 noche, decía…me mandasen pedir por una niña que tiene enfermedad en la sangre, y por otra mujer ciega (la señora de D. Emilio)  Decía Conchita…si no estamos juntas no venías…y se nos olvida el secreto?  A mi no se me olvida, verdad que no?  se ríe.  También se le saltaron unas lágrimas y al terminar decía ay! Te vas?  No vuelves?  Se santigua y termina a las 11:30.  Después le pregunté, me dijo que a la Virgen del Carmen había visto y como había oído yo las cosas que dijo arriba, me dijo que si que era cierto.  Al terminar dio un beso a la visión.  Estabamos en la cocina, el padre de Loli, D. Valentín, una chica francesa de 19 años, cuyos padres no querían que se bautizase, 4 señoras, Jacinta, Loli, una hna. De Loli y yo.  A las niñas se les pidió que dijesen a la Virgen, que los padres de la francesa la dejasen bautizarse.  La madre de Jacinta dio a Loli un frasquito con agua bendita, para que se la echase a la visión, por si era el demonio, Jacinta ay! Se me escapó la Virgen…Este pa besarlo…ay! Ya perdí la Virgen…a ver si la dejan ahora bautizarse.  E iba dando las cosas para que se las besase.  Jacinta se levanta para alcanzar la aparición, y darle a besar una cosa, se sienta junto a Loli, dice:  este es de esa cría…Jacinta que no es…bien…porque ellos quieren ser…Hasta los 22 años dicen que se puede.  Esto debe referirse a que anzarse, presciendiendo de los padres.  Después Loli echó de nuevo agua bendita y las 2 de rieron y santiguaron.  Loli:  yo perdí la Virgen, una medalla, la busca por el suelo y dice:  no esta.  Loli:  Mira a ver ahora y coge una de Lourdes…esta es la que se apareció a Bernadeta. 

August 28, 1961.  Mari Cruz had an apparition in the balcony of her house.  It began at 11 at night and she said… “They told me to pray for a girl who has a blood disease, and for another woman who is blind (Mr. Emilio’s wife).”  Conchita said:  “If we weren’t together then you wouldn’t come…and if we forget the secret?  I wouldn’t forget it, would I?”  She laughed.  She cried a little and when it was ending she said:  “Oh!  You’re going?  You’re not coming back?”  She blessed herself and it ended at 11:30.  After this I asked her and she said that she saw Our Lady of Mount Carmel and since I’d heard what she was saying, she said it was true.  When it ended, she kissed the vision.  Loli’s father, a 19 year old French girl whose parents didn’t want her to be baptized, four women, Jacinta, Loli, Loli’s sister, and I were all in the kitchen.  Jacinta’s mother gave Loli a little bottle with Holy Water for her to throw at the vision to see if it was a demon.   Jacinta:  “Oh!  I lost the Virgin!  Kiss this…oh!  I lost the Virgin…let’s see if they let her be baptized.”  Then she gave things to be kissed.  Jacinta stood up so she could reach the Virgin to give her something to be kissed then sat down next to Loli saying:  “This one is from that girl…no, not Jacinta…well…because they want to be…you can until you’re 22 years old.”  I think they were talking about how parents have to give permission for baptism if their child is under 21.  After this Loli threw holy water again and the girls laughed and blessed themselves.  Loli:  “I lost the Virgin, a medal,”  and she was looking on the ground and said:  “It isn’t here.”  Loli said:  “Let’s look again,” and she took a medal from Lourdes… “This is Our Lady that appeared to Bernadette.”

Trae la otra…dijo Jacinta, contesta Loli, la perdi…pues si yo la traía aquí…desde luego la perdí.  La buscan, tantean, el suelo, al fin dice Jacinta:  la encontré y así fue…se la da a Loli y esta a besar Esta?  Besala.  Para que se la de a su padre y se convierta.  En este momento se habían levantado las 2 y Jacinta ayudo a Loli a que la aparición llegase a besar la pequeña imagen cogiendola y elevandola del suelo.  Jacinta:  Es que no ha hecho imagen cogiendola y elevandola del suelo.  Jacinta:  Es que no ha hecho la 1a comunión y ella quiere per el padre, no.  Se santiguan, levantan, dan cosas a besar, y entre ellas, de Jacinta una medalla a besar que ya estaba besada y no dicen nada en absoluto.  Loli:  se la voy a dar ahora y se levantan de la mano.  Se acercan a una señora sentada junto a la francesa, tantean, buscan un bolsillo para meter la medalla dentro.  Dice Loli:  no?  y entonces sigue hasta la francesa y dice: esta es verdad?  Y le puso la imagen dentro del bolso.  En este momento Jacinta se sienta y Loli oscila, de pie.  A las 11:30 se sienta Loli, Jacinta:  …si, iba a decir…se ríen las dos.  Jacinta:  Y…donde la Iglesia.  Loli:  Ahora y las dos a la vez.  Cuando te vayas…después añade Jacinta:  a ver si se bautiza tiene 19 años y los padres no la dejan…te vas?  Ay que pena!…Loli:  porque te vas tan luego?  Que poquitín estás…Son las 12:38, se persigna santiguan y dicen:  porque te vas tan luego?…Jacinta rie las dos silabean algo. 

“Bring the other,” said Jacinta.  Loli answered:  “I lost it…when I was bringing it here…I lost it.”  They looked for it, felt around for it on the ground and finally Jacinta said:  “I found it, it was there…”  Loli gives it to be kissed and says, “Kiss it.  I’ll give it to my father and he’ll believe.”  At that moment the two girls stood up and Jacinta helped Loli so that the apparition could reach her; she lifted the little girl high off the ground.  Jacinta:  “She still hasn’t received First Communion, and she wants to, but her father won’t let her.”  They blessed themselves, stood up, and gave things to be kissed.  Among the things was a medal that had already been kissed, but they didn’t say anything.  Loli:  “Now I’m going to give it back.”  They went near a woman who was sitting next to the French girl.  They felt around, looking for a purse so they could put the medal inside.  Loli said:  “No?”  And then she went to the French girl and said:  “Is this true?”  Then she put the medal inside her purse.  At that moment Jacint sat down and Loli oscillated on her feet.  At 11:30 Loli sat down and Jacinta said:  “Yes, I was going to say…”  And the two girls laughed.  Jacinta:  “Yes, and where the Church is.”  Loli:  “Now and both at the same time.  When you go…”  After that Jacinta added:  “I hope she can be baptized, she is 19 years old and her parents haven’t given permission…you’re going?  Oh, what a shame!”  Loli:  “Why are you going so soon?  You were here such a short time…”  At 12:38 they made the sign of the cross, blessed themselves and said:  “Why are you going so soon?”  Jacinta laughed and the two girls said something.

Jacinta:  Pues te vas…vamos a rezar una estación…Loli:  la rezamos contigo.  Se santiguan, persignan y comienzan la estación.  Rezan S. mío Jesucristo.  Jacinta dandole un codazo a Loli:  el Señor está contigo, venga…Siguen rezando, Jacinta bosteza. Se contestan una a otra.  Jacinta oscila, sentada como está, golpeando la cabeza contra la pared, al ir para atrás.  Al poco tiempo Loli hace igual.  Al final rezan un credo al S. Corazón las dos, Loli bosteza mientras se persigna dice Jacinta Te vas?  Pone las mejillas a que se las besan, da dos besos y los recibe y da otros dos.  Loli igual, siguen dando besos.  Que pena que te vayas…luego vuelve a echar agua bendita y se ríen las dos…porque dicen que es el pecado y ríen más…se santiguan y persignan…Siguen un rato con lo mismo, y besando, al final quedan normales.  Cuando les preguntamos que hacia la Virgen cuando ellas le echaban el agua bendita, nos contestaron que se reía, y que decía, al decirla ellas que lo hacían porque había quien opinaba que era el demonio:  “no lo soy, no…”  todo esto lo oyeron cuantos estábamos allí.

Jacinta:  “Well, you are going…we’re going to pray a Station.  Loli:  “We will pray with you.”  They blessed themselves, made the sign of the cross, and began the Station.  They prayed the Act of Contrition.  Jacinta hit Loli with her elbow saying:  “The Lord be with you, come…”  They continued praying and Jacinta yawned.  They alternated, one answering the other.  Jacinta oscillated, sitting as she was, and she hit her head against the wall when she tried to go backwards.  After a little while Loli did the same thing.  At the end they prayed a Creed to the Sacred Heart.  Loli yawned while she blessed herself and Jacinta said:  “You’re going?”  She placed her cheeks to receive kisses, gave two kisses, and then received two more.  Loli did the same thing, and gave kisses as well.  “What a shame, you’re leaving…”  Then they threw holy water and again, and the two girls laughed… “because they say it’s a sin,” and they laughed more…they blessed themselves and made the sign of the cross…they continued doing the same thing for awhile, after kissing, they return to the normal state.  When we asked them what the Virgin had done when they threw the Holy Water, they answered that she laughed, and asked them what they were doing.  They answered her that the people thought she was a demon.  She said:  “No, I’m not, no…”  Everyone who was there heard this. 

Día 29 agosto 1961.  Se puso en éxtasis Conchita a la 11 y le oí, preguntar, Todos los sacerdotes son Buenos?  E hizo un gesto como de admiración, luego le pregunté porque hizo ese gesto, y me dijo que no lo podía decir, y luego me añadió que la Virgen le había dicho que efectivamente no todos los sacerdotes eran buenos.  También preguntó porque no venía vestida como la Virgen del Carmen y dice le contesto, que era igual, que Ella es María, y que otro día vendría vestida distintamente…Porque dices Santa María, si tu eres María?  Y dice que le contesto que para enseñarlas a rezar.  Pregunté:  No habías dicho que si estabas sola, no te volvería a ver?  Y me contestó que cuando tuvo la 1a llamada estaba allí M. Cruz y así era.  Pero después de la 1a llamada vino la madre de M. Cruz y se la llevó.  Estuvo derribada junto a casa de Loli y hablo algo que no puede entender.  Estuvo parada junto a la puerta de Loli y dijo:  no entro porque es taberna.  Junto a la Iglesia habló del Sr. Obispo que no pude entender, estando a la puerta de su casa el hno mayor me pregunto que porque había tanto público, que si la podía meter en la casa, yo le dijo que lo que quisiese y la cogio en brazos y metió en casa, le paso como 90 kilos, dejo la puerta abierta y la niña salió otra vez.  Me dijo toco el escapulario de la Virgen que  no era ni de tela, ni de papel, ni de madera ni de metal ni de carne.  Que ella no sabe de que era, que a la portal de la Iglesia, le mando quitar un pendiente que traía y le mando abrir el escapulario que traía para  besarlo.  Termino a las 11:45.  M. Cruz estuvo en su balcon a las 12, preguntaba porque no me besas?  Hablaba de las cosas del día.  Tampoco besaste a Conchita?  Vuelves mañana?

Día 30 agosto 1961.  Salió Conchita de su casa a las 12:10 dio unas vueltas por el pueblo, junto a la puerta de la Iglesia, le oí:  yo creí que todos los jesuitas eran buenos…después habló del Obispo Decía:  Todos los sacerdotes le tienen que obedecer?  No deja venir a sacerdotes?  Yo también le tengo que obedecer?  Si yo no soy curas.  Puede mandar a toso?  Y también manda a cerrar la Iglesia?  Hizo además de coger algo, me preguntó D. Valentín si era escapulario de tela, metal, carne, etc…Hay 4 sacerdotes…tiene gafas, D. Valentín solo las usa para leer.  Termina a las 12:50.  A una hora dijo!  Ya te vas?  Haz un milagro para D. Valentín para que crea…pues a veces dice que tiene miedo que le engañemos.  Porque no traes manto marrón?  Como te llamas?  Se entera el Sr. Obispo?  Que verguenza…y si esta D. Valentín lo apunta en un papeluco.  Se fueron los sacerdotes?  Aún están (en efecto estaban).  Dio a besar medallas que llevaba.  Dijo la Virgen que era María, pero que ella dijeron la Virgen del Carmen.

August 30, 1961.  Conchita left her house at 12:10 and went around the village.  Near the door of the Church I heard:  “I thought that all Jesuits were good…”  Then she spoke of the Bishop saying:  “All of the priests have to obey him?  He would not let the priests come?  I have to obey him as well?  But I am not a priest.  Can he order everyone around?  And he could also order the Church to be closed?”  She motioned like she was taking something. “ Fr. Valentín asked me if the scapular was of thread, metal, leather, etc…There are four priests…he has glasses, but Fr. Valentín only uses them to read.”  It ended at 12:50.  “An hour, you say!  You’re going already?  Perform a miracle so that Fr. Valentín will believe…well, sometimes he is afraid that we’re tricking him.  Why aren’t you wearing a brown mantle?  What is your name?  Does the Bishop know?  What a shame…Fr. Valentín takes this down in his notebook.  The priests left?  They are still here (and they were).”  She gave some medals that she carried to be kissed.  The Virgin said that she was Mary, but that she should say Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

Día 31 de agosto 1961.  Estando Loli y Jacinta en éxtasis le dije a Conchita que no lo estaba que les preguntase si la Virgen estaba en cuerpo y alma en la aparición y contestó Loli que no, y le mande que preguntara como estaba, y contesto Loli que como en una nube y que sabía explicarlo bien.  Le mande preguntar como se llamaban los padres de la Virgen, dijeron JOAQUIN Y ANA, también que como se llamaba ella, dijeron que MARIA, que es esposa de San José, y también que si podían venir sacerdotes, dijo:  que si, pero qu si el Sr. Obispo no quiere entonces hay que obedecer.  Que si es necesario que este el párroco, contesto que es mejor que esté, pero que puede no estar.  Preguntaron a la Virgen si le molestaba que le hiciesen preguntasen cosas, dijo que de esta clase si, de cosas de Iglesia, pero no de cosas como la otra vez.  Levantaron a Conchita varias veces para que la besara como lo veces y decía esta:  ahora, y así hasta 4 veces.  No puede preguntar más, pues terminó.  Esta pasó un sábado, que yo estaba en Cosío por la noche, parece que el público aquel día solo pregunto tonterias…y fue cuando la Virgen dijo que preguntasen coasas de la Iglesia.  Si Conchita preguntaba de palabra no lo oían las del éxtasis, tenía que ser mentalmente y lo mismo pasó el sábado anterior, cuando Jacinta salió del éxtasis y Loli siguió en él y Jacinta le preguntaba mentalmente.  Jugaron a 1 escandite con la Virgen.

August 31, 1961.  Loli and Jacinta were in ecstasy and I told Conchita who was normal to ask if the Virgin was there in body and soul in the apparition.  Loli answered no, and I asked Conchita to ask how she was.  Loli answered that it was like a cloud and that she could not explain it well.  I told Conchita to ask for the names of the Virgin’s parents and they said Joachim and Ann.  I also asked her what the Virgin’s name was and they said it was Mary, who was St. Joseph’s wife.  I asked if priests were allowed to come and she said yes, but if the Bishop doesn’t want them to then they should obey.  I asked if it was necessary for the parish priest to be there and they answered that it would be better if he were there, but if he couldn’t, that was ok.  They asked the Virgin if these questions annoyed her.  She answered that kind of question did, but that she didn’t mind questions pertaining to the Church.  They lifted Conchita several times so that the Virgin could kiss her and said this:  “Now, and like this” Four times.  I couldn’t ask anything more, because it ended.  This happened on a Saturday, and I went to Cosío for the night.  It seemed that day that the people only wanted to ask foolish things…and this was when the Virgin said that they should ask things about the Church.  If Conchita asked using words, then the other girls who were in ecstasy couldn’t hear her.  She had to ask mentally and the same thing had happened the Saturday before, when Jacinta left the ecstasy and Loli continued in it; Jacinta asked questions mentally.  They played hide and seek with the Virgin…

Día 4 de septiembre 1961.  Se pusieron en éxtasis a las 8:30 cuando una señora le pedía unos rosarios que ella les había dejado y como era algo tarde quería irse.  Total que no se los dieron, Estuvieron por el pueblo, de rodillas derribadas a la puerta de la Iglesia.  Se acercaron a la puerta más y decían:  te tenemos que rezar el rosario?  En la Iglesia?  Si no nos abre D. Valentín?  Que hay que obedecer?  Porque no la abres tu?  Se termina el éxtasis a las 7:30.  Vino el P. Andreu a las 11 estaban en éxtasis, a una hora fueron cogiendo las manos de todos los presentes y hacían una cruz en la mano por fuera.  Después jugaron al escondite como la víspera.  Salieron del éxtasis y volvieron a las 2.  Cantaron rosarios, la visión delante, pues cantaban una sola parte, cantaban una Ave María en casa donde se vive, subiendo escaleras, rezaron rosarios comenzandolo en la Iglesia y terminando en la puerta de la misma y de allí siguieron la letanía, credo, y salve, al final terminaron, eran las 3, Dicen que rezaba el Padre Luís delante.  Comulgaron y estuvieron en Misa.

September 4, 1961.  They went into ecstasy at 8:30 when a woman asked her for some rosaries that she’d left; it was late so she wanted to leave.  In the end, they would not return them to her. They were in the village, on their knees at the door of the Church.  They went closer to the door and said:  “We have to pray the rosary?  In the Church?  And if Fr. Valentín won’t open it for us?  Then we have to obey?  Why don’t you open it?”  The ecstasy ended at 7:30.  Fr. Andreu came at 11 when they were in ecstasy, and for an hour they held the hands of the people around them and made the sign of the cross on the outsides of the hands.  They prayed hide and seek as on the previous day.  They left the ecstasy, then returned to it at 2.  They sang rosaries with the vision in front of them.  They only sang part of it; they sang a Hail Mary in front of each of the houses.  They went upstairs, prayed rosaries beginning at the Church and finished them at the Church door.  They continued praying the litany, the creed, the Salve, and they finally finished at 3.  They said that Fr. Luis prayed in front of them too.  They received Communion and went to mass.

Día 6 septiembre 1961.  Salió Loli de su casa, a las 9:30 fue a casa de Conchita y estuvo 14 minutos, estaba está natural, que si la Virgen se reía o lloraba?  Loli:  Lo que dijiste!!  Buena la has hecho…Conchita dijo que le pidiesen perdon.  Loli:  si te perdona…Conchita:  Que gusto!…Loli:  Ay!  Conchita que lo has vuelto a decir!…Y volvio Conchita a pedir perdon (por lo visto no se había dado cuenta).  De esto deduzco, que han visto otras veces llorar a la Virgen pues si no Conchita no habría preguntado si se reía o lloraba.  A mi siempre que les he preguntado, me dicen si esta seria o se ríe, pero nunca que ha llorado.  Le pregunto otra vez que si la perdonaba y se lo dijo a Conchita, pero al oído.  M. Cruz:  La Virgen no quiere que se hable al oído.  Loli:  me lo ha mandado ella.  Jacinta estaba enferma en cama, estuvo 2 horas en éxtasis, su madre le dio medallas y rosario, estando en ese estado, eran de M. Luisa Huidobro, una era de nacar tenía grabado un crucifijo, al al acto no se podía distinguir y dijo Jacinta:  Quien me dio esto?  Ah!  Una hija de D. Emilio?  …Pero como es una si son tres?  Y era que venían dos amigos de la higa de D. Emilio y habían dicho que eran 3 hijas.  Al tocar el cristo, dijo:  Y esto que es, si esta medalla no es nada?  Ah—Un santo crucifijo!  Cuando Loli volvió a casa de Jacinta, le pregunto:  No voy a ver yo a la Virgen y Loli dijo: si, mañana.  Esto eran las 9 y Jacinta comenzó a las 12:30.  Cuando Loli estuvo en casa de Conchita, le mande a Conchita preguntase a Loli, que entre los santos, Juan, Antonio, Pedro, José y Luís, cual era, el que má veneración tenía…Y contestó:  San José.  Añadimos la pregunta…y entre todos los santos de una Iglesia?…El patron?

September 6, 1961.  Loli left her house at 9:30 and went to Conchita’s house where she stayed for 14 minutes.  Conchita was in the normal state and wanted to know if the Virgin was laughing or crying?  Loli:  “What did you tell us!  Good, you have made it…Conchita said to ask for forgiveness.”  Loli:  “She forgives you…”  Conchita:  “Oh, good!  Loli:  “Oh!  Conchita, you said it again…”  And Conchita asked for forgiveness again (it seemed she didn’t mean it).  From what they say it seems that they have seen the Virgin weep before or Conchita wouldn’t have asked her whether she was laughing or crying.  They always ask if she is serious or crying, but she has never cried.  Conchita asks again if the Virgin will forgive her and she answers Conchita in her ear.  Mari Cruz:  “The Virgin doesn’t want you to whisper it in her ear.”  Loli:  “She told me to.”  Jacinta was sick in bed and she had an ecstasy for 2 hours.  Her mother gave her medals and a rosary while she was in ecstasy.  They belonged to María Luisa Huidobro; it was made of nácar and a crucifix was drawn on it, but the crucifix wasn’t distinguishable at first sight.  Jacinta said:  “Who gave me this?  Mr. Emilio’s daughter?  But there are three of them?”  She said this because two friends of Mr. Emilio’s daughter came and they had said they were sisters.  When she touched the crucifix she said:  “And what is this, this medal does not have anything?  Oh, a holy crucifix!”  When Loli returned to Jacinta’s house Jacinta asked:  “I’m not going to see the Virgin?”  Loli said:  “Yes, tomorrow.”  This was at 9 and Jacinta began her ecstasy at 12:30.  When Loli was in Conchita’s house she told Conchita to ask Loli between Sts. John, Anthony, Peter, Joseph, and Louis, whom did she like the most?  She answered:  “St. Joseph.”  We added the question,  whom did she like among all the saints of the Church?  The patron?  (Publisher’s note: St. Joseph is the Patron of the Universal Church.)

Que era mejor rezar, un rosario o una estación, en la calle o en casa.  Contestaron:  El rosario en casa y la estación en la Iglesia.  Que era lo mejor en la Iglesia.  Res.  El Santísimo.  Conchita:  Dice D. Valentín, no se no se que es esto… (y luego me dijo que ante esto la Virgen se rio).  Le pregunte también que le preguntase a la Virgen que quería con esto, y me dijo:  que el 18 de octubre lo veríamos.  Estando en casa de Ceferino, Loli y Jacinta, seguían a D. Emilio y le tocaban y se reían, y al final le sacaron cogiendole del brazo y hasta la calle, Loli abrio la puerta.  Duro 14 minutos.  Jacinta a la Virgen:  Dale paciencia a mi abuelo, sobre todo este mes que le tiene que cuidar mi madre, estuvieron de puerta en puerta  cantando rosarios, luego se les pasó.  Dieron a besar cristos a todos y subían donde había enfermos o ancianos, terminó a las 3.  Jacinta estuvo en la cama 150 minutos.  Empezó a las 11:30 decía:  ah—te pido que sanes a esa monja, para que crean de Santander y sobre todo Piñal, y como esa otra que fue andando a Cosío…

Esta estuvo enferma del vientre aquí y cuando le dieron a besar el cristo dice que notó mejoría.  A la de Santander, Sánala, sánala, si le conviene, que no lleva cura.  Lo repitió mucho, y sana a esa de Madrid, que sanes a la de Bilbao…que le dieron con una piedra y casi se le ven los sesos y que me dieron un retrato de ella y no me había acordado…pero sobre todo a la de Santander, a la cría que viene aquí, que no se ponga nerviosa.  Te vas?  Ah que luego te vas…Que penas que te vas…espera un poquitín, que te voy a decir una cosa y se ría…no era nada era para que no te fueras…no no tengo sueño, como estuve todo el día acostada…que risa…me rió porque dijo Sabador (esto lo dijo Andrea, sin estar en éxtasis la niña).  Sabes que mi papa y mi mama riñeron esta mañana?  Y verdad que por eso no deben reñir?  Y ella no debe contestarle verdad que no?…

Día 8 septiembre 1961.  Salió Loli de su casa, 7:30 fue a casa de Conchita, yo le mande preguntar porque pasan estas cosas siempre de noche y dice que la Virgen se puso seria, desde allí fue a casa de Jacinta allí estaban un rato, volvió a su casa y termino.  Salen otra vez las 3 a la 1:30 rezan el rosario por las calles un misterio en casa de Conchita, luego otro, ellas solo rezaban una parte, luego fueron rezando por las calles.  Termina a las 2:45.

Día 9 septiembre 1961.  A las 11:30 de la noche llega Loli a casa de Conchita que estaba normal le mando preguntar, Conchita a Loli:  Qué nación del mundo cumple mejor el mandato y otras cosas que están en la página 43 del informe grande en el día 7-9-61.  A las 12:30 Jacinta se pone en éxtasis y esta unos minutos así y decía:  no me dejan…no puedo…(parece que se refería a que llevaba dos días en cama y sus padres no la dejaban salir).  Se puso en pie y salió, vino a llamar a casa de Loli a Conchita también varias veces, como no le contestaban volvió a casa de Loli, uno del pueblo llamo a Conchita y esta salió y se puso en éxtasis y salieron las 3 por el pueblo, se cambiaron de vestido y volvieron con otros más largo; dicen las familias que buscaron los vestidos en éxtasis, le oí a Conchita decir:  Siempre debíamos traer los vestidos así de largos:  …sobre todo al venir a verte a ti.  Luego jugaron al escandite, Loli y Conchita entraron y salieron así 3 veces, Jacinta estuvo así sin interrupción hasta las 3 de la madrugada.  Vino un señor mayor y por el camino decía que era cuento, según me afirmaban personas serias, total que cuando las vio se desmayó y estuvo así 15 minutos, hasta que poco a poco se fue recuperando.

A las 6 y media de la tarde, fueron Mari Cruz y Loli al sitio llamado del Cuadro, donde después de rezar unos padre nuestros, se pusieron en éxtasis, fueron hacia la iglesia, y allí estuvieron como un minuto, dando a besar medallas que le habían entregado.  Después fueron hacia casa de Mari Cruz y allí cogió un crucifijo y le dio a besar a los que estaban en la casa.  Seguidamente fueron a casa de Conchita y dieron a besar el crucifijo a todos los que estaban allí, menos a una señora.  Salieron de la casa y regresaron inmediatamente a darle de besar a la señora que faltaba de hacerlo.  Terminó a las 8:30. 

At 6:30 in the afternoon Mari Cruz and Loli went to the place called the Cuadro where after praying some Our Fathers they fell into ecstasy and went toward the Church.  They were there for about a minute, giving medals to be kissed that people had brought.  Afterward they went toward Mari Cruz’s house and took a crucifix and gave it to be kissed to those who were in the house.  Following that, they went to Conchita’s house and gave the crucifix to be kissed to everyone who was there, except for one woman.  They left the house and returned immediately to give the crucifix to the woman they’d left out.  It ended at 8:30.

Conchita entró en éxtasis en su casa a las 6:30 de la tarde, salió hacia la iglesia, donde le dio a besar a la visión medallas y rosarios que le habían entregado, devolviéndolo a su dueño sin equivocarse en el mismo estado.  Terminó a las 8:20.

Conchita entered into ecstasy in her house at 6:30 in the afternoon.  She left, going toward the Church where she gave the vision medals and rosaries to kiss that people had given her.  She returned them to their owners without making a mistake, still in this state.  It ended at 8:20.

Segunda aparición de María Loli, según me informaron, pues yo estaba en la cama, fue a las 2 de la mañana, y terminó a las 2:30.  Anteriormente en estado natural, le habían dicho a la niña, que había allí un pintor llamado Sa Calderon, que quería pintar a la Virgen.  Después en la visión decia la niña:  hay aquí un pintor que te quiere pintar, pero con lo guapísima que tu eres, que fea te va a sacar!

María Loli’s second apparition was at 2 in the morning and ended at 2:30, I’m told since I was in bed.  Before this, when she was still in the natural state, I’d told her that there was a painter named Sa Calderon, who wanted to paint the Virgin.  After this, in the vision, the girl said:  “There is a painter here who wants to paint you, but you’re so beautiful that anything he could do would be ugly in comparision!”

28-enero-1962.. A las 7 de la tarde salió en éxtasis de su casa María Loli.  Fue a la iglesia, allí dio a besar rosario y medallas a la visión, desde allí fue a casa de Conchita y volvió hacia la iglesia, al poco tiempo sale Conchita de su casa en ese estado, se encuentra con María Loli a la entrada de la iglesia, hablan un poco entre si, va Conchita hacia la puerta de la iglesia, está allí como un minuto, vuelve Conchita y coge a María Loli del brazo y salen juntas cantando el rosario por todo el pueblo, fueron a casa de Antonio y dijo Jacinta que estaba en estado natural; que aproveche pues estaban cenando y entonces dijo Conchita que estaba en éxtasis:  Cómo dices que aproveche?  Se lo dijo a Antonio y a Matilde que están cenando.  Entonces dijo Conchita:  Están cenando en mi casa?  No están en su casa, Jacinta que estaban en estado natural.

January 28, 1962.  At 7 in the afternoon María Loli left her house in ecstasy.  She went to the Church and gave rosaries and medals to the vision to kiss there.  From there, she went to Conchita’s house then went back toward the Church.  After a little while Conchita left the house in this state and encountered María Loli at the entrance of the Church.  They talked between themselves a little bit and then Conchita went toward the door of the Church and stayed there a minute.  Conchita returned and took María Loli by the arm.  The two girls left together singing the rosary throughout the whole village.  They went to Antonio’s house where Jacinta was in the natural state.  “Come on and take advantage, we’re eating.”  Then Conchita said that she was in ecstasy:  “Why do you say take advantage?”  She said this to Antonio and Matilde, who were eating.  Then Conchita said:  “They are eating in my house?”  Jacinta, who was in a natural state, said:  “They’re not in your house.”

Mari Cruz salió de su casa en éxtasis a las 9:20 fue hacia al Cuadro y desde allí hacia la iglesia, donde dio a besar a la visión las medallas y objetos que llevaba, volvió a su casa y terminó a las 9:50 después de andar por todo el pueblo.

Mari Cruz left her house in ecstasy at 9:20 and went toward the Cuadro.  From there she went toward the Church where she gave medals and objects she was carrying to the Virgin to kiss.  She returned home and the ecstasy ended at 9:50 after she’d walked through the whole village.

29-enero-1962. María Loli y Conchita, se pusieron en éxtasis a las 7:20 de la tarde y estuvieron por el pueblo dando a besar el Crucifijo, subieron dos veces a los Pinos y fueron a casa de Mari Cruz, que estaba en la cama y le cantaron.  Terminó a las 9:30.

January 29, 1962. María Loli and Conchita went into ecstasy at 7:20 in the afternoon and they went through the village giving the Crucifix to be kissed.  They went up to the Pines twice, then went to Mari Cruz’s house.  Mari Cruz was in bed and they sang to her.  It ended at 9:30.

30-enero 1962. Conchita y María Dolores, sobre las 7:30 de la tarde, quedaron en éxtasis, subieron al Cuadro, rezando unos padre nuestros, bajaron al pueblo, visitaron varias casas dando a besar la Cruz a cuantos se hallaban presentes, terminó como a las 8:20.  A las 12 de la noche aproximadamente, tuvo otra aparición María Dolores en su casa, duró como 10 minutos.

January 30, 1962. Conchita and María Dolores went into ecstasy at about 7:30 in the afternoon.  They went up to the Cuadro praying some Our Fathers.  They descended into the village and visited several houses, giving the cross to kiss to those who were present.  It ended at 8:20.  At approximately 12 at night María Dolores had another apparition in her house.  It lasted about 10 minutes.

31-enero-1962. A las 8 de la mañana, Conchita fue al Cuadro, para rezar el rosario y durante él quedó en éxtasis y bajó para el pueblo, y al pasar por la fuente cayó hacia atrás, pegando en el suelo fuertamente, todos los allí presentes esperaban se hubiera hecho daño, sin embargo, al terminar dice su madre que la miró, que no se le conocía nada.  Cesó el éxtasis como a las 9:05.

January 31, 1962. At 8 in the morning Conchita went to the Cuadro to pray the rosary, and while she was praying she fell into ecstasy and went through the village.  When she passed the fountain she fell backwards, hitting her head hard on the ground.  Everyone who was there was sure that she’d hurt herself.  When the ecstasy finished her mother looked at it and said that nothing was there.  The ecstasy ended at 9:05.

Sobre las 8 de la tarde, quedaron en éxtasis María Dolores y Conchita, en la calle y estuvieron dando a besar unas estampas, cuyas estampas a algunas personas se las daban.  Terminó a las 9.

About 8 in the afternoon María Dolores and Conchita fell into ecstasy in the road and they gave Holy Cards to be kissed, which belonged to some people who had given them to the girls.  It ended at 9.

30-enero-1962. Conchita y María Dolores sobre las 19:20 horas quedaron en éxtasis, estuvieron en el Cuadro rezando, después visitaron a las casas y enfermos dando a besar la Cruz así como a cuantos se hallaban presentes, a las 0 horas aproximadamente María Dolores volvió a tener aparición duró vario rato, después según dicen esperaba tener a las 4 horas de la madrugada pero no tuvo aparición.

January 30, 1962. Conchita and María Dolores fell into ecstasy at 19:20.  They were in the Cuadro praying and after that they visited houses of sick people and gave them the cross to kiss along with everyone else who was there.  At approximately 0 hours María Dolores had an apparition that lasted a little while.  After this they said that she would have another one at four in the morning but she didn’t.

31-enero-1962. A las 8 de la mañana Conchita fue al cuadro o sea a la calleja para rezar el Santísimo rosario quedando en éxtasis y bajo para el pueblo y al pasar por la fuente cayó hacia atrás pegándose en el suelo fuertamente dándose con la cabeza; los allí presentes esperaban se hubiera hecho daño sin embargo al termino dice su madre que la miraron y no tenía ni siquiera un chichón, también dijo su madre qu en éxtasis se fue a un cuarto que lo dedican para guardar chacina que se fue a un cajón que allí tenían y decía Conchita a la Virgen “aquí” y entonces sacó de él unas cuantas estampas que guardaba y las dio a besar a la Virgen y llevó a varias casas tres de ellas dio a besar a varios la Cruz, después se santiguó en la puerta de la Iglesia y cesó el éxtasis sobre las 9:05 horas.

January 31, 1962. At 8 in the morning Conchita went to the Cuadro or Calleja to pray the Holy Rosary and fell into ecstasy.  She went down through the village and passed by the fountain.  She fell backwards and hit her head hard on the ground.  Those present thought she’d hurt herself, but after the ecstasy her mother looked at it and she didn’t even have a bump.  Her mother also said that while she was in ecstasy she went into a room and pointed out a drawer, and Conchita said “here” to the Virgin.  Then she took some Holy Cards that were there and gave them to the Virgin to kiss.  She took three of them to several houses and presented the crucifix to be kissed.  After she blessed herself in the door of the Church and the apparition ended at 9:05.

Después del Santísimo rosario en la Iglesia salieron en inmediatemente Cruz quedó en éxtasis fue a casa y cogió unas estampas para darlas a besar después cogió el Crucifijo lo daba a besar a la Virgen y después a la persona asignada, al Brigada que suscribe también lo hizo; antes de dármelo a besar se lo daba a besar a la Virgen y acto seguido me lo dio a besar así lo hizo este día con todos los presentes una cosa bonita y por primera vez que por demás no viera que existiera gozando todos los allí presentes de este regalo de la Virgen.

After the holy rosary in the Church Mari Cruz left immediately and fell into ecstasy.  She went to her house and took some Holy  Cards so that she could give them to be kissed.  Then she got a Crucifix and gave it to the Virgin to kiss.  After that she also gave me the crucifix to kiss.  Before she gave it to me to kiss she gave it to the Virgin to kiss, then to me, then to all of the people who were there.  It was a beautiful thing and for the first time everyone enjoyed this beautiful gift from the Virgin.

Después anduvo por el pueblo dando a besar a varias casas la cruz y fue a casa del abuelito de Jacinta a darle a besar la Cruz a rezar con él cosa que lo hizo por espacio de un cuarto de hora le prometió que le besaría siempre; regresó a casa y terminó la aparición.

After this she walked through the village giving the cross to be kissed at several houses.  She went to Jacinta’s grandfather’s house to give him the cross to kiss and she prayed with him for about 15 minutes and promised him that she would kiss it often.  She returned to her house and the apparition ended.

Sobre las 20:20 horas también quedó en éxtasis María Dolores y Conchita en la calle y enseguida fueron a ponerse la blusa a sus casas y después estuvieron por la calle dando a besar unas estampas y al mismo tiempo se la daban a los que les parecía, al Brigada que suscribe le dio una estampa del Niño Jesús después de darla a besar a la Virgen, después también me dio una estampa del Corazón de Jesús del Tibidabo de Barcelona.  Conchita en la misma forma, por la calle iba hablando o sea contándole a la Virgen que se quemó un poco el monte bajo y que ella había participado en ello y se echaba a reír cuando en el preciso momento le decía la Jacinta dale una estampa al Brigada.

At 20:20 María Dolores also fell into ecstasy and Conchita was in the street.  Right away they went to put on blouses in their houses.  After that they were in the street, giving Holy Cards to be kissed at the same time, then giving them to the people the Virgin told them to.  She gave me a card with the child Jesus on it and then held it up for the Virgin to kiss.  She also gave me a card of the Sacred Heart of Jesus from Tibidabo of Barcelona.  Conchita was the same way, and was on the street talking or telling the Virgin about one of the hills that burned a little and she helped put the fire out.  She started to laugh when at that moment Jacinta said to give me a card.

Después fueron a casa de un abuelito de Jacinta para darle la Cruz a besar y rezar junto a él sin poderlo lograr por espacio de una hora y allí mismo volvieron en si y se sentaron en la cama y le decían porque no lo quería besar si lo besaba la Virgen le podía volver la vista y el abuelito decía paque quiero yo la vista.

After that she went to Jacinta’s grandfather’s house to give him the cross to kiss and to pray with him.  They tried for an hour without succeeding and they came out of ecstasy there.  They sat on the bed and asked him why he didn’t want to kiss the crucifix if the Virgin kissed it and the grandfather answered:  “Why do I want to see again?”

Una de las dos medallas donadas por el Pintor Calderon a los niños a besar María Dolores las dio a besar a la Virgen y le dijo:  “que fea te han puesto tan guapa como tu eras.”

One of the two medals donated by Calderon (the painter) was given to the children to kiss.  Mari Cruz gave them to the Virgin to kiss and said:  “You look ugly here compared to how beautiful you really are.”

Día 1-febrero-1962. Tuvo éxtasis solamente María Loli, tres veces; una a las 5 de la tarde, otra a las 7 y otra a las 12, en todas estas apariciones, según me informaron estuvo por el pueblo, dando a besar el crucifijo, y duraron cada uno, como unos 25 minutos.

February 1, 1962. Mari Cruz had three ectasíes alone:  one at 5 in the afternoon, one at 7, and another at 12.  They told me that in all of these apparitions she gave the crucifix to be kissed and each ecstasy lasted 25 minutes.

2-febrero-1962. Salieron Mari Cruz y Loli hacia las 7 de la tarde, anduvieron por el pueblo dando a besar el crucifijo, fueron al cuadro a los pinos, estuvieron como una hora.  Después a las 11 de la noche y a las 2:30 de la madrugada, salió María Loli sola, le dieron en una casa un juguete que representaba al demonio y lo tiró y después le dieron un juguete que representaba al Angel de la Guarda y lo cogió y lo llevó por todo el pueblo.

February 2, 1962. Mari Cruz and Loli left around 7 in the afternoon and walked through the town giving the crucifix to be kissed.  They went to the Pines and were there for about an hour.  Afterward at 11 at night and at 2:30 in the morning María Loli left alone and they gave her a toy in the house that represented the Devil.  Then they gave her a toy representing the Guardian Angel and she took it and carried it throughout the whole village.

3-febrero-1962. Salieron Conchita y Loli a la 1 y media de la tarde hacia el Cuadro y allí se puso en éxtasis María Loli y desde allí subieron a los Pinos, donde se le quitó, duro como media hora.

February 3, 1962. Conchita and Loli left at 1:30 in the afternoon and went toward the Cuadro.  María Loli fell into ecstasy and from there they went up to the Pines.  The ecstasy left them there.  It lasted about half an hour.

A las 6 de la tarde, Conchita se puso en éxtasis en el pueblo.  Fue al Cuadro, volvió de espaldas hasta casa, visitó unas casas, dando a besar el Crucifijo, le dio una señora una medalla por medio de otra tercera persona y se la devolvió a la dueña, aunque le dijo que no era suya, que era de su madre y así era.

At 6 in the afternoon Conchita fell into ecstasy in the village.  She went to the Cuadro, and returned walking backwards until she reached her house.  She visited some houses and gave the Crucifix to be kissed.  She gave a woman a medal through a third party and she returned it to the owner, even though she said it wasn’t hers, that it was her mother’s, which was true.

Mari Cruz estaba en casa de una tía con un niño en el brazo, a las 5:30 de la tarde y se quedó en éxtasis con el niño en el brazo y fue a la puerta de la iglesia, varias personas quisieron quitarle el niño y se le quitó.

Mari Cruz was in her aunt’s house with a child in her arms, when she fell into ecstasy at 5:30 in the afternoon.  She went to the door of the Church.  Several people wanted to take the child out of her arms, and they did.

Después salió de espaldas hasta el Cuadro y volvió hacia la iglesia donde se le quitó el éxtasis.  Serían las 6:30.

After this she left and walked to the Cuadro backwards, then returned toward the Church where the ecstasy left her.  It was 6:30.

A las 7 de la tarde, salió en éxtasis de su casa María Loli.  Fue hacia el Cuadro, desde allí volvió hacia la iglesia, dio a besar a la visión varios objetos que le entregaba la gente y se le quitó a las 7:30.

At 7 in the afternoon María Loli left her house in ecstasy.  She went toward the Cuadro and from there she returned until she reached the Church, where she gave the vision various things to kiss that the people had given her.  It ended at 7:30.

4-febrero-1962. Salió Mari Cruz en éxtasis de su casa a las 6:40 de la tarde, fue hacia la iglesia, dio a besar rosario y medallas a la visión que le entregaba el público, volvió a casa cogió el Crucifijo y me le dio a besar bajo y se le dio a besar al público, fue por el pueblo, subió al Cuadro y allí se le quitó, eran las 7:30.

February 4, 1962. Mari Cruz left her house in ecstasy at 6:40 in the afternoon and went toward the Church.  She gave the rosary and medals that the people had given her to the vision to kiss.  She returned to her house and took the crucifix.  She gave it to me to kiss and went down and gave it to the people to kiss.  She walked through the village, and went up to the Cuadro where the ecstasy left her at 7:30.

Conchita, a las 6:50 de la tarde, se puso en éxtasis, fue hacia la iglesia, se cayó junto a casa de Piedad, volvió a casa, cogió el botijo del agua, fue a la fuente, le llenó y volvió a casa, se lavó, quitó el abrigo y puso la gabardina, cogió el Crucifijo, se le dio a besar al público, subió al Cuadro y volvió de espalda hacia el pueblo, donde se le quitó a las 8.

Conchita fell into ecstasy at 6:40 in the afternoon.  She went toward the Church and fell next to Piedad’s house.  She returned to her house, took a bottle of water, went to the fountain and filled it up, then returned to her house where she washed, took off her coat, and put on a rain coat.  She took the Crucifix and gave it to the people to kiss.  She went up to the Cuadro and returned facing backwards toward the village.  The ecstasy left her at 8.

María Loli, salió a las 7:15 fue al Cuadro, allí se encontró con Conchita y bajaron las dos juntas unos metros, separándose después.  Anduvo por el pueblo, dio a besar el Crucifijo, y se le quitó a las 8:20. 

María Loli left at 7:15 and went to the Cuadro, where she met Conchita.  The two girls descended a few meters together and then separated.  She walked through the village, gave the crucifix to kiss, and then the apparition left her at 8:20.

A las 10:30 de la noche, se puso en éxtasis en su casa, fue a varias casas, dando a besar el Crucifijo, después dio varias carreras por el pueblo, se le quitó a las 10:50.

At 10:30 at night she went into ecstasy in her house, went to several houses and gave the crucifix to be kissed.  After this she raced through the village several times until the apparition left her at 10:50.

5-febrero-1962. Como a las 8:45 de la tarde, salió María Loli en éxtasis de su casa, fue hacia los Pinos, subiendo por lo más dificil, no guardando el camino, subiendo fácilment sin caerse, cuando el resto del público subía casi a gatas agarrándose a los brezos del campo para no caerse, esta operación la hizo tres veces, terminó la visión a las 10.

February 5, 1962. At about 8:45 in the afternoon María Loli left her house in ecstasy and went toward the Pines, going up the most difficult way, and not taking the path.  She went up easily and without falling.  When the rest of the people went up they held on to the branches so they wouldn’t fall.  She did this three times.  The vision ended at 10.

6-febrero-1962. A las 6:30 de la tarde, fueron Conchita y Mari Cruz, acompañadas de una niña pequeña y al llegar al sitio del Cuadro, se pusieron en éxtasis, la niña bajó a avisar y duró como 45 minutos.

February 6, 1962. At 6:30 in the afternoon Conchita and Mari Cruz went to the Cuadro accompanied by a small girl.  When they arrived, they fell into ecstasy and the girl came down to warn us.  It lasted 45 minutes.

María Loli salió de su casa en éxtasis a las 7:30 fue a los Pinos dos veces, estuvo por el pueblo, dando a besar el Crucifijo, y entró en varias casas en este estado, terminó la visión a las 8.

María Loli left her house in ecstasy at 7:30 and went to the Pines twice.  She went through the village giving the crucifix to be kissed.  She entered into various houses in this state and the vision ended at 8.

7-febrero-1962. María Loli dijo a sus padres que tendría visión a las 3 de la mañana, no se quiso acostar, estuvo jugando con las muñecas y a esa hora se puso a rezar (y al segundo misterio, Conchita) una Estación y se quedó en éxtasis.

February 7, 1962. María Loli told her parents that she would have a vision at three in the morning, so she didn’t want to go to bed.  She played with her dolls until that hour and then she started to pray (and at the second mystery Conchita too) a Station and then she fell into ecstasy.

A las 8 de la tarde, fueron Conchita y Mari Cruz, hacia el Cuadro, inmediatamente, se puso a rezar y al segundo misterio, Conchita se quedó en éxtasis, rezaban muy despacio y bien.  Contestaban Mari Cruz y otras niñas, Conchita este día habló mucho, pero a mi juicio cosas sin importancia.  Dio a besar a la visión medallas y estampas, duró la visión 45 minutos.

At 8 in the evening Conchita and Mari Cruz went toward the Cuadro.  They began to pray immediately and at the second mystery Conchita fell into ecstasy.  They prayed very slowly and very well.  Mari Cruz and the other girls answered.  Conchita talked a lot that day, in my judgment, about things that were unimportant.  She gave the vision medals and holy cards to kiss.  The vision lasted 45 minutes.

8-febrero-1962. Mari Cruz a las 7 de la tarde fue hacia el Cuadro y al llegar se puso en éxtasis, habló algo, pero no se pudo entender, duró la visión unos 20 minutos.

February 8, 1962. Mari Cruz went toward the Cuadro at 7 in the afternoon and upon arriving she fell into ecstasy.  She said something that I couldn’t understand.  The vision lasted about 20 minutes.

A las 9 de la noche, salió en éxtasis de su casa María Loli, fue a casa de Leoncio, que estaba de cuerpo presente, dio a besar el Crucifijo a las personas que estaban allí, casi todo el pueblo, rezó unas Estación, marchó y entró en otras casas, terminó la visión a las 9:30.

At 9 at night María Loli left her house in ecstasy and went to Leoncio’s house.  He was there and she gave him and the other people who were there the crucifix to kiss.  Almost the whole village was there.  She prayed a Station, left and entered into other houses.  The vision ended at 9:30.

9-febrero-1962. María Loli, salió a las 6 de la tarde en éxtasis de su casa, fue hacia el Cuadro, regresó de espalda a casa de Conchita, y de allí fue hacia la iglesia, santiguándose a la puerta de la iglesia, duró la visión una hora.

February 9, 1962. María Loli left her house in ecstasy at 6 in the afternoon and went toward the Cuadro.  She returned walking backwards until she reached Conchita’s house and from there she went to the Church, blessing herself at the door.  The vision lasted an hour.

Mari Cruz, a las 6:30 se fue desde la puerta de la iglesia hacia el Cuadro, y allí entró en éxtasis, estuvo todo el tiempo de rodillas, duró la visión 15 minutos.

Mari Cruz went from the door of the Church towards the Cuadro at 6:30 and there she entered into ecstasy.  She was on her knees the whole time.  The vision lasted 15 minutes.

10-febrero-1962. A las 7 de la tarde, salió en éxtasis de su casa María Loli, anduvo por el pueblo, fue a la iglesia y de allí al Cuadro, de aquí bajó a casa de Primitiva, y allí dio a besar el Crucifijo a todos los que estaban en la casa, y lo mismo hizo en otras casas, duró la visión una hora.

February 10, 1962. At 7 in the evening María Loli left her house in ecstasy and walked through the village.  She went to the Church and then to the Cuadro.  From there she went to Primitiva’s house and gave the crucifix to all those who were there to kiss.  She did the same thing in the other houses.  The vision lasted an hour.

Conchita a las 10:30 de la noche, salió de su casa y al llegar al Cuadro se puso en éxtasis, habló algo que no se entendió, rezó el Rosario y terminó la visión a las 11.

Conchita left her house at 10:30 and upon arriving at the Cuadro she went into ecstasy and said something no one could understand.  She prayed the rosary and the vision ended at 11.

A las 9 de la noche, fue Mari Cruz acompañada de una niña pequeña al Cuadro, y al llegar se puso en éxtasis, duró la visión 15 minutos.

At 9 at night Mari Cruz went to the Cuadro accompanied by a little girl.  When she arrived she went into ecstasy.  The vision lasted 15 minutes.

11-febrero-1962. A las 8 de la mañana, fue Conchita, como de costumbre a rezar el Rosario al Cuadro, y a mitad del Rosario, se puso en éxtasis, duró la visión 15 minutos.

February 11, 1962. At 8 in the morning Conchita went to pray the rosary in the Cuadro as always.  In the middle of the rosary she fell into ecstasy.  The vision lasted 15 minutes.

A las 7 de la tarde, salió de su casa en éxtasis María Loli, fue hacia el Cuadro, volvió a casa, salió y entró en casa de Emilia Cosío, desde allí fue al Cuadro, y allí terminó la visió a las 7:20.

At 7 in the afternoon María Loli left her house in ecstasy and went toward the Cuadro.  She returned to her house, left and entered into Emilia Cosío’s house, and went to the Cuadro from there.  The vision ended there at 7:20.

12-febrero-1962. María Loli salió a rezar el Rosario a las 6 de la mañana, al Cuadro, y al terminar el Rosario se quedó en éxtasis, fue a varias casas, y a la puerta de la iglesia, donde se le quitó, duró la visión 25 minutos.  A las 5:20 de la tarde salió otra vez en éxtasis de su casa, estuvo por el pueblo y terminó a las 6.  A las 9:30 volvió a salir de su casa, estuvo por varias casas dando a besar el Crucifijo, duró la visión 30 minutos.

February 12, 1962. María Loli left to pray the rosary at 6 in the morning.  She went to the Cuadro and when she finished the rosary she went into ecstasy.  She went to several houses and to the door of the Church where the ecstasy left her.  The vision lasted 25 minutes.  At 5:20 in the afternoon she left her house in ecstasy again and went through the village.  It ended at 6.  at 9:30 she left her house again and went to several houses giving the crucifix to be kissed.  The vision lasted 30 minutes.

Conchita fue a las 10 de la noche al Cuadro y al llegar se puso en éxtasis, rezó el Rosario y después dio a besar el Crucifijo a los que estaban allí, duró la visión 30 minutos.

Conchita went to the Cuadro at 10 at night and upon arriving she fell into ecstasy.  She prayed the rosary and afterward gave the crucifix to those who were there to kiss.  The vision lasted 30 minutes.

13-febrero-1962. Conchita fue a las 8 de la mañana al Cuadro a rezar el Rosario, y allí se quedó en éxtasis, duró como 15 minutos.

February 13, 1962. Conchita went to the Cuadro to pray the rosary at 8 in the morning.  She fell into ecstasy there.  It lasted about 15 minutes.

A las 5 de la tarde, salió María Loli, en éxtasis de su casa, fue al Cuadro, y desde allí fue a la iglesia y a casa de Jacinta, donde dio a besar medallas y objetos, devolviendo alguno a su dueño, que antes le había entregando otra tercera persona.  Duró 45 minutos.

At 5 in the afternoon María Loli left her house in ecstasy and went to the Cuadro.  From there she went to the Church and to Jacinta’s house, where she gave medals and other objects to be kissed before returning them to their owners even though a third party had given them to her.  It lasted 45 minutes.

Mari Cruz, fue al Cuadro a las 7 de la tarde y al llegar quedó en éxtasis, habló algo que no se entendió, duró unos minutos.

Mari Cruz went to the Cuadro at 7 in the evening and upon arriving she fell into ecstasy.  She said something that no one understood.  It lasted a few minutes.

14-febrero-1962. María Loli, salió en éxtasis de su casa a las 9 de la noche, fue por el pueblo, entró en varias casas y dio a besar el Crucifijo a varias personas.  Duró unos 45 minutos.

February 14, 1962. María Loli left her house in ecstasy at 9 at night.  She went through the village, entered into several houses and gave the crucifix to various people to kiss.  It lasted 45 minutes.

15-febrero-1962. Después del Rosario, a las 7 de la tarde, fue al Cuadro Mari Cruz y estuvo en éxtasis unos 15 minutos.

February 15, 1962. After the rosary at 7 in the evening Mari Cruz went to the Cuadro and was in ecstasy for 15 minutes.

María Loli, salió a las 9 de la noche en éxtasis, estuvo por el pueblo, terminó la aparición a las 9:30.

María Loli left in ecstasy at 9 at night and went through the village.  The apparition eded at 9:30.

16-febrero-1962. No hubo apariciones.

February 16, 1962. There were no apparitions.

17-febrero-1962.Mari Cruz salió de la iglesia a las 7:30 de la tarde y fue al Cuadro quedando allí en éxtasis, desde allí bajó en éxtasis hasta su casa, entró en casa, cogió el Crucifijo, y salió a dársele a las personas que estaban allí, duraría unos 15 minutos.

February 17, 1962. Mari Cruz left the Church at 7:30 and went to the Cuadro where she went into ecstasy.  From there she went to her house, entered the house, took the crucifix, and left to give it to the people who where there.  It lasted 15 minutes.

Conchita, que había acompañado todo ese tiempo a Mari Cruz, se marchó desde la puerta de la casa de Mari Cruz, hacia el Cuadro y allí estuvo en éxtasis unos 15 minutos.

Conchita, who had accompanied Mari Cruz this whole time, left and went toward the door of Mari Cruz’s house, then she went toward the Cuadro and stayed there in ecstasy for 15 minutes.

18-febrero-1962. A las 6 de la mañana, salieron María Loli y Jacinta a rezar el Rosario al Cuadro, y allí se quedaron en éxtasis.  (Esta última no había tenido ninguna aparición desde el día 18 de enero, habiendo anunciado que no la tendría hasta el día de hoy).  Bajaron al pueblo, y dieron a besar el Crucifijo a unas personas, y volvieron al Cuadro donde se les quitó.  Duró 60 minutos.

February 18, 1962. At 6 in the morning María Loli and Jacinta left to pray the rosary in the Cuadro, and they fell into ecstasy there.  (Jacinta hadn’t had an apparition since January 18^th, and it had been announced that she wouldn’t have one until today).  They went down to the village and gave the crucifix for some people to kiss.  They returned to the Cuadro where the apparition left them.  It lasted 60 minutes.

A las 6 de la tarde, fueron Jacinta y María Loli a los Pinos y allí se pusieron en éxtasis y bajaron hasta la puerta de la iglesia, en esta es donde se le quitó a las dos con un minuto de diferencia.  Duró 55 minutos.

At 6 in the afternoon Jacinta and María Loli went to the Pines and fell into ecstasy there and then descended until they reached the door of the Church.  It was there that the ecstasy left them with a minute difference.  It lasted 55 minutes.

A las 8 de la tarde, sale Conchita, de su casa en éxtasis, va hacia la iglesia, da a besar allí el Crucifijo a unas cuantas personas, vuelve hacia su casa, en el camino estuvo dando a besar a la visión medallas, rosarios y anillos, fue hacia su casa y terminó a las 9:30.

At 8 in the evening Conchita left her house in ecstasy and went toward the Church.  She gave the crucifix to be kissed there to some people.  She returned towards her house, and in the street she gave medals, rosaries, and rings to the vision to kiss.  She went toward her house and it ended at 9:30.

19-febrero-1962. A las 6 de la mañana, fueron María Loli y Jacinta a rezar el Rosario al Cuadro, a mitad del Rosario quedaron en éxtasis, dando a besar a la visión rosarios y medallas, devolviéndoselos a su dueño, aunque muchos objetos se les habían entregado por una tercera persona.  Duró 45 minutos.

February 19, 1962. At 6 in the morning María Loli and Jacinta went to pray the rosary in the Cuadro.  In the middle of the rosary they fell into ecstasy and gave the vision rosaries and medals to kiss then returned them to their owners, even though many of the objects had been given to them by a third party.  It lasted 45 minutes.

A las 6 de la tarde, fueron María Loli y Jacinta a los Pinos, allí estuvieron jugando y al poco tiempo quedaron en éxtasis y bajaron en este estado hasta casa de jacinta que estaba enferma en cama.  Duró hasta las 7:30.

At 6 in the afternoon María Loli and Jacinta went to the Pines and they played there.  After a little while they fell into ecstasy and they descended to Jacinta’s house in this state; Jacinta was sick in bed.  It lasted until 7:30.

Nota:  Llegó un autocar de Segovia con 45 personas y un sacerdote.

20-febrero-1962. A las 5 de la tarde fueron a los Pinos María Loli y Jacinta, y al poco tiempo de estar allí quedaron en éxtasis, estando unos momentos allí y después bajaron en este estado de espalda hasta el pueblo, donde se les quitó.

February 20, 1962. At 5 in the afternoon María Loli and Jacinta went to the Pines and after being there for a little while they fell into ecstasy.  They stayed there for a few minutes and then they descended backwards until they reached the village, where the ecstasy left them.

A las 7:30 de la tarde, después del Rosario, quedó en éxtasis Jacinta y estuvo de rodillas a la puerta de la iglesia, duró como unos 15 minutos.

At 7:30 in the evening after the rosary Jacinta fell into ecstasy and was on her knees at the door of the Church.  It lasted 15 minutes.

Más tarde salió Conchita de su casa en éxtasis, y estuvo en ese estado por el pueblo bastante tiempo.

Later Conchita left her house in ecstasy and stayed in the town in this state for awhile.

Después de cenar, salió María Loli de su casa en éxtasis, entró en varias casas, durante este tiempo perdió una medalla y Jacinta que no estaba en éxtasis le mandó que preguntara a la visión donde estaba y parece que la visión le dijo donde la había perdido, pues la encontró donde le había dicho entre barro.

After eating dinner, María Loli left her house in ecstasy and entered into various houses.  During this time she lost a medal and Jacinta, who was not in ecstasy, told her to ask the vision where it was and it seems that the vision told her where it had been lost because she found it in some mud there.

Mari Cruz también tuvo visión.

Mari Cruz also had a vision.

21-febrero-1962. María Loli salió de su casa y se fue al Cuadro, donde tuvo aparición y desde alli subió a los pinos, bajando hasta el pueblo, donde se le quitó.

February 21, 1962. María Loli left her house and went to the Cuadro, where she had an apparition.  From there she went up to the Pines and descended until she reached the village, where the vision left her.

Jacinta tuvo también aparición.

Jacinta also had an apparition.

Conchita, también tuvo aparición.

Conchita also had an apparition.

Este día llevaron a Conchita a León.

That day they took Conchita to León.

22-febrero-1962. María Loli tuvo apariciones a las 6 de la tarde y a las 10, durando casa una de las apariciones unos 20 minutos. 

February 22, 1962. María Loli had apparitions at 6 in the evening and at 10; each apparition lasted about 20 minutes.

Mari Cruz tuvo aparición a las 8:30 durando 30 minutos.

Mari Cruz had an appariton at 8:30 which lasted 30 minutes.

Jacinta, tuvo aparición a las 9, durando 23 minutos.

Jacinta had an apparition at 9 that lasted 23 minutes.

23-febrero-1962. Tuvo aparición Mari Cruz, a las 7 de la tarde, fue al Cuadro y al comenzar a rezar, quedó en éxtasis, hizo ademan de coger al Niño que traía la Virgen dos veces y dijo:  anda déjamele que no le tiro.  Jacinta, a las 7:30 se puso en éxtasis rezando el Rosario por el pueblo.

February 23, 1962. Mari Cruz had an apparition at 7 in the evening.  She went to the Cuadro and began to pray and then fell into ecstasy.  She reached for the Child that the Virgin was holding and said:  “Come on, give him to me, I won’t drop him.”  Jacinta went into ecstasy at 7:30 and prayed the Rosary throughout the town.

María Loli también tuvo visión.

María Loli also had a vision.

24-febrero-1962. Mari Cruz, después del Rosario, fue al Cuadro y allí quedó en éxtasis y estuvo en este estado unos 15 minutos, y dijo que no volvía a tener visión hasta el martes.

February 24, 1962. After the rosary Mari Cruz went to the Cuadro where she fell into ecstasy.  She stayed in this state for about 15 minutes and said that she would not have another vision until Tuesday.

Jacinta, a las 9 de la tarde, salió en éxtasis de su casa y rezó el Rosario por el pueblo, duró como 55 minutos.

At 9 in the afternoon Jacinta left her house in ecstasy and prayed the rosary in the village.  It lasted 55 minutes.

María Loli, salió de su casa en éxtasis a las 11 de la noche, y dio a besar a la visión estampas y se las devolvía a sus dueños.

María Loli left her house in ecstasy at 11 at night.  She gave the vision some holy cards to kiss then returned them to their owners.

25-febrero-1962. Este día estuvo Ortiz “médico” y otro capitan médico.  A las 9:15 de la noche salieron Jacinta y María Loli, dando a besar el Crucifijo; a Jacinta se le quitó a la puerta de la Iglesia a los 30 minutos y María Loli en su casa momentos después.

February 25, 1962. That day Ortiz, the “doctor” and another medical captain were there.  At 9:15 at night Jacinta and María Loli left and gave the crucifix to be kissed.  The ecstasy left Jacinta at the door of the Church after 30 minutes and left María Loli in her house minutes later.

26-febrero-1962. A las 6:30 de la tarde, fue María Loli al Cuadro y allí se quedó en éxtasis, bajó hacia el pueblo de espalda, llegó a la puerta de la iglesia y allí estuvo de rodillas unos minutos; sale hacia su casa, entra en ella, da a besar el Crucifijo a las personas que estaban en ella, sale fuera, va hacia casa de Conchita, sube al Cuadro otra vez y baja de espalda hasta casa de Emilia, allí está unos minutos, vuelve hacia la iglesia, se arrodilla, se santigua dos veces con el Crucifijo, se levanta y va hacia su casa, después hacia los Pinos, baja y se le quitó a las 7:15 minutos.

February 26, 1962. At 6:30 in the afternoon María Loli went to the Cuadro where she fell into ecstasy.  She descended backwards until she reached the village.  She arrived at the door of the Church and stayed there on her knees for a few minutes.  She left, going towards her house, and went inside it.  She gave the Crucifix for the people who were there to kiss.  She went outside and walked toward Conchita’s house.  She went up to the Cuadro again and descended backwards until she reached Emilia’s house.  She stayed there for a few minutes then returned toward the Church where she knelt and blessed herself twice with the crucifix.  She got up and went to her house, then to the Pines.  She came down and the ecstasy left her at 7:15.

27-febrero-1962. Desde esta fecha, las cosas de San Sebastián de Garabandal siguen poco más o menos igual.  Las niñas han tenido éxtasis casi todos los días.

February 27, 1962. Since this date everything in San Sebastián de Garabandal continues about the same.  The girls have had ecstasies almost all of these days.

Conchita fue a León a casa de Don Emilio del Valle y alli tuvo dos apariciones.

Conchita went to León to Mr. Emilio del Valle’s house and she had two apparitions there.

Don Emilio del Valle ha querido llevar a las niñas a un colegio, corriendo a su cargo todos los gastos, pero ha encontrado oposición en los padres de las niñas.

Mr. Emilio del Valle wants to bring the girls to a school and has offered to pay all of the expenses, but he has encountered opposition from the girls’ parents.

Sigue subiendo personal a ver los éxtasis de las niñas.

He has been going up to see the ecstasies personally.

12-marzo-1962. A las 11:27 de este día María Dolores tuvo una conversación en éxtasis con el Padre Andreu, Don Luís, Loli se pone a llora y dice:  Paque venga tu hermano, ya hace medio año que no viene; ah! Que tu quieres que venga, yo también hace el mismo tiempo que no le vemos, desde que hablamos contigo la última vez no le hemos vuelto a ver, voy a escribirle y decirle que he estado contigo, sabes quiero que me digas si vendrá?  Pero si no puedes, si también mira sabes el que?  Haz un milagro para que vean que es el padre Andreu y que hablamos contigo y con la Virgen también, eso?  Sabes que le sacamos una foto a la Virgen y salió?  Bueno ya lo saes tu porque no lo creerán?  Tu lo dices y el padre Ramón también y también hay otras gentes que no creen.  Haz que venga pronto tu hermano, que triste te pondrías si nos fuéramos al colegio porque ya no podíamos ver a la Virgen.  Que gusto me da hablar contigo, como cuando estabas vivo, yo me pongo más contenta cuando vienes, hace más que no te veíamos, tengo muchas ganas de verle, hace casi seis meses, si tu quieres que venga, se lo digo y viene tu quieres?  Si tiene mucho trabajo, pues cuando pueda.  Te voy a enseñar una cosa (va a la mesita coge una estampa) y señala:  mira este eres tu y este el padre Ramón, aquí estás tu te ves?  Pero vuelve luego adios hasta que vuelvas luego, cuando le diga que he estado hablando contigo, que ibas a decir?  Pues dilo que yo se lo digo me lo dices que?  Ya se lo diré.

March 12, 1962. At 11:27 on that day María Dolores had a conversation in ecstasy with Fr. Andreu, Fr. Luís.  Loli started to cry and said:  “Why doesn’t your brother come, it has been six months since he’s come, oh!  You want him to come too…we haven’t seen him since the last time we spoke with you.  I’m going to write to him and tell him that I spoke with you…I would like you to tell me if he will come?  But if you can’t, do you know what else?  Perform a miracle so everyone will see that you are Fr. Andreu and that we talk to you and with the Virgin also.  Do you know that we took a picture of the Virgin and it came out?  Do you know why they don’t believe?  You and Fr. Ramón say it and some other people don’t believe.  Make your brother come quickly.  How sad you would be if we went to school because then we wouldn’t see the Virgin anymore.  It makes me so happy to speak with you, just like when you were alive.  It makes me happier when you come…it’s been a long time since we’ve seen you…we want to see you very much, it’s been six months.  If you want him to come I’ll tell him and he’ll come if you want?  Yes, he has a lot of work, but when he can.  I’m going to show you something” (she went to the table and took a holy card) she signals, “Look, this is you and this is Fr. Ramón, here you are, see?  Return later, goodbye until later when you come back.  When I tell him that I was talking with you, what are you going to say?  Tell him that I will say what?  I will tell him.”

Las cosas siguen igual, sube gente, cuatro sacerdotes, a quienes no dejo decir Misa por orden del Obispo.

Things continue as usual.  People come up, four priests to whom I did not give permission to say mass because of the Bishop’s order.

11-marzo-1962. 9:35 de la tarde.  Conchita dice tiene ganas de ir a la cuadra.  Como tarda vamos con su madre y la encontramos a las 9:45 en cuclillas cojida al cuello de una oveja.  9:50 va a la Iglesia, se arrodilla a la puerta.  Sue al callejo a las 9:52.  Da a besar varias medallas y rosarios a la visión.  9:58 va a su casa y da a besar a la gente un crucifijo.  Va a casa de Mari Cruz que está en cama con su madre.  A las 10:05 va a casa de Jacinta, sube las escaleras de rodillas, entramos en la habitación de Jacinta y la encontramos en trance, sola.  Conchita dice cuánto hace que te ve?  Hace un poquitín?  Y aquí sola?  No sabía nadie que estaba así?  10:17 Dice:  hasta el martes no hay milagro?  Que bien!  Te dije que la verías!  Pues yo ya creía que no.  10:19 Van las dos a casa de Loli.  10:20 en el portal de Loli se le pasa a Conchita, en la puerta de casa de Loli.  Entra Jacinta y sale con Loli, está normal hacia la iglesia.  Va a casa de Ceferina a las 10:30.  Se arrodilla delante de Ceferina y le dice:  “Te vengo a pedir perdón.”  Va a casa del maestro y hace lo mismo.  El maestro se puso a llorar.  (Por la tarde le habían hecho una travesura y Ceferina las descubrió a las 4 mientras la hacían).  Entre tanto Conchita buscana una medalla que le había caído en el barro y me dice:  “La Virgen me ha dicho que está aquí.”  La encontramos.  A Jacinta le pasa el trance a las 10:38 en el portal de su casa.  11:20 Empieza Conchita en su casa.  Va a casa de Eugenia González que había comprado aquel día un armario nuevo.  Conchita no lo había visto.  Sube Conchita va al armario y dice “como se abre?”  Lo abre y de un cajón del armario saca un rosario, lo da a besar varias veces y dice:  “A quién quieres más de las naciones?  A todas?  Porque?  Cuando se le pasó el trance le pregunté que quería decir ese porqué?  Me dijo que la Virgen le había dicho que quería más a España por su fe, pero que las otras naciones hacían más sacrificios.  Y que también le había dicho que “sabía los misterios de tos.”

March 11, 1962. 9:35 in the evening.  Conchita said that she wanted to go to the Cuadro.  Since it was late she went with her mother and we met her there at 9:45 on her knees holding the neck of one of the sheep.  At 9:50 she goes to the Church and kneels at the door.  She goes up to the Calleja at 9:52.  She gives various medals and rosaries for the Virgin to kiss.  At 9:58 she goes to her house and gives the people the crucifix to kiss.  She goes to Mari Cruz’s house, and Mari Cruz is in bed with her mother.  At 10:05 she goes to Jacinta’s house, ascends the stairs on her knees, enters into Jacinta’s room and it was there that we found her alone in a trance.  Conchita says, “How long since you have seen her? A little while?  Like this alone?  Nobody knew you were like this?”  At 10:17 she says:  “There will be no miracle until Tuesday?  Oh, good!  I told you that you will see her!  I already thought I wouldn’t.”  At 10:19 the two girls go to Loli’s house.  At 10:20 Conchita passes through Loli’s door.  Jacinta enters and then leaves with Loli; she is normal and going toward the Church.  She goes to Ceferina’s house at 10:30.  She kneels in front of Ceferina’s house and tells her:  “I came to you to ask for forgiveness.”  She goes to the teacher’s house and does the same thing.  The teacher starts to cry.  (In the afternoon they had done something mischievous and Ceferina discovered the four girls doing it).  In the middle Conchita looks for a medal that had fallen in the mud and tells me:  “The Virgin said that it is here.”  We found it.  The trance leaves Jacinta at 10:38 in the doorway of her house.  At 11:20 Conchita’s ecstasy begins in her house.  She goes to Eugenia González’s house, who had purchased a new armoire that day.  Conchita had not seen it.  Conchita went to the armoire and said:  “How does it open?”  She opened it and took a rosary out of a drawer.  She gave it to be kissed several times and said:  “Which nation do you love the most?  All of them?  Why?”  When the trance had passed I asked her why she’d said this.  She told me that the Virgin had told her that she loved Spain the best for its faith, but that the other nations made more sacrifices.  She also said that “she knew everyone’s mysteries.”

11:25 Empieza María Loli, le pide perdón al maestro en su casa, sube al piso de su casa y da a besar un crucifijo a un médico que no lo quiso besar.  Loli lloraba mucho.  El médico me dijo que me escribiría desde Madrid diciéndome el porque no había besado el crucifijo.  Loli va a la iglesia.  Reza un Señor Mío Jesucristo.  Da una vuelta al pueblo.  Entra en su casa a las 11:55.  Besa dos veces y da a besar las mejillas y pasa el trance a las 11:57. 

At 11:25 María Loli’s ecstasy began and she asked forgiveness from the teacher at his house.  She went upstairs in his house and gave the crucifix for a doctor to kiss, who didn’t want to kiss it.  Loli cried a lot.  The doctor told me that he would write to me from Madrid telling me why he hadn’t kissed the cross.  Loli goes to the Church.  She prays an Act of Contrition.  She goes around the village.  She enters her house at 11:55.  She kissed the Virgin twice and gave her cheeks to be kiss.  The trance ended at 11:57.

2:58 de la madrugada del lunes.  Loli empieza sentada en la cantina y dice “están esperando para irse a la cama.”  Rie.  Milagro en martes?  Para que no haces un milagro para que lo crea el señor Obispo?  Se persigna da a besar la mejilla besa ella y termina a las tres.

2:58 in the morning on Monday.  Loli began her ecstasy while sitting in the tavern and she said:  “They are waiting to go to bed.”  She laughed.  “The miracle on Tuesday?  Why don’t you do the miracle so the Bishop will believe?”  She makes the sign of the cross and gives her cheek to be kissed then she kisses the Virgin.  The ecstasy ended at 3.

12-marzo-1962. 9:30 de la (mañana) tarde.  Jacinta da varias vueltas por el pueblo en éxtasis, va a la iglesia y le pasa a las 9:52.  10:55 empieza Loli en la cantina, entra en la cocina y da a besar un crucifijo.  Va a casa de Jacinta a las 11:05.  Todos duermen.  Dice Loli:  Jacinta a las 6 me despiertas.  Va al Cuadro se arrodilla, se santigua y le pasa a las 11:12.  Mientras bajábamos vuelve el trance y entra en su casa.  Va a la cocina.  Sube al piso a las 11:19.  Cae de rodillas con un fuerte golpe se dobla para atrás y dice:  no se puede confesar porque es sordo y además mudo.  Como lo hace entonces?  Yo le diré que puede, que puede, por eso!  Puede comulgar así?  Ya se lo diré que escriba.  Ah bueno.  Se da varios rodillazos muy fuertes.  Se sienta y llora dice que mejora, dice Pa que venga tu hermano, has tu pa que venga tu hermano.  Ya hace medio año que no le vemos.  Ah!  Que tu quieres que venga.  Yo también.  Casi hace que no hablamos contigo que él que el hace qu no viene.  Voy a escribirle.  Y que he estado contido.  Sabes que quiero que me digas que venga, pero si no puede…Si, también si, si!  Mira sabes el qué, has un milagro para que vean que hablamos contigo y la Virgen también también eso?  Sabes que le sacamos una foto a la Virgen?  Y salió. 

March 12, 1962. 13-marzo-1962. A la 1:35 de la madrugada Loli dice en éxtasis en su cocina:  Cuando?  Si también?  No, te voy a decir una cosa que me dijo Marta, no se la oye:  Tengo aparición a las 6?  Se ríe.  Pasa a las 1:45.

A las 6 van a Loli y Jacinta al callejo donde tuvieron las primeras apariciones.  Rezan normales las dos un rosario y Jacinta a las 6:37 entra en éxtasis, da a besar varios objetos a la visión y va a la iglesia en donde reza una estación.  Da una vuelta por el pueblo y se va a su casa.

Por la noche a las 11:37 Mari Cruz estaba en su casa.  Había recibido una carta de un sacerdote de Villaviciosa, en la que le decía que le pagaba pensión y estudios en un colegio de aquel pueblo.  Con la condición de que no volviera a ver a la Virgen, ya que esto le podría causar quebraderos de cabeza con el Sr. Obispo de Oviedo.  La niña no había leído la carta y si su madre; ésta puso la carta dentro del sobre y le dijo a la niña que preguntara a la Virgen que es lo que tenía que contestar.  Mari Cruz no quería hacer y costó trabajo lograr que cogiera la carta.  Nada más cogerla, sale Mari Cruz para el callejo, se arrodilla, saca la carta del sobre y la enseña, mirando la carta del reves y dice:  que le digo?  Que te seguiré viendo?  Que es un sitio bueno?  Pero que te seguiré viendo?  Hace mucho que no voy con las tres.  Le pasa a las 11:53.

12:20 Conchita entra en trance en su casa, va a la iglesia, se arrodilla, se persigna.  12:28 va a casa de Jacinta, se arrodilla en el portal y sube de rodillas dice:  por que ha venido a mi casa?  Da a besar varios rosarios y medallas.  11:21 va a casa de Mari Cruz, da a besar un crucifijo a la madre de ella.  Dice:  dale un beso a todas.  Da varias vueltas por me pueblo y a las 11:52 va al callejo se persigna besa y la pasa a las 12.  (Había dicho que al día siguiente no le vería y no llevaba reloj).

March 14, 1962. 6:30 de la tarde.  Conchita quería estar sola y fue detrás del lavadero en donde quedó en éxtasis.  Fue a los pinos y dice cogiendo una albarca de las que llevaba:  traigo las albarcas en la mano y las zapatillas, toas remendás.  Ando buscando el burru, donde está?  En la cuadra?  Se estaba persignando con la albarca, dándose golpes en la cara:  que buen día está hoy, que se haga de noche y siga el sol?  Y que nieve para hacer santos y pa navegar.  Termina a las 6:45 de la tarde.  Dijo que tendría visión el día 15 a las 3:30 de la mañana.

22:05 Jacinta salió con Marta a la cuadra y dice:  vamos a dar una vuelta.  En la esquina se quedó en trance cogida de Marta.  Va a casa de Ceferina.  Da a besar un crucifijo.  A la Iglesia.  Se persigna.  Casa de Loli en donde ésta salía en éxtasis y se cruzan a unos 10 metros de casa de Loli.  Tropiezan y continuan separadas.  Dice Jacinta:  no lo sabe nadie que estoy , no lo digas!  Va a casa de Mari Cruz.  Entra en la cocina y da a besar un crucifijo a Alicia.  Sube entonces Loli en éxtasis y sale Jacinta.  Se para en la puerta y dice:  No viene Mari Cruz?  Que se lo den que ya lo cree.  Anda haz ya un milagro que la gente así lo creo.  Fue a casa de la hija de Primitiva que tenían la acera con cemento fresco y no entró dice:  que no puedo?  Va a casa de Loli.  Dice:  Porqué no te ve Marta?  Ah es verdad?  Anduvieron las dos niñas por las calles y les paso a las 22:45.

Loli en la cocina a las 2:30 queda en éxtasis y dice:  dímelo para entonces decirselo, no, porque?  Si don Valentín dirá misa a las 11, me levantas a las 10:30, ya lo vio Jacinta.  Dime como está la hermana de Ceferina.  Sabes como me acuerdo cuando tocan las carracas, por eso me acuerdo.  (La hermana de Ceferina vive en Caracas) que Ferinin pueda comer (es su hermano pequeño y está enfermo) y aquel sordo-mudo y también el que tiene cancer.  El de Madrid está en el cielo yo tengo un recordatorio de ella, si, que también es buena.  Como Mari Cruz te ve tan poco?  Dice:  por qué no dejas el Niño?  Porque es chiquitín?  Y además viene tan poco el niño!  Además hace mucho que nació y que chiquitito y fue grande!  Y hace más del mil años.  Y tu también, tan joven y hace también mucho que yo no me acuerdo.  Yo querría que hablara el Niño.  No me dice ná.  Además cuando yo hablo el se ríe.  Me lo dejas no te lo tiro.  Si me dices que tal están las hermanas de Ceferina.  Si déjamele, anda.  Porque no me lo dejas?  Si, ya te vería también Jacinta, que es ya la hora Jacinta había avisado a sus padres que la despertaran a las 2:30 y no lo hicieron.  Por lo que se puso a llorar a las 4 cuando se despertó y dijo a sus padres:  Por culpa vuestra no la he visto.  Eran las 2:30 Dijo un sacerdote que puedes estar con tos a la vez, no?  Pues déjame darle un beso.  Besa y termina la aparición a las 2:47 después de santiguarse.

Loli a las 2.  En la cocina sentada quedó en éxtasis.  Da a besar a la visión cinco postales sin mirarlas y cuando levanta la estampa de San Enrique, dice sánala de los ojos, el médico le dice que no curará.  No quieres?  Yo si, y tu porqué dices que no?  Si, eso que decía yo no lo puedo decir.  Si tu quieres, si, lo decía, y el Niño?  Yo querría me dijera algo.  Y porque no me lo dices.  Sana a esa, a la madre de Alicia que de un ojo ya no ve y no verá el milagro que hagas en el cielo.  Termina a las 2:10 (el padre de Alicia se llama Enrique).

March 16, 1962. Loli en la cocina a las 3 de la mañana, cae de rodillas y dice:  si, da a besar varias medallas y objetos.  3:07 da a besar un crucifijo y dice:  ay!  Pues que vaya ahora.  Creo que no vendrías hoy.  Si.  Si viniera verdad?  Hoy le escribí, no corre la carta, si quieres que le diga alto…a ver si vienes el día 18 o 19.  Te quiere, verdad?  Si hace mucho, dime que día fue, día 12.  Es verdad que han operado al marqués?  Te dijo la Virgen?  Hoy viene porque te vas tan luego?  Vuelve hoy!  Porque te vas?  Si.  Se persigna da a besar las mejillas, besa ella 2 veces y termina a las 3:15 se persigna. 

March 17, 1962. Loli was in the kitchen at three in the morning when she fell to her knees and said:  “Yes.”  She gave various medals and objects to be kissed.  At 3:07 she gave a crucifix to be kissed and said:  “Oh!  Well, go now.  I thought that you weren’t coming today.  Yes, he’s really coming?  I wrote to him today, but the letter hasn’t been mailed yet…you want me to tell him aloud…maybe he’s coming on the 18^th or 19^th.  He loves you, doesn’t he?  Yes, it has been a long time, tell me which day it was.  It was the 12^th.  Is it true that the Marquis had an operation?  Did the Virgin tell you?  Today he comes, but why are you leaving so soon?  Return today!  Why are you going?  Yes.”  She makes the sign of the cross and gives her cheeks to be kissed.  She kisses twice and the ecstasy ends at 3:15 when she makes the sign of the cross.

Jacinta a las 10:20 entra en trance en su casa.  Va a la Iglesia.  Se arrodilla y dice:  Pido por la madre del padre Ramón que hoy ya es monja, porque no me despertaste a las 2 y media?  A las 10:45 va a casa de Loli.  Empieza a rezar el rosario y va a casa de Conchita.  Continua rezando el rosario.  Va a la iglesia a las 11:55 y termina a esta hora.  (Al salir de casa de Conchita, pensé:  si esta niña está viendo a la Virgen que me de a besar el crucifijo que lleva.  Inmediatamente se paró, se gira para atrás, en donde yo estaba y me lo dio a besar.  Eran las 11:15 de la noche)  (No le dio a besar a nadie más, de todos los que íbamos tras de ella)  (Como se ve se ha sucedió todo casi igual, con poca diferencia de minutos que el día 13).

At 10:20 Jacinta entered a trance in her house.  She went to the Church where she knelt and said:  “I’m praying for Fr. Ramón’s mother who is a nun.  Why didn’t you wake me at 2:30?”  At 10:45 she went to Loli’s house.  She began to pray the rosary and then went to Conchita’s house.  She continued praying the rosary.  She went to the Church at 11:55 and the ecstasy ended there.  (Upon leaving Conchita’s house, I thought:  “If this girl is seeing the Virgin, have her give me the crucifix she’s holding to kiss.  She stopped immediately where I was and gave me the cross to kiss.  It was 11:15 at night).  (She didn’t give it to anyone else to kiss, even though a group of people followed her).  (As you can see everything happened almost the same way with a difference in time, as it did on the 13^th).

Mari Cruz a las 11:37 empieza y va al callejo.  Da a besar objetos a la visión.  Llora mucho.  Dice:  donde?  Me da a besar una medalla.  11:43 se persigna.  Ríe.  Dice:  Hace mucho que no vamos las tres (como el martes anterior).  Dice:  cuando va a ser?  Ríe, pero le caen las lágrimas.  Le cuesta mucho tragar la salida, casi no puede.  Dice:  no te veré mañana?  A las 11:58 en el callejo le pasa, ríe y se persigna.

At 11:37 Mari Cruz had an ecstasy and went to the Calleja.  She gave objects for the vision to kiss, and she cried a lot.  She said:  “Where?”  She gave me a medal to kiss.  At 11:43 she blessed herself, laughed, and said:  “It’s been a long time since the three of us have seen you together (like last Tuesday).”  She said:  “When is this going to happen?”  She laughs but tears fell.  It’s hard for her to swallow some saliva, and she almost can’t do it.  She said:  “I will not see you tomorrow?”  It ended in the Calleja at 11:58 when she laughed and made the sign of the cross.

Conchita a las 11:16.  Entra en trance en la cocina de su casa.  Sube al callejo y va al cementerio.  Vuelve a la iglesia y otra vez al cementerio.  Va a la puerta de Mari Cruz y Jacinta.  Sube a casa Jacinta y van las dos (Jacinta normal) a casa de Conchita, da a besar unos objetos y a nosotros un crucifijo.  No dice nada.  Termina a las 11:30.

Conchita had an ecstasy at 11:16.  She entered the trance in the kitchen of her house.  She went up to the Calleja and went to the cemetery.  She returned to the Church and then went to the cemetery again.  She went to Mari Cruz’s door as well as Jacinta’s.  She went up to Jacinta’s house and the two girls (Jacinta was in the normal state) went to Conchita’s house.  She gave some objects to be kissed and offered us the crucifix to kiss.  She didn’t say anything.  It ended at 11:30.

18-marzo-1962. Conchita tiene aparición a las 3:25, mientras dormía dijo:  porqué no te ve Marta?  No se la oye.  Reza un Ave María y termina a las 3:34.

March 18, 1962. Conchita had an apparition at 3:25 and while she slept she said:  “Why doesn’t Marta see you?”  I didn’t hear her.  She prayed a Hail Mary and it ended at 3:34.

Loli a las 8:55 tiene el éxtasis en su casa y sube al piso.  Coje varios objetos y los da a besar.  Sale a casa de Jacinta a las 9:20.  Se arrodilla y Jacinta pregunta:  la veré?  Dice Loli:  Si, si…Jacinta (normal) dice:  Ay que bien!  9:25 Loli va a la iglesia, se arrodilla delante de la puerta y reza un Ave María.  Le pasa a las 9:50.  Dice que la volverá a ver a la 1.  Me dijo que había pedido por “la de Madrid que esta mala y por un muchacho de no se donde que está mal del corazón.”

At 8:55 Loli had an ecstasy in her house and went upstairs.  She took various objects and gave them to be kissed.  She left Jacinta’s house at 9:20.  She knelt and Jacinta asked:  “Do you see her?”  Loli said:  “Yes, yes…”  Jacinta (in the normal state) said:  “Oh how good!”  At 9:25 Loli went to the Church, knelt in front of the door, and prayed a Hail Mary.  It ended at 9:50.  She said that the Virgin would return at 1.  She told me that she had prayed for “Madrid, which is bad and for a boy, I don’t know where, who is sick with a heart condition.”

Conchita tiene aparición a las 10:50.  Va a la iglesia y luego al cementerio como el día anterior.  De varias vueltas por las calles y va a su casa a las 11:06.

Conchita had an apparition at 10:50.  She went to the Church and then to the cemetery like the day before.  She went around the village several times and then went to her house at 11:06.

Generalidades

El domingo 18 llegaron a San Sebastián de Garabandal dos sacerdotes con un muchacho joven que tiene una gravisima enfermedad del corazón y tiene los días contados según los médicos.  Venían de Orense.  Uno de los sacerdotes el padre Silva iba de americana y pantalón.  Durante todo el día, estuvieron atosigando a las niñas, hasta el extremo que el Sr. Brigada de la Guardia Civil les tuvo que llamar la atención varias veces.  En el momento de la aparición  de Jacinta, mientras estaban en casa de Conchita, se pegaron materialmente las orejas en la boca para intentar oír algo.  Se les llamó la atención varias veces por parte de los padres de las niñas y al ver que no hacían caso y que te empujan al sacerdote que iba a la derecja de la niña (padre Silva), creyéndome que se trataría de un lego.  Aunque no sé en aquel momento que hubiera hecho aunque hubiera llevado sotana.  Instantáneamente se volvió Jacinta y me puso el crucifijo en la boca y seguidamente hizo lo mismo con el padre Silva. 

Generalities

On Sunday the 18^th, two priests and a young boy who was very sick with a heart condition arrived at San Sebastián de Garabandal.  He had only a few days left, according to the doctors.  They came from Orense.  Fr. Silva, one of the priests, dressed like an American and wore pants.  During the whole day, they were asking the girls a lot of things and finally Mr. Brigada of the Civil Guard asked them to stop several times.  At the moment Jacinta began her apparition, while in Conchita’s house, they put their ears to her lips in an effort to hear something.  Several times the girls’ parents stopped them.  When they almost knocked the girl over I was angry and pushed Fr. Silva, who was on the girl’s right, thinking that he was just an ordinary man; I don’t know what I would have done if I had known he was a priest.  Instantly Jacinta returned and put the crucifix to my lips, then did the same thing to Fr. Silva.

La niña continuó andando y el padre y yo nos quedamos mirándonos, y nos comprendimos.  Nos abrazamos y así fuimos solos apoyados en la tapia del atrio.  Dijo que no tenía licencia, pero no le insistí diciendole que tenía verdadera necesidad de ello.  Lo hice.  Me preguntó porque había hecho ese acto y le dije que en asado en defender a una niña que estaba viendo a la Virgen María.  Me dio la abosolución.  Entonces me dice que él quiere confesarme conmigo pues también tiene necesidad de confesión por haber abusado de su conque según él, sus habitos le obligan a ir detrás del último de los que la siguen.  Me dio las gracias por el empujón y me dijo que hasta que esto no sucedió el no se había dado cuenta verdadera del verdadero mensaje que estas niñas nos estaban dando.  Me pidió, por favor, si podía despertar al Sr. Párroco para decir él, o sea el padre Silva, la Misa de alba.  Como hay la prohibición de hacerlo a ningún sacerdotes que no sea don Valentín, no pudimos celebrarla, pero si pudimos comulgar y oír la Hora Santa más hermosa que se puede uno imaginar.  Fue fantástico.  Aquel hombre dijo cosas maravillosas y dio las gracias a las niñas, a sus madres y a todos porque la habían hecho vivir una emoción que hasta entonces munca hubiera logrado pudiera existir.  Rezamos un Santo Rosario, casi todos con los brazos en cruz…

The girl continued walking and the other priest and I looked at each other, and we understood.  We hugged and walked to the Church together; both of us cried and I asked him to give me confession. He said that he couldn’t, but I insisted and so he did.  He asked me why I had done such an action and I said that I had done it to defend a child who was seeing the Virgin Mary.  He gave me absolution.  Then he asked me to hear his confession, since he was also in need since he took advantage of being a priest in order to go ahead of the others who were following the girl.  He said he should have been the last among those following her.  He thanked me for pushing him because at that moment he’d realized the true message that the girls were trying to express.  He asked me if I could wake the pastor to ask him if Fr. Silva could say mass at dawn.  It was prohibited for any priest other than Fr. Valentín to do this, so he couldn’t, but we could receive the Sacrament and do the most beautiful Holy Hour we could imagine.  It was fantastic.  This man said marvelous things and gave thanks to the girls, their mothers, and everyone, for making him experience an emotion that he didn’t know existed until then.  We prayed the holy rosary, almost everyone holding their arms as though on a cross.

13-mayo-1962. A las 10:15 de la noche salieron María Loli y Jacinta y salieron por el pueblo, fueron a casa de Jerónimo y dieron a besar el crucifijo y después subieron a los Pinos y bajaron de espalda hasta el pueblo, llovía y granizaba, rezaron el rosario y terminó a las 10 y media.

May 13, 1962. At 10:15 at night María Loli and Jacinta left and went through the village.  They went to Jerónimo’s house and gave everyone the crucifix to kiss.  After that they went up to the Pines and descended backwards until they reached the village.  It rained and hailed, but they prayed the rosary and it ended at 10:30.

Según un médico militar de Madrid, don Pedro Suárez, las niñas iban poco extáticas y dice que él vio como María Loli, cuando bajaba de espaldas, iba a tropezar con un carro y que el padre la dos vio.  Según él no tiene nada de sobrenatural y es una cosa de fantasía de las niñas.  Duró 45 minutos.

According to a military doctor from Madrid, Pedro Suárez, the girls were little in ecstasy and he said that he saw María Loli almost run into a car when she descended backwards and that a priest stopped her.  According to him, there is nothing supernatural going on and it is all a fantasy.  It lasted 45 minutes.

A la 1 salió Conchita, rezó el rosario, dio a besar el crucifijo y duró una hora.

Conchita left at 1, prayed the rosary, and gave the crucifix to be kissed.  It lasted an hour.

12-mayo-1962. (Corresponde bien al 12 de mayo y el día anterior está bien en 13).  A las 2 de la mañana tuvo aparición María Loli.  Fue a casa de Conchita y a casa de Jerónimo, que estaba de cuerpo presente, dio a besar el crucifijo, duró 40 minutos.  A las 8 de la mañana fue Conchita con su madre y más público a la calleja, allí se rezó el rosario en estado natural, después fue a la puerta de la iglesia, allí estuvo hablando un poco.  Ya en éxtasis rezó el Yo Pecador, dio que le dio la comunión el Angel.  Rezó la estación y se le quitó, duró unos 15 minutos.

May 12, 1962. (This corresponds well with May 12^th and 13^th).  At 2 in the morning María Loli had an apparition.  She went to Conchita’s house and to Jerónimo’s house, who was there.  She gave the crucifix to be kissed and it lasted 40 minutes.  At 8 in the morning Conchita went with her mother and other people to the Calleja and she prayed a rosary there in the natural state.  After, she went to the door of the Church and stayed there talking for awhile.  Already in ecstasy, she prayed the Act of Contrition, and the Angel gave her Communion.  She prayed a Station and the ecstasy left her.  It lasted about 15 minutes.

14-mayo-1962. A las 9 y media de la noche salió Jacinta, fue por el pueblo, duró media hora.

A las 2 de la mañana, salió Loli en su casa, no salió de la casa durante 15 minutos.  (No había público de fuera).

May 14, 1962. At 9:30 at night Jacinta left and went through the village.  It lasted half an hour.

At 2 in the morning Loli fell into ecstasy and didn’t leave her house in those 15 minutes.  (No one was outside).

15-mayo-1962. Por la mañana fue Conchita a la calleja como de costumbre a rezar el rosario, después fue a la puerta de la iglesia y dice que le dio la comunión el Angel y que a la tarde tendría aparición a las 9.  A las 9 tuvo aparición, salió por el pueblo, dio a besar el crucifijo.

Mari Cruz también tuvo aparición en la calleja.

May 15, 1962. In the morning Conchita went to the Calleja as usual and prayed the rosary.  After that she went to the door of the Church and the Angel gave her Communion and said that she would have an apparition in the afternoon at 9.  At 9 she had an apparition, left throughout the village and gave the crucifix to be kissed.

Mari Cruz also had an apparition in the Calleja.

16-mayo-1962. Hoy fue Conchita a los Pinos a las 9 de la mañana, le dio la comunión el Angel según dice ella.  Jacinta la tuvo en casa y duró poco.  Mari Cruz decía que tuvo aparición.  Te vuelvo a ver el día 19 y me decían las otras que ya no te volvía a ver y si le veía muy contenta.  No dice Aniceta que dos veces los ha escondido la llave de la casa y que las dos veces la niña la encontró, después de preguntar a la Virgen y que le dijo la había cogido una mujer de luto, la mism que días primeros había cogido la de Maximina, la de ésta la encontró la niña entre la leña a la puerta y la otra en la casa de Octaviano y la otra en el cubre del (blank) de ella.  Las tres veces las encontró la niña en estado extático.

May 16, 1962.  Today Conchita went to the Pines at 9 in the morning and according to her the Angel gave her Communion. Jacinta had an ecstasy in her house but it didn’t last long. Mari Cruz says that she had an apparition.  She said she’ll see the Virgin again on the 19^th and the other girls told her that she wouldn’t see her and if she did see her she would be very happy.  Aniceta told me twice that she has hidden the house key and the girl found it twice after asking the Virgin.  The Virgin said that a woman in black had taken it, the same one who had taken it from Maximina days before.  The girl found it around the wood next to the door and another in Octaviano’s house and another one at the (blank) of herself.  She was in an ecstatic state the three times she found it.

17-mayo-1962. Solo estuvo María Loli, duró poco.  No había forasteros.  Salieron María Loli y Jacinta a las 9 de la tarde, estuvieron por el pueblo, dieron a besar el crucifijo, rezaron el rosario, duró 60 minutos.  Estaba la familia de Fontaneda.

May 17, 1962. María Loli had an ecstasy that lasted a short time.  No strangers were there.  María Loli and Jacinta left at 9 in the afternoon and went through the village giving the crucifix to be kissed and praying the rosary.  It lasted 60 minutes.  The Fontenada family was there.

19-mayo-1962. A las 9 de la noche salió Conchita de su casa y recorrió todo el pueblo, rezó el rosario y visitó a tres enfermos.  Duró 70 minutos, y a las 12 de la noche tuvo otra aparición, duró 90 minutos.

En unas apariciones me dijo un padre Claresiano que una de las niñas decía:  ah que no es jesuita?  Es del Corazón de María (solo es diferencia en el modo de poner la faja) y me dijo que una cosa solo se podía explicar, pero el conjunto de las cosas que pasan es muy difícil de explicar humanamente.  Este Padre era de Segovia.

Tiene una herida en la pierna y dice que le ha dicho la Virgen que ella no la cura que tiene que ir a ver un médico.  Lleva unos 8 días con la herida.

May 19, 1962. At 9 at night Conchita left her house and raced through the village, praying the rosary and visiting three sick people.  It lasted 70 minutes and at 12 at night she had another apparition that lasted 90 minutes.

During these apparitions a Claretian priest told me that one of the girls said:  “Oh, he’s not a Jesuit?  He’s of the Sacred Heart of Mary. (the only difference is in the way they wear their sashes).”  And he told me that only one thing could be explained, but that with all of the other things, it would be very difficult to explain humanly.  This priest was from Segovia.

He had a wound on his leg and the Virgin said that she would cure him and that he didn’t have to go to the doctor.  He’d had the wound for 8 days.

20-mayo-1962. A la 1 de la noche se puso en éxtasis María Loli en su casa.  Un poco antes había dicho que hora es a los dos minutos se puso en éxtasis.  Salió por el pueblo, volvió a su cocina y dio a besar a la visión medallas y rosarios que tenía allí, que le habían dado los forasteros; estuvo un poco de rodillas con el crucifijo en la mano y hablando alguna cosa que no se le entendió.  Se levantó, cayó de rodillas, se volvió a levantar y subió al piso, cayó de rodillas cuando salió fuera y allí dio a besar el crucifijo a los que estaban en casa.  Terminó a la 1 y media.

Estuvo un doctor de Zaragoza y dice que el reflejo de extorsión (antigravitatorio no existe).  José Hernandez.

May 20, 1962. At 1 at night María Loli went into ecstasy in her house.  A little before she had asked what time it was and then said that she would have an ecstasy in two minutes.  She left and went through the village, then returned to the kitchen and gave the vision medals and rosaries to kiss that she had there that foreigners had given her.  She was on her knees a little while with the crucifix in her hand and she was saying something that we didn’t understand.  She got up, fell to her knees, got up again, and went upstairs.  She fell to her knees when she went outside and gave the crucifix to the people who were in the house to kiss.  It ended at 1:30.

A doctor from Zaragoza was there who said that there was a reflex from forcing  (against gravity it was not present).  His name was José Hernández. 

24-mayo-1962. Tuvo aparición María Loli a las 12 de la noche.  Salió por el pueblo, fue a casa de las 3 niñas y a casa de una enferma.  Había 4 de Córdoba.  Dio a besar varios crucifijos.

May 24, 1962. María Loli had an apparition at 12 at night.  She went through the village and went to the three girls’ houses and the house of a sick person.  four people from Córdoba were there.  She gave several crucifixes to be kissed.

25-mayo-1962. Tuvo aparición Jacinta y María Loli a la una de la mañana.  Fueron por el pueblo y a los Pinos.  Había en Cosío 8 coches de turismo:  dos de Córdoba, 2 de Santander y dos de Barcelona.  También estaba el mayordomo del Seminario.

May 25, 1962. Jacinta and María Loli had apparitions at 1 in the morning.  They went to the village and to the Pines.  There were 8 tourist buses in Cosío:  2 from Córdoba, 2 from Santander, and 2 from Barcelona.  There was also a group from the Seminary.

26-mayo-1962. A las 11 de la noche salió Conchita y María Loli.  Estuvieron por el pueblo, rezaron el rosario, cantaron la Salve, fueron al cementerio.  Jacinta salió a la una, estuvo por el pueblo.  Mari Cruz hace 15 días que no ha tenido aparición.  La última también tardó 17 días en tenerla.

May 26, 1962. At 11 at night Conchita and María Loli left.  They went through the village, prayed the rosary, sang the Salve, and went to the cemetery.  Jacinta left at 1 and went through the village.  It’s been 15 days since Mari Cruz has had an apparition.  The last time she had to wait 17 days to have one.

27-mayo-1962. A las 9 de la tarde fueron a los Pinos:  Jacinta y María Loli y al llegar se pusieron de rodillas y se cayeron hacia atrás.  Iban en éxtasis y después bajaron hacia el pueblo.

May 27, 1962. At 9 Jacinta and María Loli went to the Pines.  Upon arriving, they fell on their knees and fell backwards.  They went into ecstasy and then descended into the village.

28-mayo-1962.A las 12 salió María Loli de su casa en éxtasis.  Estuvo por el pueblo, dio a besar el crucifijo a las personas que estaban en casa.  Jacinta se puso en éxtasis en su casa.  Le dieron a besar las alianzas a la Virgen y después se las puso a los mismos; después vino a casa de María Loli y ésta salió normal y al poco tiempo se puso en éxtasis en el camino de la iglesia.  Después visitó varias casas.  Dio a besar el crucifijo.  Duró todo como una hora.

María Loli dijo que tendría otra aparición a las 2 y media de la noche y así fue, con cinco minutos de diferenica.  Duró 5 minutos.  Solo estaba la familia de Eustaquio y uno de Córdoba, el Sr. Rubio.

May 28, 1962. At 12 María Loli left her house in ecstasy.  She went through the village, gave the crucifix to the people who were there to kiss.  Jacinta went into ecstasy in her house.  They gave wedding rings to the Virgin to kiss and afterward gave them back to their owners;  after this María Loli went to her house and returned to the normal state.  After a little while she fell into ecstasy on the street to the Church.  After this she visited several houses and gave the crucifix to be kissed.  All of this lasted about an hour.

María Loli said she would have another apparition at 2:30 at night and so it happened, but with five minutes’ difference.  It lasted 5 minutes.  Only Eustaquio’s family and Mr. Rubio from Córdoba were there.

29-mayo-1962. A las 9 de la noche salió Conchita en éxtasis de su casa y fue a los Pinos.  Rezó el rosario.  A las 12 tuvo otro y no salió de casa.

María Loli y Jacinta tuvieron aparición muy corta en casa (Ojo! Que pasa?  Pues cuando hay forastero dura más la aparición y salen por el pueblo y cuando no, durá muy poco y no salen de casa.  Esta observación es para Jacinta y María Loli, pues las otras dos tienen menos apariciones y duran más).

May 29, 1962. At 9 at night Conchita left her house in ecstasy and went to the Pines.  She prayed the rosary.  At 12 she had another, but did not leave the house.

María Loli and Jacinta had very short apparitions in their houses (Attn:  What is happening?  Well, when there are foreigners the apparitions last longer and they go out into the village, and when there are no foreigners, the apparitions are shorter and they don’t leave the house.  This observation is for Jacinta and María Loli; the other girls have fewer apparitions that last longer).

30-mayo-1962. Tuvieron aparición Jacinta y María Loli a las 11 de la noche y duró unos minutos; estuvieron presentes los profesores de San Sebastián.

May 30, 1962. Jacinta and María Loli had apparitions at 11 at night and they lasted a few minutes; the teachers from San Sebastián were the only ones there.

31-mayo-1962. A las 9 fue María Loli y Jacinta a casa de Clementina donde estaba un ciego y dos profesores del Seminario de San Sebastián.  Les hicieron unas cruces en la cama, también les escribió unas estampas en estado natural una y otra al terminar en éxtasis; rezaron el rosario y cantaron la Salve.  Terminó a las 11 y media.

May 31, 1962. At 9 María Loli and Jacinta went to Clementina’s house where a blind person and two teachers from the Seminary at San Sebastián were.  They made crosses on the bed and also wrote on some holy cards; one was in the natural state and the other did this after the ecstasy finished.  They prayed the rosary and sang the Salve.  It ended at 11:30.

1-junio-1962. María Loli a las 9, fue por el pueblo y dio a besar el crucifijo.  Después salió Jacinta y entró en casa de Primitiva y le dio a besar el crucifijo a una persona y desde alli vino a casa de Mari Cruz y desde allí fue a la iglesia y se le quitó a la puerta de la iglesia.  A la una de la noche tuvo otra aparición María Loli en su casa, duró unos 20 minutos.  Fue a casa donde estaba el ciego, e hizo dos cruces en la cama de los profesores (hay que aclarar que esta noche no estaba más que un profesor, pues el otro dormía en casa de Tiva).  Dio varias vueltas por el pueblo.

Esta noche fue cuando María Loli le dio escritas unas estampas (Hay que aclarar que esto que pone en las estampas es una cosa muy general pues dice:  La Virgen está muy contenta de usted; y esto se lo suelen poner a todos).

June 1, 1962. At 9 María Loli went through the village and gave the crucifix to be kissed.  After that Jacinta left and entered Primitiva’s house where she gave the crucifix to someone to kiss and then from there she went to Mari Cruz’s house.  From there she went to the Church where the ecstasy left her at the door.  At 1 at night María Loli had another apparition in her house which lasted about 20 minutes.  She went to the house where the blind man was and made two crosses on the beds of the two teachers (I have to clarify that on that night there was only one teacher there and the other one was sleeping in Tiva’s house).  She went around the village.

That night María Loli wrote on some holy cards (I have to clarify that she wrote something very general on the cards.  It said:  “The Virgin is very happy with you.”  She put this on all of them).

2-junio-1962. A las 2 de la noche salió Conchita de su casa y dio unos anillos a un médico y señora de Vallodolid y se los colocó; después fue a casa de María Loli y allí estuvo en la cocina y desde allí vino a la iglesia.  Estuvo de rodillas a la puerta y fue a casa de una enferma y estando en casa de Bela dijo:  ahí viene María Loli, como trae la cabeza y desde luego desde allí no la podía ver y desde allí fue a casa de Josefa, y de ahí a casa de Jacinta y después volvió a su casa y le puso el anillo a ese señor de Barcelona.  Primero le dio a besar y después fue a la iglesia, cayó dos veces de rodillas y desde aquí fue a casa de Maximina, dio otras vueltas por el pueblo y después al Cuadro, se puso de rodillas bajó de espaldas hasta su casa, dio otra vuelta por el pueblo y se encontró con María Loli y se paró, y después se cayó de rodillas en los pozos y allí estuvo buen rato, y después se quedó un poco de pie y salió corriendo a su casa y allí al poco tiempo se le quitó.

June 2, 1962. At 2 at night Conchita left her house and gave some rings to a doctor and a lady from Valladolid; she put the rings on them.  Afterward she went to María Loli’s house and went to the kitchen.  From there she went to the Church.  She was on her knees at the door of the Church and she went to a sick woman’s house.  She was in Bela’s house saying:  “María Loli comes here.”  We couldn’t see her because of the way she held her head and from there she went to Josefa’s house, then to Jacinta’s house and then she returned to her house and put a ring on the man from Barcelona’s finger.  First she’d given it to be kissed, then she went to the Church and fell on her knees twice.  From there she went to Maximina’s house and went around the village several more times.  Then she went to the Cuadro, knelt, and descended backwards until she reached her house.  She went around the village again and met María Loli.  She stopped, then fell on her knees next to the wells and stayed there for awhile.  After this she stood up and left running to her house.  After a little while, the ecstasy left her.

Jacinta la tuvo en casa como 10 minutos. (Me dice un médico joven de Valladolid que el no ve nada, que se aponga a que pueda ser sobrenatural y que razonando lo sin prejuicios es muy difícil decir lo contrario. Es preciso ser sencillos para aceptar que estos fenómenos no son normales.  Naturalmente que si queremos buscar explicación téorica de un hecho visto, la encontramos siempre pero solo explicación teórica y basándonos en múltiples argumentos hipotéticos, pero sin una demostración concreta y objetiva.  Fernández Marcos.  Regalado, 11). También tuvo aparición Jacinta 10 minutos en casa. María Loli salió por el pueblo, estuvo 45 minutos.

Jacinta had an apparition in her house for 10 minutes. (A young doctor from Valladolid tells me that he didn’t see anything that could prove that this isn’t supernatural and if one reasons without prejudices it’s very difficult to say otherwise. It’s important to be simple to accept that these phenomena are not normal.  Naturally, if we want to find a theoretical explanation of what we have seen, we will always find one because a theoretical explanation is only based on multiple hypothetical arguments, without any objective, concrete demonstration.  Fernández Marcos.  Regalado, 11). June 3, 1962. Conchita, Loli, and Jacinta had apparitions (the priest from Palencia, Fr. Luís, the journalist and four women were there and celebrated mass without my permission).

7-junio-1962. Tuvieron aparición Jacinta y María Loli.  Fueron por el pueblo.  Subieron a casa de un muerto (no resucitó) y dice Claudio que entraron empujando a la gente, después rezaron por el pueblo y duró una hora.  (Lleva unos días aquí un francés dice que va a venir un médico).  Dice que Tovalina es duro y que no le hizo caso y el Obispo le dijo que sería enfermedad.

June 7, 1962. Jacinta and María Loli had apparitions.  They went through the village.  They went up to the home of a dead man (he did not resucitate) and Claudio said that they went pushing through the crowd and after that they prayed a rosary around the village that lasted an hour.  (A French boy who has been here several days says that a doctor is supposed to come).  He said that Tovalina is a very difficult person and would not listen to him and the Bishop told him it must be a sickness.

8-junio-1962. Tuvieron aparición María Loli y Jacinta.  Rezaron el rosario por la calle, visitaron varias casas.  María Loli fue a casa de Primitiva.  Comenzó a las 11 de la noche y terminó a las 12.  (Estuvo un sacerdote de visita, amigo de la familia de Opus Montserrat).

June 8, 1962. María Loli and Jacinta had apparitions.  They prayed the rosary in the streets and visited various houses.  María Loli went to Primitiva’s house.  It began at 11 at night and ended at 12.  (A priest was visiting who was a friend of the Opus Montserrat family).

9-junio-1962. Ayer no comulgó Conchita en la misa funeral de Beba y después de misa me dice su madre que le diera de comulgar.  No quise porque por la tarde no se puede dar.  Hoy por la mañana tuvo aparición y dice que le dijo el Angel que podía comulgar sin confesar.  Comulgó (que raro es todo esto).

June 9, 1962. Yesterday Conchita didn’t receive Communion at Beba’s funeral mass and afterwards her mother asked me to give it to her.  I didn’t want to because we’re not supposed to give it in the afternoon.  Today in the morning she had an apparition and she said that the Angel told her that she could go to Communion without confessing.  She went to Communion (this is very strange).

Tuvieron aparición Conchita y María Loli, a las 11 de la noche, estuvieron por el pueblo, dieron a besar los anillos de unos matrimonios catalanes y se los devolvieron a cada uno.  Estuvieron 4 monjas de Valladolid con 40 niñas y se fueron muy impresionadas.

Conchita and María Loli had apparitions at 11 at night.  They went through the village and gave wedding rings belonging to some Catalans to be kissed, and then returned each one to its owner.  four nuns from Valladolid were there with 40 children; they were very impressed.

10-junio-1962. Tuvieron aparición María Loli y Jacinta, a las 10 de la noche.  Estuvieron por el pueblo, subieron a los Pinos rezando el rosario y cantaron la Salve, estuvieron en cada de las otras niñas.

June 10, 1962. María Loli and Jacinta had apparitions at 10 at night.  They were in the village, went up to the Pines praying the rosary and singing the Salve, and they went to the other girls’ houses.

A las 11 y media salió Conchita de su casa estuvo por todo el pueblo.  Dio a besar el Crucifijo a las personas que estábamos en casa, yo ví como estando en este estado le metió en el bolsillo del abrigo un rosario a un sacerdote de Palencia (el de los versos) y no era de él.  La niña le dio a besar a la visión y se lo entregó a la dueña que era de Herrera del Pisuerga:  Había allí como unas 50 personas.  Fue a los Pinos, bajó de espalda, fue al cementerio, rezó el rosario y por el pueblo se le quitó a las 12 y media.

At 11:30 Conchita left her house and went through the village.  She gave the crucifix to be kissed to the people who were in the house and I saw that while she was in this state she reached into the coat pockets of a priest from Palencia and took out a rosary (he was the one who wrote the poems).  The rosary didn’t belong to him.  The girl gave it to the vision to kiss and returned it to its owner, who was from Herrera del Pisuerga.   There were about 50 people there from that town.  She went to the Pines, descended backwards, went to the cemetery, prayed the rosary through the village, and the ecstasy left her at 12:30.

Este día estaba también el Consiliario de Acción Católica de Vich.  Iba muy bien impresionado según me dijo a mi. A las 2 y media tuvo otra aparición María Loli duró unos 15 minutos.

That day the Counselor of Catholic Action from Vich was there.  He told me that he was very impressed. At 2:30 María Loli had another apparition that lasted 15 minutes.

11-junio-1962. Tuvieron aparición Jacinta y María Dolores a las 11 de la noche.  Estuvieron por el pueblo y dieron a besar el Crucifijo a las personas.  Duró una hora.

Le dijo María Dolores a Mari Cruz que mañana vería la Virgen.  (Tengo que hacer costar que hace unos días le dijo lo mismo a Jacinta y no la vio.  Veremos a ver que pasa mañana).

June 11, 1962. Jacinta and María Dolores had apparitions at 11 at night.  They were in the village and gave the crucifix to the people to kiss.  It lasted one hour.

María Dolores told Mari Cruz that she would see the Virgin tomorrow.  (I have to say that a few days ago she said the same thing to Jacinta and Jacinta didn’t see her.  We’ll see what happens tomorrow).

12-junio-1962. Tuvo aparición María Loli.  Fue por el pueblo y a casa de Rafaela que estaba en la agonía.  Comenzó a las 10 y media y duró 15 minutos.  Después salió Jacinta y estuvo como otros 15 minutos.

Hasta las 11 estuvo Mari Cruz en casa de Ceferino, que le había dicho María Loli el día anterior que tenía aparición hoy.  Hasta esta hora no había tenido, veremos a ver que pasa.

A las 12 y media tuvo aparición Mari Cruz y fue a casa de las tres niñas.  Duró hasta la una.

Nota:  Tengo que hacer constar que hace 25 días tuvo la última aparición y que en 42 días ha tenido dos apariciones.

Nota:  Conchita lleva dos días en la cama con derrame en una pierna.

June 12, 1962. María Loli had an apparition.  She went through the village and to the house of Rafaela, who was dying.  It began at 10:30 and lasted 15 minutes.  After this Jacinta left and was in ecstasy for another 15 minutes.

Mari Cruz was in Ceferino’s house until 11, and María Loli had told her yesterday that she would have an apparition today.  Up to this time, she hadn’t had one; we’ll see what happens.

At 12:30 Mari Cruz had an apparition and went to the three girls’ houses.  It lasted until 1.

Note:  I have to write down that it has been 25 days since her last apparition and that in 42 days she has only had two apparitions.

Note:  Conchita has spent two days in bed because one of her legs is bleeding.

13-junio-1962. Tuvieron aparición las cuatro:  Al anochecer y duró como otras veces.  No había público de fuera.

Mari Cruz estuvo desde la 1 de la noche hasta la 1 y media.  Fue a la Calleja, se extasió allí.  Bajó a casa a buscar a la cruz y fue a la casa de las tres niñas.  Fue a casa de Rafaela que estaba en la agonia.

Conchita la tuvo en casa.

Jacinta y María Loli anduvieron juntas por el pueblo a las 12 hasta las 12 y media.

June 13, 1962. The four girls had apparitions:  it was at night and lasted the usual about of time.  There weren’t any people outside.

Mari Cruz’s apparition went from 1 at night until 1:30.  She went to the Calleja and went into ecstasy there.  She went down to her house to find a cross and went to the three girls’ houses.  She went to Rafaela’s house, who was in agony.

Conchita had an ecstasy in her house.

Jacinta and María Loli walked through the village together from 12 until 12:30.

14-junio-1962. Tuvo aparición María Loli a las 11.  Anduvo por el pueblo, vino a casa de Jacinta, duro media hora.  Jacinta estuvo en su casa, poco tiempo.

June 14, 1962. María Loli had an apparition at 11.  She walked through the village, and went to Jacinta’s house.  It lasted half an hour.  Jacinta had one in her house for a little while.

15-junio-1962. No tuvieron apariciones ninguna.

Mari Cruz había dicho que la tenía y no fue así.  Aquella misma noche le dijo Conchita a su madre:  verás como Mari Cruz no tiene aparición y así fue.

June 15, 1962. None of the girls had apparitions.

Mari Cruz had said that she would have an apparition, but didn’t.  That night Conchita told her mother:  “You’ll see, Mari Cruz won’t have an apparition.”  And she didn’t.

16-junio-1962. Tuvo aparición Conchita en su casa a las 12:15 de la noche.  Estaban en casa 3 personas de Madrid, primero se quedó sentada como estaba, después se bajó del fogón, dio unos rodillazos  muy fuertes, después dio a besar las medallas y alianza que le habían entregado, devolviendo las cosas a sus dueños.  Hablé con la familia madrileña y estaban muy impresionados.  Duró 25 minutos.

June 16, 1962. Conchita had an apparition in her house at 12:15 at night.  three people from Madrid were in the house.  First she sat, then she went down next to the fire place, and knelt down very hard.  After that she gave medals and wedding rings to be kissed that had been given to her, then she returned them to their owners.  I spoke with the family from Madrid and they were very impressed.  It lasted 25 minutes.

Tuvieron aparición también María Loli y Jacinta, a las 10 y media estuvo unos minutos.  María Loli duró más tiempo.  Dicen que perdió una medalla y que estaban algo preocupados y dijo:  bueno como voy a tener otra aparición se lo pregunto y me lo dice.  Y en la segunda aparición dice la niña que se lo preguntó y después, ya fuera de éxtasis, fue a buscarla y la encontró.  (Ojo!  Esto me escama mucho, pues algunas veces me han dicho que lo hace ella).

María Loli and Jacinta also had apparitions at 10:30 that lasted for a few minutes.  María Loli’s lasted longer.  They said that she lost a medal and tha she was concerned and she said:  “Well, I’m going to have another apparition so I’ll ask and she’ll tell me where it is.”  In the second apparition the girl asked and after, when she left the ecstasy, she went looking for it and found it.  (Notice:  sometimes I don’t like this, since they’ve told me she does it sometimes).

17-junio-1962. Acompañado de mi esposa, presencié en el día de la fecha un éxtasis de la niña Conchita, durante el cual ocurrió el siguiente hecho entre otros:  a través de una tercera persona le hice entregar mi anillo-alianza antes del éxtasis, sin decirle que era mío, sino haciendo ver que era de la citada tercera persona.  Durante el mismo cogió la alianza y dijo:  “Me dijo que era suyo y no lo es.”  Y entonces dirigiéndose a mi me lo colocó en un dedo.

June 17, 1962. Accompanied by my wife, I witnessed Conchita’s ecstasy that day, and during it the following thing happened:  I’d given a third party my wedding ring before the ecstasy, without saying that it was mine; I did it as though it was really hers.  During the ecstasy, she took the ring and said:  “She told me that it was hers, but it isn’t.”  Then Conchita came towards me and put it on my finger.

También le confiamos dos estampas de la Santísima Virgen y mi esposa la cadena y medalla-escapulario.  A pesar de la gran profusión que llevaba encima a cada persona le devolvió lo suyo correspondiente.

We also entrusted two holy cards of the Virgin and a chain with a medal-scapular on it to this third party.  Even though she had many things she returned the correct item to each person.

Prsencié también un éxtasis de María Dolores, en el que ocurrieron hechos similares al anterior, viendo como la niña hablaba extasiada.  Como detalle impresionante fue una caída de rodillas desde la altura de un escalón de unos 20 cms al suelo, sin lesión aparente alguna, ni caída ni signo de dolor.  Firmado:  Francisco Coca Gregorio.  Craywinckel, 18. I also witnessed an ecstasy experienced by María Dolores, in which similar things occured, since this child was in ecstasy as well.  One impressive detail was that she fell to her knees from a ladder 20 centimeters from the floor and she didn’t have any apparent injury, nor any sign of pain.  Signed:  Francisco Coca Gregorio.  Craywinckel, 18.  Barcelona.

The four girls had ecstasies.  They went through the village.  Mari Cruz went to the Cuadro in the natural stae and fell into ecstasy there.  After that she went to the Church and then through the village.  It lasted 45 minutes.

Jacinta estuvo por el pueblo; al anochecer con María Loli fueron al Cuadro, estuvieron por el pueblo, fueron dos veces a la iglesia y dieron a besar las cosas que les entregaron, volviéndoselas a su dueño.

Jacinta was in the village; at nighttime she went to the Cuadro with María Loli.  They went through the village, and they went to the Church twice and gave things to be kissed that the people gave them.  They returned the things to their owners.

Uno de Palencia estaba algo escéptico y dijo para si:  Si la niña vuelve a darme el crucifijo a besar creeré en esto e inmediatamente se abrió para entre el público; y se fue a dárselo.  Duró como una hora.  A las 2 y media tuvo otra aparición María Loli.

A person from Palencia was skeptical and said:  “If the girl brings me the crucifix to kiss I will believe in this.”  Immediately, a path opened in the group and the girl gave it to him.  It lasted about an hour.  At 2:30 María Loli had another apparition.

18-junio-1962. Al anochecer fue Mari Cruz al Cuadro y allí se quedó en éxtasis y después fue por el pueblo.  Dio a besar las cosas que el público le entregó.  Duró como una hora.

Al poco tiempo salieron Jacinta y María Loli.  Fueron al Cuadro y allí se pusieron en éxtasis.  Dicen que vieron al Angel.  Duró 14 minutos.  Y dijeron que más tarde verían a la Virgen y a las 11 y media salieron las dos.  Fueron hacia el Cuadro, rezaron el rosario y el público cantó la Salve.  Duró 35 minutos.

Conchita tuvo aparición en su casa.  Y allí dio a besar las cosas que le habían entregado.  Duró unos 20 minutos.

June 18, 1962. At nighttime Mari Cruz went to the Cuadro and fell into ecstasy.  She went through the village.  She gave things to be kissed that the people had given her.  It lasted about an hour.

After a little while Jacinta and María Loli left.  They went to the Cuadro and fell into ecstasy.  They said that they saw the Angel.  It lasted 14 minutes.  They said that they would see the Virgin later and at 11:30 they went into ecstasy again.  They went to the Cuadro, prayed the rosary and the people sang the Salve.  It lasted 35 minutes.

Conchita had an ecstasy in her house.  She gave things to be kissed that had been given to her.  It lasted 20 minutes.

19-junio-1962. A las 10 y media fueron Jacinta, María Loli y Mari Cruz al Cuadro y allí estuvieron unos 15 minutos.

La Virgen nos ha dicho que  no esperamos el castigo, pero que sin pensarlo vendrá, porque el mundo no ha cambiado y ya lo ha dicho con estas dos veces y no la atendemos porque el mundo está peor y hay que cambiar mucho y no ha cambiado nada, preparaos, confesar, que el castigo pronto vendrá y el mundo sigue igual y lo digo yo que el mundo no ha cambiado nada, que pena que no cambie, pronto vendrá el castigo muy grande si no cambia.  Firma:  María Loli y Jacinta.

June 19, 1962. At 10:30 Jacinta, María Loli, and Mari Cruz went to the Cuadro and were there for 15 minutes.

The Virgin has told them that we are not waiting for the punishment, but when we least expect it, it will come because the world has not changed.  She has told us twice already and we don’t pay attention because the world is worse and we have to change a lot, but we haven’t changed anything.  We have to prepare and confess since the punishment is coming soon and the world continues the same; the world had not changed at all.  It is a shame that it does not change because a very big punishment will come if we don’t change.  Signed:  María Loli and Jacinta.

(Conchita escribió a oscuras y en éxtasis unas contestaciones a 3 personas y escribía sobre el papel sin apoyarle en ninguna parte).

Primero fueron María Loli y Jacinta al Cuadro corriendo y al llegar a donde el Angel, quedaron en éxtasis y dicen que vieron al Angel y les dijo que volvieran a las 10 y media al Cuadro y bajaron y después dijeron que lo darían por escrito.

Las niñas lloraban.  Decían:  no nos digas eso, llévanos a nosotras, que se confiesen, que se preparen.

Duró 50 minutos.

(Conchita wrote in the dark and in ecstasy answers for three people and she wrote on the paper without any support whatsoever).

First María Loli and Jacinta ran to the Cuadro and arrived where the Angel was.  They fell into ecstasy and said they saw the Angel and he told them to go back to the Cuadro at 10:30.  They went down and said that they would write it down later.

The girls cried.  They said:  “Don’t say that, take us.  We hope they go to confession and prepare.”

It lasted 50 minutes.

20-junio-1962. Fueron como el día anterior al Cuadro a las 10 y media y dijeron que habían visto al Angel que los había dicho que la Virgen volvería luego y que la gente no pasase de la última casa y así lo hizo la gente.  Estaba un Padre Franciscano y este parece que iba a salir al Cuadro y Ceferino se lo impidió con esta frase:  “Aquí todos somos iguales” (que barbaridad!).  Después parece que las niñas se les oyó llorar mucho y bajaron diciendo que se confesara la gente, que iba a venir un castigo muy grande porque el mundo no se enmendaba.  Esto terminó como a las 2 y media.  Y las niñas y mucho público estuvo hasta las 6 de la mañana en la calleja, rezaron varios rosarios. 

(Confesó casi todo el pueblo)

June 20, 1962. They went to the Cuadro as on the day before at 10:30 and they said that they saw the Angel and he said that the Virgin would appear later, and that the people should not pass the last house, and so they didn’t.  A Franciscan priest was there and it seemed that he was going to go to the Cuadro and Ceferino stopped him with this sentence:  “Here we are all equals.”  (How rude!)  Afterward, it seemed that the girls were crying a lot and they came down saying that the people should confess, and that a very big punishment was coming because the world didn’t change.  This ended at 2:30.  The girls and the people were there in the Calleya until 6 in the morning, praying rosaries.

(Almost the entire village confessed).

21-junio-1962. Fue Mari Cruz al Cuadro.  Iba natural y al llegar se arrodilló y quedó en éxtasis.  No habló nada, tenía los ojos muy vueltos.  Solo se veía lo blanco.  Duró 25 minutos.  Las demás niñas no tuvieron aparición.  Estuvo un Franciscano que confesó e hizo la Misa.

June 21, 1962. Mari Cruz went to the Cuadro.  She was in the natural state and when she arrived she knelt and fell into ecstasy.  She didn’t say anything and her eyes were turned upward.  We could only see the whites of her eyes.  It lasted 25 minutes.  The other girls didn’t have apparitions.  A Franciscan priest was there and he heard confessions and said mass.

22-junio-1962. No tuvieron aparición ninguna.

June 22, 1962. None of the girls had apparitions.

24-junio-1962. Fueron Jacinta y María Loli al Cuadro en estado natural y al llegar al Cuadro quedaron en éxtasis y después bajaron en éxtasis; María Loli anduvo un poco por el pueblo y volvió al Cuadro.  Esto era a las 11 de la noche.  Duró como media hora.

Después subieron al Cuadro a las 11 y media y dijeron que no subiese nadie y allí estuvieron como 15 minutos.  Se conocía que habían llorado.  Después tuvieron otra tercera aparición en sus casas, donde dieron a besar objetos.

Estaban unos forasteros entre ellos los Marqueses de Villar.

June 24, 1962. Jacinta and María Loli went to the Cuadro in the natural state and upon arriving they fell into ecstasy and descended into the village that way.  María Loli walked through the village a little and then returned to the Cuadro.  This was at 11 at night.  It lasted half an hour.

After that they went up to the Cuadro at 11:30 and said that no one could come up with them.  They stayed there for 15 minutes.  It was noticeable that they had been crying.  Afterwards they had a third apparition in their houses, where they gave objects to be kissed.

There were some foreigners, among them the Marqueses de Villar.

27-junio-1962. Tuvieron aparición María Loli, Conchita, y Jacinta.  No hubo nada de novedad distinta de otras veces.

María Loli tuvo dos apariciones una a las 11 y otra a las 2 y media de la noche.

Estuvieron 4 Seminaristas de Comillas y un Sacerdote de Palencia.  Iban muy bien impresionados.

June 27, 1962. María Loli, Conchita, and Jacinta had apparitions.  Nothing different from the other times happened.

4 Seminarians  from Comillas came as well as a priest from Palencia.  They were very impressed.

June 28, 1962. Jacinta had an apparition at 11:30 and María Loli had one at 12, and another at four in the morning.

Estuvieron 4 Seminaristas y la familia Fontenada.

Four seminarians and the Fontenada family were there.

23-24-25 y 26-junio-1962. Tuvieron aparición Jacinta, María Loli y Conchita, pero no hubo nada de particular.
